Quick question - when on FSH, can anyone actually feel any movement in their ovary area?

I swear there is a "tightness" happening. Or is that just me imagining it?

    Thanks so much!

    Growing follicles

Sue, definitely. You should feel the normal ovulation sensations only amplified. Sounds like situation normal!!

Hehe, thanks so much for that OP.

I was hoping someone would say that. I thought it might have just been a bit of wishful thinking!

Fingers crossed for friday and my U/S which will show how effective this has all been.

    Follicles

Sue - imagine what it's like with IVF where they're trying to develop MANY follicles. You get ALL the sensations, plus a biiiiigg belly.

For you, I'd say you're looking for 1-3 follies to develop. At full maturity they will be 2cm each, so don't be surprised if your pants are a bit tight on ovulation day.

    Good luck!
    :-)

OP, that is exactly what we are aiming for.
My Dr wants 2 but he would be ok with 3. I'm doing visualisations every night for 3. hehe.
If I get more follies than we are aiming for, he said something about turning it into an IVF cycle so either way, we win.

I'm so excited for my u/s on friday!

Hi All. Just checking in. 9 days post IUI....blood test next Monday! 6 sleeps to go! Different symptoms to last cycle. Last cycle was a lot of AF pain and some nausea. This cycle is hunger and VERY VERY VAGUE!!!! Gotta love Pregnyl!! When you have had an IUI, how long after the procedure will (you are going to laugh at this because i can't remember the term!!! I'm really thick at the moment) the egg and 'little soldier' meet?? If they meet at all?? Is it the same 7 - 10 days with a normal cycle?

    Thumbs up Good news

They should meet within 24 hours of ovulation (the life of the eggie). Then they implant within 7-10 days.

On the implantation and meeting note... I am finally back (BB wasn't letting me log in the couple of times I tried) and I have news! Although not an IUI cycle, I can firmly say I LOVE MY NATUROPATH!!! I got my last Wednesday and am officially 5 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow! Just gotta cross everything because now I'm becoming paranoid about miscarrying.

Anyway, had to share my good news - for anyone out there who hasn't tried naturopathy and whose main difficulty is ovulation - give it a go - and certainly you (if you're not already) should all chart your cycles - what a wealth of information!

Anyway, that's my excitement. Sending and to everyone.

Oh, FYI, no major symptoms of pregnancy except cramping. Am starting to feel some mild nausea.

Thanks guys - it's pretty good news, all very quiet so far - I've given up playing baseball after the weekend. Not too worried about getting hit (all the guidelines say you can play through the first trimester) but it was so hot I'm worried about overheating.

We'll be telling the fam in a few weeks.

And, yes I should change the username to GonnabeMum!

Thanks for all the support on here, it's kept me sane at times. And thankyou for all your happy wishes - there's a lot of excitement in my house at the moment

    Hooray!

WBM - congratulations!!! That's wonderful news! I too am a big supporter of the naturopathy - I honestly believe it was the key for me too.

On the worry thing - you can't help it but try not to let it wind you up too much. Keep an eye on your Prog levels, and if they're low, talk to your naturopath about Vitex. It was prescribed to get me to 12w successfully. I think (from memory) you already take Vitex???

So pleased for you - see, this IUI thing DOES work!

    :-)
