hi andie-sounds like a good plan!!i spoke to my fs about assisted hatching,he didn't seem to think it would make much difference for me ,he said they could do it though, same as they do with pgd, also said there would be a risk of damaging the embryo. So i'm not sure whether to push for it or not. What i have read about it though seems that it might help me,they do it as part of the colorado protocol. My fs just wants to do same protocol, but that is frustrating when that protocol isn't working. He seems to be very scientific ,not encouraging at all to try to mix alternative therapy into cycle,or try anything different really

what protocol are you doing? i reckon its good to try out different things, who knows - might work. might not, but at least you feel like you arent banging your head against a brick wall trying the same protocol month after month. to be fair to our FS's, i guess with the newish/different protocols (bondi/colorado) the research isnt there yet to back up the treatment - but it seems to work for some people for whatever reason, so why not give it a shot? especially if you have done repeated transfers. ive had 9 transfers so far, so i think assisted hatching might be worth a shot, maybe my eggs just have a tough shell?!

    Hey Lovlies,

Andie - I was the same I wanted something new each cycle cos it felt like doing the same thing was bound to bring the same result. What different alternative stuff do you add in? I'll be keen to do the Chinese herbs that you brew up again because I really believe that helped with my last pg (though my mum was very against them so I'll have to sneak it )

Joeve - Thanks for thinking of me so good to see you ticking along

Matthew'smum - How was the keneology?

AFM - Well I finally bit the bullet and posted on the egg donor site, felt very odd not knowing anyone.
Our dates have been shifted by 2 days as FS is away but the plan at hand is that GED will start the spray on 8/7, various bloods and scans then till EPU on the 1/8 and proposed ET on the 6/8. I am having some trouble being my usual zen self right now and keep thinking about all the bad out comes. I really need to record my new meditation and get my head calmed down cos sometimes it feel like it'll explode (and there's not a smiley for that!).

hey sunbeam - very brave of you, posting on a new site - took me around 2 years of lurking on bb to finally take the plunge! hopefully you find some lovely ladies in there to share the ins & outs of your GED journey. if not - we are always here.
for alternative stuff i am currently seeing a naturopath and on herbal tonic (liquid form, been taking it for 2 months) and doing acupuncture (just started regular sessions last week). also taking multi, fish oil, b vitamin & probiotic. i have done naturopath in the past (pre-ivf), always works wonder for me - regulates cycle, improves mood. i saw a TCM person for a couple of months pre-ivf, didnt click with that treatment - had to brew your own herbs too... gross, and stank the house out.
in terms of ivf i have tried long down reg, antagonist (works better for me), natural FET, medicated FET, FET's with clexane, bondi protocol (prednisolone, clexane, progynova, progesterone). planning on nk cell biopsy/pipelle biopsy next cycle, and perhaps trying assisted hatching too. eeeek. its a lot when you write it down...

Andie - Wow that is a lot. Isn't it funny how we are all so different, naturopaths have always made me feel worse and yes the chinese herbs stink the house out but I could almost feel them working.

Joeve - Hehe yes that is just what my head feels like (@#$*&^?>*&^%)

    Hi Lovelies,

Quiet in here I hope everyone is going along well.

I went to see my GED tonight. She starts on the nasal spray on sunday. I really hope it all goes smoothly as she has to schedule everything around her work and her boys its not easy for her.

Been working hard on the healthy lifestyle. 5.4kg down 2.6kg to go.

great weight loss!! Well done babex
Don't stress too much about GED, the spray isn't too much of a hassle, just twice a day quick and easy, hopefully everything will flow and she won't find it too bad!

Andie and Mathew'smum- hope cycles are going according to plan xxx

sunbeam - great that things are getting started soon... im sure your GED will be fine, like saffy said - the nasal spray bit is quite easy. how does she feel about the needle part?! well done on the weight loss, im impressed. ive fallen off the healthy eating wagon recently, definately need to get back on it. i just love chocolate too much, its ridiculous.

thanks saffy - i have been stalking you and sounds like things are going really well for you. xx

    how's things, matthews mum?

afm - natural cycle this month, dont think ive ovulated yet, but on about cd 17. new plan atm is to do nk cell/pipelle biopsies next month then stim/transfer after that, so not much happening until august for me.

Hey Andie, she seemed a little freaked out about the needles but she knows its only for a few days so hopefully she'll go okay. AF came sort of! It started on thursday night with spotting and never really got much heavier but its still going so I counted today as CD1 and started my progynova.

Awesome on the kgs down! I think the needles are scary until you do one and realise that they don't hurt that much. Keep us updated!

6.5 kgs - superstar effort, sunbeam! so has GED done her first jab? i agree with joeve, the thought of injecting is much scarier than the actual injection. hope GED's first one goes ok. how are you feeling in general, recorded your new meditation yet?! hope you're doing ok, the donor egg journey must be a lot to process at times. sounds like you are doing all the right things though, exercise, eating well, taking time out to relax etc. xx

    hi everyone else.
