Hi guys.
sorry I have not been into the personals lately. Its all been a bit overwhelming.
I went through 8 1/2 years of not knowing if I would ever get/then stay pregnant that these last couple of months have been really full on and really scary. Knowing this is possibly our last step of having a baby of our own.
It all seems like its happening so quickly and the fact that my first follie scan is only just over a week away is just mind blowing.
I start my injections tomorrow night. They dont scare me I've done them for 8 cycles. its the OPU and the ET that Im unfamiliar with as well as all the uncertainties that go with them as well.
In any case I am going to try to get back into daily posting and also try and catch up with whats happening with you all.
What a day yesterday was. I called the clinic at 2pm as usual only to find out that their machine for the blood tests had broken down and they had to rerun all the tests again. I called at 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and still no results. They then took my mobile no and said they'd call me once the results were in.
I wasn't panicking coz I figured I had a few more days to go, but DH kept on my case and so at 7pm, I called the clinic emergency no (the phones were swtiched off) and the head coordinator said that she was still at the clinic and was hoping to have the results in soon, then she'd have to call the doctors for instructions, and she promised to call me back.
When I hadn't heard by 9pm, I figured, bugger this, I'm just going to turn up tomorrow morning for a BT and a u/s.
At 9.15pm, my mobile rang. The nurse thought she'd better call me first because I had to have my trigger at 10:15pm!!!! My OPU is on Sunday morning, CD 13!
Lol! I was freaking last night trying to organise someone to watch Zaki on Sunday!
So I'm going in tomorrow morning and will hopefully be able to report our numbers by the arvo.
Sushee- Great news re your pickup day tomorrow. All the very best of luck!!
I won't be far behind.......... I trigger tonight for pickup on Mon morn. Very exciting!! My clinic does 2 day transfers so i'll be going in for transfer on Wed (all things going well.) Looks like we'll be TWW buddies!!
Didn't think I'd be first cab off the ranks between Ali, Keen and I, but can't say I'm not glad, as the old belly looks about 3mths pg at the mo! Clinic has booked me in for a Wed (assisted hatching) or a Fri (blastocyst) ET, but DH and I both agree that's we're going for broke this time, and will hang out for a blast or nothing at all.
Going to hit the sack early this evening. Sheree, kinda glad that you, me and Tam didn't meet up last night. I woulda been cutting it a bit fine!
Ness, wow, not long to go at all, hope they are pg symptoms. :-) Keen, oh my god, 37 eggs, thats great.
So Keen, Sushee & Ali, thats great that your cycle buds.
Wow Sushee, how short notice.
Glad to see your back into it Cazz, hope the time flies.
Welcome Jamee, hope your stay is short & sweet in here. :-)
AIH went well on Fri 10am. The nurse said ovul takes place 40hrs after trigger, which would be Fri 1pm. I felt ovul pains in RHS from 9am for few hrs, then on LHS from 4pm. I confirmed with her what the other nurse said about follies only having chance to grow an extra 1mm due to trigger, but this nurse said they still grow a little bit, well if 1mm is a little bit, then we have 3 eggs on board, yikes. So now I'm in the TWW, she said I shouldn't really test any earlier than 13DPO (pregnyl in system), bugger, have never held out that long before. Have CD21 & CD28 BT's to go.
So much activity in here ... I've been scrolling back and forth, making notes and I even got logged out once or twice but now that I'm finally posting, I'm sure I will still forget somebody so please forgive me.
Sushee - Wonderful news about the plans for next week and I hope OPU tomorrow goes very well for you and best of luck with getting that blast transfer you're wanting. Let's hope it's all smooth sailing from here.
Janey - welcome to BB and I hope you enjoy your time with us. You've come to the right place for support and friendship ... the ladies here give it in spades.
Shell - I'm so glad your AIH went well. Let's hope this is the big one for you!
Blue - Not long now until your BT (or mine for that matter). It's been a very quick two weeks in a lot of ways but I think in my case that has been down to having something else to focus on. Have you taken up knitting yet? =)
Cazz - Thinking of you as you start injections and wishing you the smoothest of cycles ever.
Ali - Good luck with your trigger and OPU. It's all happening for you.
Bee - best of luck for you too with this upcoming cycle. I still remember what your doctor said and I never give up hope!
Humphrey - I'm hoping you get another one of those last minute miracle babies that this thread seems so good at producing! Everything crossed for you.
Anney - I'll bet you're plum tuckered out after Jasmine's birthday bash. Hopefully she is too and not high as a kite from all the excitement! Hope it was a wonderful day.
Keen - Hope you're getting plenty of rest with those follies. Not long to go now.
Trish - Thinking of you as always and sending lots of sticky buns ... I mean vibes! (although with my hormones, I probably really mean "buns"!)
On the home front, Pusster is back with us today and looking wonderful although still not eating or drinking much. When we went to collect him this afternoon, the nurses had groomed him, tied a "Bravery Bandanna" around his neck and written "Ouch" on his bandaged leg. He looked beautiful. Honestly, the warm and caring vibes we get from his vet surgery should be bottled. They are marvellous people.
I have also been in touch with a very caring mobile vet who specialises in palliative and geriatric care for animals as well as home euthanasia. She provides support throughout the whole process so I am feeling much less anxious about what is to come. It is still sad but I am looking at it now as the opportunity to say goodbye to someone I love in the best possible way. We should all be so lucky.
Thanks everyone for your support to me during this time. It is the love and compassion of many good people that will carry me through this and I will always be grateful for it.
Thinking of you all and hoping you are having a good weekend.
Keen - WOW! You must have the best response to the stim drugs ever!
Mel & Blue - I cannot believe that you are nearly at the end of the 2ww. Fingers are crossed for you both.
Can't remember who is/has done triggers, so best of luck to you all with the OPU and many eggies to you all!
Mel - I'm glad that Pusster is back home where he belongs. If need be, in the future, down the track, 10 years from now...... i know of a couple of very good websites that deal with pet loss and grief that don't make you feel like you are losing your mind.
We are all ok, except for this ruddy cold, it's being a pest!
Well my temps dropped today , so expect the witch to arrive tomorrow. I'm not really fussed though as I'm so distracted trying to keep up with all the activity here.
I'm so excited for everyone..... lots of BT's coming this week and I'm rubbing my fertility stone frantically.
Good luck for tomorrow Sush - hope there's lots of mini Sushees awaiting collection.
Mel glad your old buddy is back to hog the heater and keep your lap warm
Cazz - you'll breeze through OPU matey, it's so exciting to finally be there
Ali - lots of follies for you too - good luck for Monday
I'm sorry to lurk, but I just want to wish you lots and lots of luck for the coming week. I did my IVF treatment through Reproductive Services at the Womens with sucess. I've had my luck now I'm passing it on to all you wonderful women..
Fingers crossed
