I did :lol: but its not fat so I was let down lol. Its probably about the same as mine hun and you have dozens more follies heehee.
After my weight loss I was so excited to have a flat tummy for once and it lasted all of a few weeks before the bloat set in again, spewing. Good news about missing the lunch too ;)-

Andie - Any AF signs? I can feel mine approaching but not expecting anything till at least the weekend.

AFM - Well sorry to report that the date was pretty much disasterous, we pretty much got into a fight (verbal not a punch up :lol:) so I don't think we will be catching up again and it has made me wonder why I bothered getting back into the dating scene, its exausting. I'm not giving up yet, I'll give it a few months but lets hope I have better luck than last night.

Sunbeam oh no!!! For a second I thought you were talking about DD catch up. Keep going with the dating you will find the right one :)

Andie- how are you coping with the tonic and oil??

Sunbeam- yes, you are right. It was nice to talk about Lucy. I think about her everyday but very rarely get to talk about her. On the other hand, I am yet to have a discussion about Lucy with someone I don't know. I still don't know what I would say... I went to a photography course on the weekend and three of the women were pregnant and those who weren't had kids plus one was a midwife and they spent much of the day talking about babies, labour, cervixes.... it was torcherous. A) just listenening to their happy natterings about childbirth and B) because I was terrified someone would ask me if I had children. I guess each situation is so different, I will just deal with each one as it comes.

AFM- CD26 and I have already started the POAS game although I have very little confidence in this cycle due to camping, unknown O time and limited DTD. BFN this morning using a fertility2family test. Does anyone use these tests? They are 10iu/ml or something but I am not sure if they are as good as the FRER. But thought I may as well give them a go just to cure my POAS addiction, will save my FR's for CD30ish if I can hold out that long...

Sunbeam- I can't believe that! Don't let it put you off, I met DH through internet dating, just a numbers game, and its nice to go on dates and meet people ( well usually, not if you are having a barney, save that for when you are a couple ;) ).

Tilygirl- thats such a shame, I'm sorry that happened to you, you would have thought you would be safe at a photography course. Goodluck with poas, I don't know that, joeve might lol she is an addict.

Joeve- hopefully tomorrow is the last one ( dildo cam) and you can move onto administering crinone or progesterone pessaries to yourself in the vjay-jay :lol: (just pray you are on the pessaries not the crinone)

No follie check for me as I am going ahead with it no matter what, I can't do another cycle after this cos i'm going away in June for my birthday and I had kind of decided I don't want to do any more cycles, so this is it!! I've done 2 medicated fets and 2 stims in a row ( with being on the pill between cycles) and my brain and body are just over it. Been on night shift and just woke up, days off now- woohoo!!

sunbeam - how disappointing for you.. i as looking fwd to hearing about your date, but sounds like you can release that one back in to the pond. better luck next time. to answer your question, yeah - think af should be coming soon, im on cd 38, so hopefully by the weekend it will be here. we might end up being in sync. ;)

saffy - the naturopath stuff is going down ok, except for the fish oil. it coats your lips after your swallow it. gross. i really hope your epu gives your some great embryos, it can be hard to keep the motivation up after repeated stims, but i am hoping for a better than expected result for you. xx

tilygirl - sorry your course was a bit rough with all the baby/preg. talk. im not sure whats worse, the baby talk or that fear of waiting for them to turn to you and grill you about having children. :hug: you really are a poas addict, testing at cd 26 - im impressed with your dedication! i havent used the fertility2family ones, but best of luck.

joeve - doesnt matter how many of those dildo cams i have, just cant seem to not clench... doesnt help at all of course. :o

afm - not much to report, got a bit of a headcold atm, so just hanging on the couch today. ive only managed my tonic & b vitamins today... no fish oil. im telling myself its bc im a bit sick, but really im just using it as an excuse bc its gross. :redface:

Boo is right! AF is here in full force today, sorry TMI.
So I guess no clomid = shorter cycles?
Now I have to decide whether or not to take clomid this month? What does everyone think? With or without?
I also need to keep in mind I now only have 3 more cycles before the FS wants us to come back (because of low ovulatory reserve) to move on to the next step, whatever that may be.
Should I just be throwing everything at the next 3 cycles? I think last month I just needed a break from the temping, the tablets, the needles and the testing, I lost my mojo...
I also have in the back of my mind sabotaging this month because "if" I did get pregnant, it will have been 12 months since we conceived Lucy and I would be due when Lucy was due. Am I way over thinking things???

So hard to know what to do. Clomid didn't do the right thing with me, if you feel that you aren't ready to progress to the next level of intervention they try another month of clomid. The mind is powerful so you need to be in the right head space regardless of what you choose.

sorry about af, tilygirl. cant help you with the clomid thing, havent been on that before. i guess if it gives you a longer cycle, then maybe thats a good thing? xx

Hi girls, it's quiet in here. I'm sorry I haven't made much contact lately, just been a bit down. I'm not quite ready to discuss details about DH health yet, I am not sure if I ever will. I would love to share my story, but I don't think I am ready. Being here on BB sometimes makes the pain of not being able to conceive a lot harder :(
I just wanted to say hi because I didn't want you lovely ladies to think I just abandoned the thread :lol: I hope that next time I post I will have some good news, ANY kind of good news.

3 eggs for me!! Happy with this as was expecting the worst, so now tensely waiting for tomorrow fertilisation phone call. Hopefully will get 2 to transfer ( pretty please whoevers in charge of ttcland).

Tilygirl- If it was me I would try the next 3 months as I can't handle not trying. Clomid made me crazy so I'm prejudiced against it, but if it doesn't give you bad side effects go for it

At this stage I will be 3 days behind you :) quietly freaking out about EPU but I will be ok I have to do it it's another hurdle :)

EPU is fine, the drugs they give you to fall asleep are awesome ( for the 5 seconds you get to enjoy them before nodding off), its waking up to hear the results that is hard, although if you get a good number, you feel sooo happy! Goodluck for Monday, my transfer might be then I think.

They don't knock me out eeekkk! You get something to sedate you but not GA... Is that what you had?

Tilygirl - I'm with the others, Clomid sucks it did nothing for me at all. As for having to be in the right head space I don't think that matters either, I have been positive, negative and indifferent and learnt that the TTC gods basically don't care they'll do what they want anyway. That said a break is always good and has often helped me to come back a bit refreshed ready to fight on. We all over think this stuff because we are just so committed to it, it is kind of hard not to. :hug:

Andie- I knew our AFs were off hanging out together ;) I hope the yucky herbs and fish oil do the trick for you really soon.

Tasha - Good to see your name sweetie. I'm so sorry this journey has thrown you yet another curve ball but we are here for you any time :comfort:

AFM- Well big news here sort of. I saw FS last wednesday and he has booked me for my Lap for 1st May. I was worried I'd have to shift it as AF was not showing up but she arrived in the night so its all systems go and my mum is coming down to look after me. Thats not the big bit. I asked FS what my honest chances are of a take home baby at my age and he said 10%, that is all, 10%, I was gutted! That means of 100 women aged 40-44 doing IVF only 10 get a baby, 90 get nothing! After a while of being completely flattened by the news I decided those were not good enough odds for me so I have decided to use an egg donor. I have 3 possible donors and I hit the first one up yesterday. She is 28, is a good friend and has a daughter. She said she will think about it but also needs to talk to her doc as she has very bad ebndo and PCOS and needs to know if the drugs will make any of that worse. I also need to check with my FS if that will affect her egg quality or EPU in any way. If she says no then I will ask the partner of the young donor I used a while back. She is only 22 and has 2 children. It will be trickier as she lives over an hour from my clinic but there is a sister clininc half hour from her I'm sure we can coordinate with. If not her then my bestie has already agreed to donate but she lives 2 hours away and there is no QLD fertility clinic near her so not sure what happens there. She is also 35 (only just) smokes and drinks. She also smokes pot which suprisingly according to all my google research has no impact on female fertility at all! Maybe we should all get stoned regularly I'm sure we'd all be a lot more relaxed about all this :lol: . So there's my news. I'd love to hear any success stories of donor egg babies if anyone knows any. According to the pregnancy predictor online my chance with either of the first 2 girls eggs shifts me to near 50% chance and with my besties to 25%, far more encouraging :D. I'll keep you posted.

Good news sunbeam- glad the 28yo is thinking about it. Lots of potentials. Iinteresting about the pot, I never really used to do that but I drank alot in my twenties and wonder if that has affected my eggs. 50% and 25% sound better than 10%! Good news about af too.
I got 3 out of 3 eggs fertilised :dance: dh is feeling proud of his swimmers, so now for transfer today, I always feel so nervous waiting for hte embryologist ot come in and deliver the verdict on the embies, I'm not expecting them all to get to this stage but hopefully 2 have so I can transfer them both, ekkk scary. Its at 1pm so send me your good vibes then.

Wow, it's so quiet in here! I think most of us have headed to the LT TWW thread. Well I am almost there, currently CD10, should O in the next 4 or so days and then I will see you all in the TWW. I ended up deciding to give the Clomid another go this month. And I am committed to a DTD schedule (how romantic). As for being in the right head space, who knows. I may never truly be in the right space again, I am changed forever. I don't want to miss my chance of conceiving hoping my head will catch up. Like Sunbeam said, I have been completely confident, positive and in a good head space for other pregnancies and it didn't make a difference to the outcome.
So I am sucking it up and plowing ahead for know!

Sunbeam yay for lap things are happening for you! We had 4 fertilize and all were doing well at day 3, I am prepared for a different result tomorrow and hope we have at least 1 for transfer :)

Sunbeam- good luck for tomorrow!! Hope it goes really well, don't be nervous. I completely forgot to ring and check how our last embryo went, so I will wait for the letter, not expecting great things and really over this whole process. Let us know how you go with lap and hope you get ot rest up. xx

speaking of- just looked in the letterbox and the letter was there saying it had been frozen so must have made it to day 5!
