Hey Meg - Welcome - as the girls said - BB is a great avenue of support & information.

Lise - stop stressing - I am sure everything will be fine! GL for ET today.

Sonya - with EPU I am sure it would be general as well. My only EPU was at Freemasons & it was general so I can't comment on RWomans. But I would have thought the standard is general - I read somewhere you can ask for a local so you can be awake for it.

At home today girls - still in my PJ's and taking it easy! Not thinking about the 2WW - trying to put it out of mind in a sense but still remember to take it easy, watch what I eat etc etc!!! We will see how sane I am feeling by the weekend!!!

Well I'm now officially in the 2WW!! No phone call this morning though while I was having acupuncture my phone rang a couple of times and I had a mini heart attack until I finally got to look at my phone and it was just a friend. Calling twice! Anyway out of the 7 eggs 6 fertilised but 3 of those were again multi nucleate (has anyone else had this? FS told us last time it was very rare but now it's happened to us twice...) so we ended up with 3. Don't know about the grade but FS was very happy with them and we transferred two. Of course I've got my twin names all picked out, covering all three possible combinations

Enough about me. Sonyalouise - I've only had EPU at Freemasons also but from what I understand MIVF always use the same procedure and you won't be awake. At least that's what one of the nurses told me. GL, hope it gies well and you get lots of eggs!

Hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying the sunshine!

Silly me, Nix, glad you are resting up today, and glad I'll have a friend to share the 2WW with Now that I'm home I'm about to put the pyjamas back on and snuggle on the couch. DH has given me strict instructions not to move, I like it!!

    Hi Ladies!

I hope everyone is doing well today! I'll apologise in advance for missing anyone so here is a big sorry !

Emerald Star - I hope the 2WW is treating you well and only... 4 days to POAS - yay! Lots and Lots of to you! I have all of my fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed for you!

Airline - I hope those injections are working their magic and you are growing lots and lots of big follies! When is your next BT and scan?

lise - Glad to hear that the ET went well and lots and lots of to you also! Twins.. that would fantastic.. instant family, he, he! Sorry to hear that 3 of your eggs were multi nucleate. I haven't heard of this before so I can't shed any light on the topic for you (sorry). Did you send the other one to freeze? In regards to time off - my transfer will be on a Saturday so I will have that and Sunday off to relax. I am also thinking of taking Monday and Tuesday as flex although not sure yet?

sonyalouise - I hope that you are feeling better and that you have managed to get rid of that terrible cough! Have you found out when your EPU is yet?

tantee - Thanks for sending AF my way as she arrived the day after you posted and I am happy to report that she has now left the building... yay! I am so sorry to hear that your FS can't fit you in this month and good luck with the cycle in November.

Meg76 - ! This is a great site and as mentioned, all the girls on here are fantastic! Good Luck with your cycle and I hope you are 1st time lucky!

Melttc - Good Luck with the scan today and I hope you have great results! My DH provides his sample at home and then we take it straight into the clinic... Glad to hear that you are not finding the injections as bad as you first thought - yay!

Nix - I'm so happy to hear that the transfer went well and a Big Good Luck with the 2WW! Do I hear twins... he, he! Lots and lots of to you and I'm glad to hear that you are resting up...

Tracy - Good Luck with the cycle and I hope it brings you your long awaited BFP! I take Lucrin instead of synarel so I can't sympathise with you... By all accounts on BB, it doesn't seem all that pleasant so I think I am getting off lightly with Lucrin (except for the constant headaches!).

mitf - Thanks.. AF finally showed her head last Saturday and has now finished -yay! The minute she arrived I felt so much better on the emotional front! How is your FET cycle going?

AFM -Well, AF finally arrived last Saturday and I felt a flood of relief the minute she started... I'm still on the Lucrin and had a scan and BT yesterday to check that there was no activity going on in my ovaries before starting the FSH. Got the all clear yesterday (yay!) and started my FSH this morning at 150. I can' believe it, but I am already feeling things at work and are tender around the ovary area and bloated! Next step is a day 6 BT on Monday and then a scan on Friday to check how my follies are going. Slowly getting there and starting to get a little excited!

    Good Afternoon Ladies,

I too noticed that BB was down yesterday. I thought it was actually a problem at my works end and was frustrated that I couldn't get my daily fix when I needed to take my mind off work for a few minutes.

Airline - thanks for asking after me. Things are all fine at my end... didn't do an AFM bit last time as I didn't really have anything to contribute. Was just waiting for the days to keep ticking over. I am getting down to the business end of things now. I hope the injections are getting easier ? luckily they have never bothered me too much.

Meg - Welcome from me also. As some of the other ladies have mentioned this is a great place to share your journey, seek advice or even just vent when needed. All the best as you navigate through your first IVF cycle. you will have some beginners luck!

Lise - Glad to hear ET went well today today and I hope the acupuncture has helped you feel nice and relaxed. I have previously only taken the day off for ET although I am thinking of taking an extra 1-2 days depending on what day ET ends up falling. I am not sure what multi nucleate means but thinking back to high school science the nucleus is the centre of a cell so it sounds like you embies have 2 centre?s. I wonder if this is what happens when you get identical twins? that you get a couple of strong embies to freeze anyway.

Sonya - I had a general for EPU, although I believe it is usually a lighter general than used for an operation. I have heard of other ladies only having a lighter sedation and they are usually groggy but still lucid. Enjoy your days off and GL with your EPU tomorrow.

Nix - Glad to hear that your FET went well and I hope you enjoy your day at home. There is nothing better than pottering around the house in your PJs. All the best for the TWW..... I look forward to hearing if it will be an instant family for you and DH.

Melttc - my DH has provided the sample at home and at the clinic. I think he prefers the clinic as it is close to work and he doesn't have to worry about anything. The ladies at the clinic are discreet and they have a little 2 way draw that you put the sample in so he doesn't have to walk through the clinic and hand it over to the receptionist or anything. He did tell me though he never sits in the chair and is careful with what he touches! I also write all my post in word and paste into BB. Saves system issues plus it allows me to see any new posts which have arrived while typing my inevitable essay with so many ladies to keep up with. GL with your injections (I sometimes get bruises from the injections and even the acupuncturist) and I hope the scan went well today.

Tracy - hope you are managing to cope with the Synarel.... it really is quite horrid stuff.

EmeraldStar - I hope you are keeping sane on your TWW. x

Loops - hope you had fun at the Deni ute muster. I saw it on 60 minutes the other night. Looked like fun (and very wet!) I hope you are felling better too.

Tantee, Coral, MHIC, mummawannabe and anyone else lurking I hope you are all well and things are progressing ok in your cycles.

AFM - This is my first FET so things are feeling all new again. I was up at the crack of dawn to have my first BT (day 10) and then had an acupuncture appointment all before work. I had a good chat to the my favourite nurse at the clinic and think I will be looking at ET around the 16/17/18. We also discussed options if this FET cycle isn't successful. If not I think I will head straight into another stim before the end of the year and the Medicare changes come into effect. Don't get me wrong I am very optimistic that hopefully this cycle will result in that elusive BFP but I want to have a plan for the future just in case. Plus that way I am not worrying about making any decisions while dealing with the horrible emotions that comes with a BFN..... I hope that makes sense - does in my head anyway.

    Hi all
Im back from my weekend at Deni Ute Muster and couple of days off work.
It was a great weekend - thanks for asking everyone. The weather wasnt too bad and the music and entertainment was fantastic - yet again.

Ive had a bit of a scan through but its hard to keep up when you've been gone for a while.

Hi and welcome to the newbies.
Good luck to those in TWW - hope you get your much deserved BFP's!
All the best to those jabbing and waiting for EPU's and ET's - try not too stress, the processes dont take long and Im sure all will be worth it.

Hi to everyone and all the best, lots of

AFM - not much happening at all sadly on the babyfront. Waiting for Dec to hopefully do another stim cycle but still need to sell our tractor first.

Loops, hmm, haven't had to send any "good selling" vibes before, but I'll see what I can muster up... (yes, that rather sad pun was intentional - sorry) Glad to hear you had a good weekend. Sounds like we might end up being cycle buddies in December if all goes to plan? Actually, on second thoughts, FX we both get (sticky) surprise BFP's before that!

Wow...ok how many different ways did I try and log onto the site yesterday!! The lazy 'favourites' way, the google way, the 'ok, ok, I'll type the whole address in the adress bar' way..... eventually my hormone inflicted mind worked out...it was just not gonna come to the party. I even wondered if it was cos too many of us were trying to log on at same time!!

Anyway.....onto personals, and you girls know the drill, if I don't mention you, it's cos I've not toggled enough between screens, and I apologise!!

Loops - fingers crossed you sell the tractor. Is it the kind of asset that's easy to get rid of ie - good market for them? For a momentI miss red your post, and thought you were waiting on 'Dec' or Declan your other half to start the stim cycle...then it all became clear ! love that synarel!

Mitf - thanks for the thoughts, this mornings needle was tender too, but I've never had issue before, strange. Positive thoughts coming your way re. FET.

Coral - next BT is 13th and scan same day. I only started my injections yesterday, and you started yours today..congrats! They've extended my injections as I've 'blown out' the first 2 cycles so they've built exta days in this time. What day is your EPU? Mine is 21st - all being well

Lise - my FS says quality not quantity of eggs! Well done, and you sit there and relax..that's an order!!!

Meg - hello, and no offence but hopefully you won't stick around long!! We all want our journeys on here to be short and as sweet as poss. Check out some of the signatures, they'll give you hope, strength and provoke questions that will help you along in your journey.

Sonya - Thursday !! whoo hoo!!! and then I"ll have to check up on folk in the 2ww thread, before I join at end of month...

AFM - feeling a little emotional but all good!! got days off with DH so good luck to all and I'll check in later

Lise - curiosity got the better of me and it seems I was half right. Multinucleation does refer to two nuclus' but it has nothing to do with twins. I found this on advancedfertility.com if anyone else is interested.

    Presence of multinucleation

An embryo is multinucleated if more than one nucleus can be seen in any individual cell on either day 2 or day 3. After day 3 it is extremely difficult to identify the presence of multinucleation. The majority of multinucleated embryos have been shown to be chromosomally abnormal in PGD studies.

However, sometimes multinucleated embryos implant and lead to a healthy pregnancy and birth of a normal baby. These embryos are generally only transferred to the uterus if they are the only ones available.
