Saffy that's awesome all wonderful embies this time go you and let's hope frosty stays frozen for a long while yet!!
hi ladies, hope you all had a great weekend. :)
saffy - congrats on your frozen blast, what a nice surprise! i hope the tww is kinder to you this time around. fingers crossed for you & joeve.
joeve - congrats on getting to transfer & i hope your tww flies by. i will be stalking both you and saffy for any signs, symptoms, sneaky poas etc.
tilygirl - im glad you sorted out a plan. i can only imagine how hard jumping back into ttc would be for you, but i guess we have to be in it to win in. you are braver than i am atm. best of luck.
sunbeam - best of luck for your lap tomorrow. (did i miss something - are they looking for something in particular, or just a routine lap to make sure everythings ok?)
afm - just plodding along, cd 11 today. been thinking i should get back to ivf soon... just coasting on herbs & supplements atm. think i have been living in denial a bit & putting ttc on the backburner. providing my cycle sorts itself out this cycle, i will book a FET for next month. eeeek....
i think i just saw a tumbleweed...
sunbeam - any news on the lap?!
andi- sorry you have been abandoned by us all, we are obsessively in our tww so pouring out our stress in that thread. I have heard from sunbeam and she is resting up at home after the lap, I'm sure she'll be in here soon for an update.
Otherwise, yes it is a bit slow around here, I'm just freaking out about my upcoming bt.
Do you try naturally on your off ivf months? If so, you must be near O time? How many frosties do you have?
thats ok, i have been checking the tww every now and then - sounds quite eventful in there atm! i have everything crossed for your BT... its so close... will you poas before BT?
yeah i do try naturally while not doing ivf, never been pregnant that way yet though. cd 14 atm, so hoping for an earlier ovulation this month (last month was cd 27). wont bother with opk's though, just cuddle every couple of days until i see my temp rise. (i have 4 frosties left, 1 x day 6 & 3 x day 2/3)
thanks for checking in & best of luck for your BT. ;)
Hi Andie I am here wouldnt it be awesome if you got your natural bfp this month? You could kick the tumbleweeds to the curb babe and get out of here!!!
a natural bfp?! thats like the holy grail... think i'd faint from the shock if that ever happened. (you're right though, would be awesome. ;)). hope your tww calms down a bit for you, sounds like it hasnt been as easy going as you would've liked. hope you get a great result at BT time. :)
You never know :)
I am having a shocker I feel like hiding because everyone must think I am a crazy drama queen! My body just has not co operated the whole way along! I have no hope I am spotting again today and I just want to get this cycle over.
not a drama queen, just experiencing all the joys that ttc offers... it turns you in to a crazy person. is your luteal phase normally a bit short, or is this a bit early for you to be spotting? i usually get af a couple of days earlier than normal on a stim cycle, but i hope in your case its just one of those annoying things that happen before you get a bfp. if it all gets a bit much, dont forget that handy rock that you have to crawl under... there's probably still some choccy bisuits left in there from last time...
True! Choc biscuits yum!
No my cycle is usually pretty good clomid messed me up! I don't usually get any spotting it started 3 days after transfer great hey? Anyway what can you do.
maybe its just your uterus protesting about the lack of privacy from transfer. you're right - cant do much about it, but i will cross my fingers for you. goodluck. xx
Hi girls
Just a quick one as I'm on my phone so much for being able to post heaps my lap top is off getting fixed but I should have it back today.
The lapy smoothly and I've had far less pain and recovered far quicker than I'd expected nice bruise around my belly button developing. Fs did find a
some endo and a few adhesions but he cleaned it all up. I'm still trying to arrange to catch up with the 22year old about possible egg donating.
Waiting desperately to hear good news from Joeve and Saffy.
Hey sunbeam nice to see you back babe xx
At day 19, I am officially heading into the dreaded 2WW!
Oh good luck Tilygirl, FX for you xx
for those not stalking me in tww thread- I got a bfp yesterday
just did a digital poas test which said pregnant 2-3, pretty sure it should say 1-2, so cr@pping myself about twins, and also scared about getting through the next few wks til scan, without going insane.
The worst thing is I think we will have to put our cat down in the next few weeks ,he is quite sick and we are going away in June, and I can't put him in a cattery, he isn't well enough and its mean to him, so I have some stressful few weeks coming up I think.
Saffy woo hoo :) love it!! If it's twins then it was meant to be :)
TG good luck will be stalking you!
omg, saffy - congrats! :confetti: and with such reassuring numbers too, how exciting for you! holding my breath for your scan to see if you have twins in there... ;) (also, sorry to hear about your cat, i have an ageing fur-child that i love so can fully appreciate how hard the next few weeks might be for you. xx)
joeve - sorry about the sucky end to your cycle. its simply not fair.
tilygirl - goodluck in the tww, we seem to be having good stats in this thread atm, so maybe you're next?! fingers crossed.
sunbeam - glad the lap went well. :)
afm - had serious ovary pain last night, ewcm over weekend (sorry if tmi, but i figured no such thing as tmi in here?) - so looks like ovulation is happening earlier this month, which is a relief. have a great week everyone. :)
Hello Lovelies,
I'm back with my lovely laptop working brilliantly (thank you Mr.Computer man).
Andie - Whoo early O that's always a great relief. No such thing as TMI in here you are right.
Tilygirl - On time O for you too:dance:.
Good lick in the TWW girls :pink-babydust:
Saffy - I am so ready to be UTD too I can't wait to join you in stressvile! Sending you truckloads of twinny :stickyvibesgirl: I can't even start to think about how hard its going to be with your gorgeous cat cos I'll just start to cry :comfort:
Joeve - I'm so sorry your cycle went so badly . I don't get why they stopped the prog at any point. Do you feel they are doing the best by you? Have you been with this FS long?
Minnie :hello:
AFM - First day back at work today and it was okay just a little sore still and quite tired. I'm due to O on wed and I don't think that is helping the pain. I'm off to see the 22 year old prospective egg donor tomorrow so I'll let you know how I go. :crossfingers:
Good to see you back sunbeam, best of luck with the spring chicken, I hope she agrees! I need some joining me in stressville, am already going mad- didn't get up in the middle of the night last night to wee, like I have done for the last week, so have taken that to mean all my symptoms have gone, which they haven't of course, its going to be a loooong few wks til my scan. Anyway glad you are onthe road to recovery.
Andie-thanks hun, great news about oing on time x
Joeve- have you spoken to your clinic or FS yet? Do they have any idea what happened?
Sunbeam nice that you are up and about! Good luck tomorrow with the potential egg donor!
Saffy totally understandable, maybe you just didnt need to pee :) we are right here holding your hand try and enjoy!
Andie yay!
I have to make an appointment with FS for next Monday wasn't sure if DH was ready or not - he is really disappointed of course.
Spoke to nurse to let her know I won't be having my BT on Wednesday obviously, I still said I dont understand why I was taken off crinone and she was adamant that the 1 pregnyl shot I had should have been enough. She really wants me to talk to my FS as she thinks that we can address the hormone drop that started the rollercoaster or things going wrong. I have been wiith my FS for over 12 months so he knows my history I don't know.... will see what he says
Hi Girls
Saffy - Yes we are here for you and we understand the stress all too well. We are all praying this is your one (or two!)
Joeve - I love my FS as you know but I wouldn't be afraid to change if you feel yours is not doing the best by you. I know of a few women who changed and in some cases took their embies with them and got the result they wanted.
AFM - Well Spring Chicky seemed quite positive about the whole egg donor thing she said she had seen an ad about it in the past and even considered it then. Her 2 main concerns were coming off her BC and ending up UTD again (she is very fertile!) and that the hormones will send her crazy. I wrote out a sheet for her about all of what is involved so she can talk it over with her partner. If i haven't heard from her I will call tomorrow night so I can ask FS an questions she might have when I go on friday.
Sunbeam sounds promising!!!
Will wait to see what FS says on Monday.
I just saw in preg after lttc that Loops had her baby!
Sunbeam great outcome there, sounds very promising, esp if she has already thought about it.
hi ladies.
sunbeam - sounds like you have a great action plan lined up - wish i had 22 year old eggs! (i know, i know... i shouldnt complain about my 33 year old ones...). dont know about you, but the drugs didnt send me crazy. except maybe the double dose of progesterone i was on once... maybe a little bit psycho, angry-woman crazy  goodluck for your appt tomoz.
joeve - i hope your FS has a fabulous, guaranteed success plan lined up for you on monday. then you can log on and give it to all of us. ;)
saffy - hope you're ok, it must still be stressful for you at this stage but exciting as well. :)
hi tilygirl.
afm - not much to report, technically in tww but really just waiting for af to schedule in a FET next month. i read in another thread that my clinic are about to raise their costs again in june, so hopefully i can sneak in before then.
Wow 10 whole days with no posts! I have been keeping up with people in the other threads though.
I hope everyone is going well.
Tilygirl - Whoo :happyforyou: I hope you have a great sticky bub on board.
:crossfingers: for all those in the TWW, bring on the BFPs!
Special hugs to Saffy for the loss of her fur baby :comfort:
AFM - Things are ticking along with the whole donor egg thing and I just registered to go on a site for those TTC with donor eggs so I can get some more info. I am going with my Gorgeous Egg Donor (GED) to get her Marina removed on wednesday and then we both go on the pill to sync our cycles. We then have a counselling session along with Donor Daddy hopefully on the 7th June when they will also do all GED's bts etc. I have been a little sad this week as back before I even started IVF I had asked my very best friend to be my egg donor if I ever needed one and she had gladly agreed. Unfortunately she is now 35, smokes and has no children so my odds with GED are about 25% greater. It just would have been so nice to have a baby with my best friend  When I spoke to her she totally understood that after all this time and all I've been through I have to go with the best odds.
Sunbeam I am sure she totally understands where you are at and why you have had to make that decision.
We are very quiet in here!!
hey sunbeam - it is quiet in here... as you know, a few ladies have upgraded to the big time! sounds like things are full steam ahead for you & your GED. sorry it didnt work out with your BF being egg donor, but im sure she will be supporting you in every other way during the next few months. it will probably be quite handy having someone close to you who is not on hormones... ;)
hi joeve, hope you're well!
af arrived yesterday, so spent last night with a bucket of icecream & bottle of ice magic (layering, eating, layering, eating etc.). had a great FS appt today though, she has suggested a biopsy for nk cells, & so she can have a look around in there at the same time. she has also agreed to let me try the bondi/colorado protocol for upcoming FET, so im really happy to be trying something different in the hope that it will work.
Andie ice cream YUMMMMMM what is that protocol?
the best protocol! ;)
Secret squirrell protocol?????
joeve - are you asking about bondi/colorado protocol? (i thought we were talking icecream protocol... sorry!!). there are a few variations going around, but i will be on prednilslone, clexane, progynova & progesterone. prednilslone is used to suppress natural immune response (theory being that body is attacking/rejecting embryo prior to/or upon attempting implantation), clexane to thin blood & help the implantation process. if you hit google, there are a few threads around with women who are trying this, some have had success, some havent. after repeated implantation failure & BFN's, its worth a shot. :)
I know all there is about ice cream protocol!!!
Thanks for sharing sounds like a lot but all good :) the clexane stings !!
I need to call the clinic nurses and tell them we are going again but I can't get my butt into gear to call.., no idea why.. It's not hard right?
agreed - clexane feels like lemon juice on an open cut. i've had clexane for 2 previous FET's & its the stingy-iest injection ive had. im sure stingy-iest is a word...
i dont blame you for putting off calling your clinic. it's hard to start up again - being on-call for the BT's, scan's, appt's and dealing with all the little drama's along the way - its exhausting. a lot easier to try naturally & hope for a miracle. maybe you just need some time off before going back? xx
Maybe but time is not on my side maybe I should call now...
Do you pay for your clexane?
end up calling?!
yep, i pay for clexane. think i paid about $35 for 20, 40mg (2 x boxes of 10). not too bad.
Nope...
Really? I paid $117 omg!
geez. thats quite a difference. im with melb ivf and use their in-house pharmacy, not sure what difference that should make though. :dunno:
I pay $36 for 10 pack of 80mg, thats a big difference x
I honestly nearly fell over when they told me how much! That was 40mg x 2 packs of 10. It was from local pharmacy and it was urgent request as they forget to give me the prescription at ET. Will shop around next time definitely!
Saffy how are you lovely I have you in my prayers x
I'm ok, have had more problems with spotting and cramping, so taken the week off work to rest up, getting good nausea still though, awaiting scan next wednesday. Had a complete meltdown Monday but feeling a bit better now.
Just realised I have to get more progesterone pessaries too- thats $50 a pop! crikey its expensive this caper.
Great news from Sunbeam re GED- very excited for this xx
Andi- I thought Joeve was talking about the icecream protocol earlier too :)
