I honestly nearly fell over when they told me how much! That was 40mg x 2 packs of 10. It was from local pharmacy and it was urgent request as they forget to give me the prescription at ET. Will shop around next time definitely!
Saffy how are you lovely I have you in my prayers x

I'm ok, have had more problems with spotting and cramping, so taken the week off work to rest up, getting good nausea still though, awaiting scan next wednesday. Had a complete meltdown Monday but feeling a bit better now.

Just realised I have to get more progesterone pessaries too- thats $50 a pop! crikey its expensive this caper.

Great news from Sunbeam re GED- very excited for this xx

Andi- I thought Joeve was talking about the icecream protocol earlier too

    hi matthews mum
its a been quiet in here lately, with some lucky ladies hitting the jackpot recently - lets hope it rubs off on us! i have just finished a FET (didnt work), and gearing up to go straight in to another - just waiting to hear back from FS about tweaking protocol. lets hope you get a surprise this cycle and have to cancel yours... it's happened a couple of times in here lately, so you never know. best of luck.

sunbeam - how are you going, any news with the donor eggs? xx

    Hey Lovlies,

Hey Andie and Matthew'smum good to see you both back, yes lets follow all out buddies into the pg thread

I'm so glad our thread is chatting again. I just went into the site I had joined for people using donor eggs but it felt so foreign. This site feels so much like home after so many years so I'm afraid its on you girls to help me through this, I know you are up to it you have helped me through so much already.

So I am 7 weeks out from (totally fingers crossed everything goes to plan!) my first ET with donor eggs . There really isn't a smiley to convey how terrified I am! I'm freaking out! I don't know why it is so much scarier than doing IVF myself, but I am terrified that she won't stim well or we won't get many embies or any number of other disasters that go through my head. I guess it's just the pressure of knowing this is the last chance, its really stressing me to the max.

I am doing okay with the whole donor egg issue mostly, just occasional pangs of sadness about not being able to use my own eggs but that feels totally normal. I just want to be at scan day and see lots of follies and start to be able to breath just a little easier......Help me!!!

Uping the exercise tomorrow so that will hopefully reduce my stress levels a bit too. I'm going to record a new meditation and restart my yoga too. Any other suggestions?

I'm so excited for you, that has come around really quickly. I'm sure a 23yo will stim well, you might get a load of frosties too!!
    Best of luck hun xxxxx

Hi all....Andie-sorry the recent fet was unsuccessful, hope this next one is the one for you!!!!Sunbeam-i found osteopath sessions good, glad to read things are on track with your donor, when i was going through making the decision whether to go forward with egg donation ,i believed the baby wouldn't be born from my egg but it would be born from my heart, which was the more important thing. It is scary ,being on the last choice for yourself,i feel that way with my 2 frosties,i think that is why i'm taking longer to go back for fet this time because i"ve decided if these last two don't work i'm closing the chapter...

sunbeam - great to hear things are full steam ahead, which protocol are you going to do? i know you must be scared/anxious, but thats normal when you are trying something new, the fear of the unknown and all that. it must be like doing your first stim cycle, freaking out about every twist and turn, but do you remember when your first cycle was finished thinking 'that wasnt that bad actually'? anyway, we will all be here to listen & help out. sounds like you are doing all the right things to de-stress anyway with exercise, yoga & acupuncture. must be a little bit exciting too at this stage, to think that you may just get some lucky little embyos that might just stick?! im excited for you...

matthews mum - fingers crossed those 2 frosties stick like glue. xx

    Hi Girls,

It is so nice to be back in here chatting I have missed it.

Matthew'smum - I can understand you wanting to take it slow with your last 2 frosties. Do you think you will try with donor eggs or not? Its so hard to decide to say when enough is enough isn't it. I love that idea that the baby will not grow from my egg but from my heart

Andie - I'm not really sure of my protocol yet I haven't talked to FS. My GED is doing a long cycle. I just do pills to build up a nice thick lining so my part is easy. You are right it is like the first time you do a stim cycle not knowing how it is all going to go. I was talking to Minnie last night and said the difference is that with any cycle it is out of your control but with this cycle it is out of my control and out of my body! I do get a bit hopeful and excited sometimes but then I quickly bring myself back to reality! Will be nice to ask FS what he thinks my real chances are now.

Just wanted to ask those who have done the nasal spray is it really bad. I don't know what to advise my GED whether to do the spray or the injections as I never did the spray but Mindhugs told me it is really painful. Any thoughts?

I didn't have a problem with nasal spray at all, not painful but ocassionally stings a bit, the worst bit is it drips a disgusting taste down the back of your throat or a minute or so afterwards.

hi ladies...andie -thanks,have you heard back from fs??sunbeam-i have used the spray for both my stims & found it to be ok,i think your chances are great,my donor was 27 at the time i spoke to my fs & he thought that was a nice young age for some good eggies.I decided egg donor wasn't the road for us to travel down, but always be grateful to the lovely lady who offered...afm-started a healthy eating plan today, going to make some appointments with acu & oesteo, haven't seen either for a while.Thinking about adding kineology to the mix this time???anyone know much about this????

sunbeam - didnt have a problem with the nasal spray either, i agree with saffy though - the drip down the back of the throat was gross. i didnt know there was an option to swap nasal spray for injections? there is always something to learn doing ivf...

matthews mum - yep, heard back from FS, will be doing a natural FET this month. got af yesterday, so transfer in couple of weeks i guess, all things going well. cant help you with kineology... sorry!

    Hi Girls

Matthew'smum - No idea on kineology sorry. Go the healthy eating! I'm loving warm stewed apples and berries with yoghurt, nuts and honey for breakfast. I'm doing well with my health kick and even went for my walk this morning despite falling down the stairs first!!! I did sit for half an hour and let the head ache pass first

Saffy - Whoo 11 weeks today!

Thanks for the info on the nasal spray it sounds like the better option for her if FS will approve it should be easier for her with 3 kiddies running around. Of course she'll have to jab to grow follies but that won't be for so many days. Can you take a drink of something right away to get rid of the taste from the spray?

hi ladies,sunbeam-someone suggested a sweet lolly straight after spray to me,but i didn't need to try it...hope you aren't to sore after your fall...breakfast is something i'm working on ,i have a tendancy to skip it...andie-glad to read your cycle is going ahead...afm-waiting to see if af arrives, need to take my cat to the vet ,i found a lump when we were having a cuddle

sunbeam - i was told not to drink afterwards, but all clinics seem to have a different protocol. the lolly idea sounds good.
matthews mum- hope your cat is ok & af stays away...!

afm - decided to skip this months FET now, think i need another month to get a bit healthier. ill do acu, herbs & try and exercise more, want to make sure i give the remaining embryos the best chance. i have 2 left on ice so i will grow out the day 2 to day 5, then thaw day 6 - then pop in the best looking one. have you girls ever done assisted hatching? havent tried it yet, might be worth a shot?
