Hi girls,
I'm still here too ( unfiortuantely) we need a mass breakout!
Crafty- I feel like i will never move on but just have to keep trying I guess and I hope we all get lucky . Sorry AF arrived xx
matthewsmum-I hope DH can cope with a few sniffles for a greater good! Good luck for catching an eggy or two xx
India'smum-did you enjoy your champers? My cycles are not regular anymore either, who knows whats going on! Af is a pain, hopefully she has gone xx
Damprye- congratulations sweetheart, are you still celebrating!?
Hi to toomanyshoes, luna, possummagic - hope you all had a good chrismas
afm- CD8, last chance before FET, DH is on holidays which is condusive to more BDing than usual
hi saffy, i'm trying an fet after this cycle as well, haven't paid for it yet though, trying to stay away from the after christmas sales..still giving the natural way a go though for this 'o'.Got to be in with a least a chance.
I haven't paid either matthewsmum, I'm not even sure how much it costs but I have some money stashed away ( medicare rebate etc) hidden from DH so we should be right, imagine if we didn't need it!!
My FET will probably be the first week of Feb I estimate, yours will probably be earlier if you are Oing now, good luck!
Mathewsmum: thanks for the good wishes. I hope you get a natural surprise before your next FET.
Kitfaerie: thank you! So cool to see how far your ticker has moved since you were in this thread. Tiger must be warming up to make his grand entrance!
Saffy: Hope you are having a good holiday and that you also don't need your next FET. (I'm wishing for a Natural surprise for you this month too).
Crafty and India's mum: Sorry wicked AF arrived : (
To everyone: Wishing you a happy new year and the fulfilment of your dreams in 2011...
Hi ladies
well day 6 for me and AF gone off to some other poor lady who don't really want her either lol !
Hi matthews mum glad your still trying the old natural way after all we both managed it before so why not now hey thats what I say ! anyhow hopefully we can break out of here next year !
Have decided to do temperature chart this cycle have never done it before but did get a funky pink ovulation thermometer so just have to figure out now how it works, I am guessing take temp early morning before getting up for the loo etc and plotting on the chart and when you see a rise should indicate ovulation is that right ? any advice greatly accepted
saffy hope you get to keep your stash that would be so cool to get a natural bfp and keep the money ! FX for you !
indias mum come on girl we can do this we done it before but just seems so much harder these days !
any preg stalkers hope your doing ok and looking forward to your big delivery day ! next year ! not long now for some of you
everyone else enjoy your hols and will check in later in the week to wish happy new yrs
Hi Ladies
Hope you all had a great Christmas.
Congratulations to Possum Magic and Damprye on your BFP! Great Chrismas present. Hope you both have a happy healthy 9 months ahead.
Matthews mum, Saffy, Crafty, Sunbeam and all I have missed GBH to you all. Hoping 2011 brings much BFP news from you all!
hi girls,
hello to those that know me from the ttc thread, i decided it was best for me to move over here and start the new year.
for those who don't know me i had my first m/c over 12 months ago and have had 2 more since then, im currently on day 23 of a clomid cycle, im not sure if i have even ovulated yet but we are keeping up the 2nd daily dtd to hope we are covered.
here's hoping we see a lot of bfp's in here with the start of the new year, baby dust to all
well ,it's officially a new year, hope it brings us all some beautiful new beginnings, comfort for our wounds & renewed hope for the future...
WEll said matthews mum I pray we all get a BFP soon and get out of this thread lol !
Hi girls, happy new year to everyone and heres to 2011 giving us all our longed for and deserved babies!
crafty-hows the temping/charting going? I was never very good at it- too slack to do it properly! Hope it gives you a picture of whats going on.x
minniemouse-:hello: welcome even though you are probably wishing you didn't have to come here- we are a bit quiet at them moment cos of christmas but it will fire up again soon. How long is your cycle normally? FX for a bfp for you x
hi matthewsmum-babydust to you for 2011- good luck for this month, hope you get a lucky break x
Hi to Sunbeam, Porsche, possummagic, damprye, india'smum and alice (if you are stalking from afar)- best wishes for 2011 girls, thanks for your help last year through my ups and downs :grouphug:
AFM- well I got a pos OPK yesterday so am happy as I feel we have done our best with the BDing this month- its in the hands of fate now! I am enjoying being a normal person for a while actually- not obsessing over ttc- having a drink-etc.
gosh it is so quiet in here !
saffy: i thought it was time i moved across here, i didn't ovulate til new years day which was day 24 for me ! i hate having to wait so long into my cycle to ovulate gggrrr anyway sounds like we are both close in our cycles, fingers crossed for both of us !
craftymummy: i think i read you were doing clomid cycles, are you still doing that ?
i hope things start to get busier in here although i know it would be best if there didn't have to be people in here at all
Hi Girls,
I am still lurking and reading, but not posting much as not much is happening. I had my first appt after the ectopic, the egg was growing on the side of the ectopic, so the doctor told me not to TTC this cycle for fear of another ectopic and schedule an HSG for next month. This is where they push the liquid up your tubes to make sure they are passable. So I am just waiting for the @ so I can schedule this. It is hard not to TTC... Especially that I usually get very clear ovulation symptoms.
minniemouse - are you taking clomid now?
I wish you all a happy and very fruitfull 2011.
hi Luna,
sorry to hear you went through an ectopic, i know what you mean about it being hard not to ttc, i waited about 5 months after my last miscarriage. i hope you can get on with the hsg soon and start again with cleaned out tubes !
yeah im doing clomid, this is my 3rd cycle on it, the first ended on day 23 without ovulating, the 2nd was 33 but i only ovulated about day 22 so i started bleeding a few days before af was due, this time around im day 28 and 4dpo, im hanging in there hoping i get a normal luteal phase !
i know this isn't the assisted conception thread but does anyone know what is the next step after clomid if that doesn't work ? it has worked for me twice before and i said i wouldn't go down the ivf road.......is the next things injections and still dtd ? or do you move onto iui etc ? thanks
hi all, saffy-hope you caught the egg!...luna-good luck with the hsg...minniemouse-still got fingers crossed for you, after my clomid cycles didn't result in a bfp, that was when i had the hsg test luna mentioned...afm-tww again
Hi minniemouse- my FS gave us a few options when I tried clomid, either have a laparoscopy ( checking if the tubes are clear like luna described and looking for endometriosis etc) or go staright to IVF. After the laparoscopy apparently you have a better chance of getting UTD naturally cos your tubes have been given a springclean. But if that doesn't work in a few months you go on to ivf anyway. I think because of my age he didn't bother with anything else. I didn't havethe laparoscopy cos I fugured I had gotton pregnant twice already so there was no prob with my tubes and i didn't want to wait any longer to start ivf. ( Meanwhile fast forward 6 months and I'm still not pregnant but thats another story!!)
Hopefully you don't need to bother with any of this and the clomid does the trick. GL
Matthewsmum- FX for tww, i'm in it too, have NO confidence at all that I can get pregnant naturally anymore so just killing time until the FET.
Hi Lovlie ladies,
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I did see we got a couple of BFPs
I have not been around much, although I wanted to keep up with all the news but I was finding it too upsetting given that I am not even trying again for 4 months (feels like forever!)
I thought I would just pop in to say hi and let you know I am still alive and kicking. I am seeing the nutritionist and although I failed to eat red meat (ended in floods of tears!) I am managing chicken so I'm on iron tablets too and this is going fine. I have also built a veggie box so I can grow my own veggies (rather than forking out all my cash for organic). I have my MRI on friday and 2 friends to get me home after my handful of valium :p and they have squeezed me in to the neuro surgeon on the 19th. Of course with all that sorted my back has actually been really good for the last week.
Sending you all huge cyberhugs and tonnes and tonnes of :bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust:
sunbeam: i have had many mri's before, do you know if you are able to take your own cd along to listen to while you have it done ? i have been in ones where you could do that, although i actually prefer not to have the headphones on because i like to be able to hear whats going on around me. it is also quite noisy in the machine, like a kind of hammering noise clunk clunk (sorry if you know all this), i hope it goes ok for you
matthewsmum: how many dpo are you ? so a few of us are in the 2ww, here's hoping for good news coming up for us
Hi all
welcome minniemouse a few of us moved over here last year so nice to see your name here ( sorry you have to be here though ) iykwim
Sunbeam so glad your still around I missed you ! sorry you have to wait 4 mnths but you know what it will be worth it in the end good luck with your mri my son had one at 3yrs but they had to use general an for him as he was so young but it is very very noisy in there !
afm well my mum arrives on friday from the uk for a whole month so won't be on here much and I am due to ovulate around friday/sat so will be in the TWW next week FX to all already in the TWW and lets hope we all get what we want sooner rather than later !
been temping but not going very well as I forgot a few times ! but will keep trying anyway to see if I can see something happening on my chart !
crafty- glad I am not the only one who can't remember to temp every day! Enjoy your time with your mum, my DH's parents can't come out from the UK to visit as his mum is scared of flying and his dad isn't very well, its a shame really.
minniemouse- where are you up to in your tww? I'm still in the early stages.
Sunbeam- hi mate, sorry you have to wait so long, it must be frustrating, if it makes you feel any better I feel like I've got Buckley's chance of conceiving naturally these days,I hope 4 months goes quickly for you (its a shame we have to get older while waiting for these ivf procedures) xx GL with the MRI, I have never had one but it sounds pretty scary, hopefully it will give you some answers to your back problem. Let me know how your veges go, I am going ot start soon as well, just got mostly herbs at the moment.
AFM- only 3-4 days PO so nothing to report, going to the beach for 4 days over the weekend for some relaxation- can't wait!
Hi to everyone else:hello:
craftymummy: thanks for the welcome, have fun with your mum. are you doing a natural cycle this month ?
saffy: only 5 dpo here too so a long way to go !
Hi all,
Need to catch up with all posts but wanted to wish a quick GL to Sunbeam for the MRI: It's really not that scary it's just that we scare ourselves with the idea of it. I think i told you i had a couple of MRIs. I was worried about it but i got through. I didn't find the noise too bad. NOthing hurts. There's plenty of fresh air in there. It's open at both ends. You just need to keep reminding yourself that there's nothing to worry about with being in that space: where are you in a hurry to go?! (Well that's what i told myself and it helped me). Just think of it as though you are lying in a suntan bed! (It's not dissimilar in a way!)
Possum - I am so pleased to hear that everything is fine with you. I had been stalking and was a little concerned for you.
Sunbeam - Four months would seem like a very long time but it looks as though you will be in the peak of health by the time you start again and that can only be a good thing.
Crafty - I was going to temp this time too but I am so forgetful I put the themometer next to the bed but I still forget all about it every morning.
Minniemouse - I hope your time here is brief.
AFM - we are just about up to the week long sexfest we have every month. I don't think either of us look forward to it anymore.
Yep me too feels more like a chore than baby making ! oh how terrible is it that we get to feel like this when all we need is one egg and one sperm to meet, why does it have to be so hard !
Been temping when I remember which is every few days so my chart has a few readings left out but day 15 today for me and no temp rise and nothing really so I guess I am not ovulating as yet ( maybe not at all this month who knows ) anyhow will do the deed tonight or tomorow just in case.
Glad everyone seems to be moving into the TWW or are half way through it apart from you sunbeam but your time will come sooner than you know !
Hi Ladies
Happy New Year to you all, for BFP's for us all this yr.
Hoping I can join you in this thread. I probably know most of you already from the LTTTC and TTC AML threads but I have left the TTC AML thread as I felt that a lot of them were getting BFP's and here I was still waiting and undergoing IVF as well.
Its been almost a year since we got our BFP and then lost the lil one about a week or so later.
We are down to do IVF/ICSI in May again.
Will catch up with persies very soon. In the mean time, wishing you all as much luck as I can send out!
hi loops :hello: you have made your way here for the same reason as me, i hope you get your own surprise bfp and you don't need that ivf !
sunbeam: i hope you went ok with your mri today
india's mum: i hope the bding isn't too much a chore for you, i know how that is too and its awful
craftymummy: are you managing to get some bding in too ?
saffy: how are you going in the 2ww ?
possum magic: how are things with you ?
matthewsmum: where are you in the 2ww ?
afm: 7 dpo today and dreading entering the 2nd part of the 2ww where i start analysing things, the last few cycles i have had a have started bleeding 9 or 10 dpo and af has arrived so my first goal is to get past there with no bleeding
:bluedust::pink-babydust::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: for everyone
India's mum: Thanks hun. I'm ok at the moment. I was a bit worried for me too! But after a small bleed 6 days ago, no further bleeding (and I saw my OB wednesday when I got to see baby and a heartbeat!) IKWYM about feeling daunted coming up to that 'fertile window'. It's hard long term TTC. I hope that when it comes to it you find yourself in the mood.
Minniemouse: Going ok ATM. Injecting Clexane every day. Not my favourite moment of the day but it's pretty quick and then it's over. I'm seeing my OB again THursday for a check up so hopefully all will be looking good still. I hope clomid works for you. A friend of mine who had been TTC for 12mths had her tubes 'flushed' (non-technical term!) and fell pg immediately afterwards. So that seems to work for some people.
Saffy: If you've fallen pg naturally before could this happen again? I hope this is the month for your natural sticky babe.
Sunbeam: I'm sure the wait feels like a long one. I had an enforced 3mth break from TTC after my first mc and it had its ups and downs. The positive was that it gave me a break from stressing about TTC. Also, although it felt like a long time at the beginning, of course it slowly but surely did pass. I hope you feel healthy and ready to go when you reach the end of your 4mths. Hope your MRI went well.
Loops: I hope you get your sticky BFP really soon.
Craftymummy: hope you are well and that when it comes to it you find that you are in the mood to DTD. It's very hard keeping up that motivation longer term i know.
Thanks for the welcome ladies
AFM ~ BFN this morning and it was at 1am this morning after getting back from hospital, leaving DH who was trampled by some cattle yestie
He doesnt have internal bleeding or head injuries but some minor fractures in his neck and back. He will ok but must be in heaps of pain and its been a very long 24hours He has to go to Melb and may need some minor surgery. Wish there was some good news amongst all of this stress and pain but no we never have any such luck
loops-sorry it was a bfn...possummagic-glad things are back to being okay...saffy-i'm not expecting a bfp naturally either, there is a part of us that still remains hopeful though, hope your enjoying the beach...sunbeam-hope the mri went okay...minniemouse-i'm about 10 dpo...craftymummy-hope your Mum's stay is great...indias mum-hope the bedfest is fruitful...luna-where are you up to?..afm-testing in a few days time...
Loops - Sorry about the BFN and I hope that DH is ok. What a horrible night for you and him.
I have never had mid cycle bleeding before but this morning (Day 15) I have bright red spotting. What does that mean? I feel a bit freaked out by it.
hi india's mum,i have never had one but some describe implantation bleeding as bright red spotting, hope so for you.Or maybe your cervix got a bit irritated with the b'ding, that has happened to me,just a few spots, gone my the next day...
Thanks Matthew's Mum - I think it would be way too early for implantation as I generally don't ovulate until around Day 18 but I guess the b'ding could have caused it.
loops: sorry to hear about the bfn and also about your DH, i hope he is on the mend soon !
matthewsmum: any symptoms for you ?
india's mum: not sure about the bleeding either, i hope you ovulate soon
possum magic: how long are you doing the clexane for ? how will things go with work.....i think you started a new job a little while ago ?
afm: 10 dpo and wishing this next week away, will know one way or the other by the weekend. im getting my progesterone level result today so im hoping for a good number to show a "good" level & confirm ovulation
hi chicks-
minniemouse- I am 8DPO so nothing to report except sore boobs (which is normal for me at this stage). Good luck for your BT, I think I will know by next weekend as well, not holdng out any hope but had a dream last night that i got a bfp so I obviously subconsciously am! Good luck to you!
India'smum- I don't know what that spotting could be, hope it just goes away, if you still feel freaked and it stays go to a doctor for peace of mind ( Sorry if its TMI but was it after DTD?) ps- I dread having to BD on command and so does DH I'm sure! It has definately killed our sexlife.
matthewsmum- are you testing tomorrow? Good luck if you are!
Hi Loops- welcome in here, I hope your testing was too early and your DH feels better- sounds very stressful
Possummagic- nice to see you babe, hang in there you will be 12wks before you know it. Yes i have fallen preg naturally before but last time I was 36 and I feel like I am just too old now- its been 2 years, no joy.
Crafty- good for you with temping, sounds like you are doing ok- FX for a temp rise soon so you can give DH a break in the bedroom lol.
Sunbeam- I hope your MRI went ok, let us know hun!
AFM- had a great weekend and didn't think about ttc once so that was good- except for my dream last night- where i got a bfp- wasn't very happy when I woke up and realised it wasn't true lol!! I'm only 8DPO so a week to go, at least when AF comes I get to do an FET a coupe of wks later.
Sticky vibes to everyone!!!!
Hi Lovelies,
Loops - Glad you came over to us I hope your BFP comes quickly. So sorry to hear about your DH I hope that he is on the mend qucikly. All the crapy things come at once don't they?
All those in the TWW heaps and heaps of :bluedust::pink-babydust: Bring on the :bfp:s
Saffy - I hope AF stays gone but if she doesn't I wish I was doing FET with you. You go first and show me how its done babe. Bring on the frostie babies
Crafty - It is hard to remember to temp to start with but then it becomes so second nature you even start to dream you've done it even before you wake up!
AFM - I HAD AN MRI yay me I did it!!!! I'd love to say that 4 valium knocked me out and i slept through it, but NO! It was still incredibly hard, I had to focus my thoughts the whole time (I was listening to Pink and pretending I was at her concert). A few times when my thoughts drifted to where I really was my heart started to race, even on 4 valium! I thought I would be pretty out of it but I can even remember thinking "that's 3 songs down that must be about 9 minutes I should be about half way through"! Horrible, horrible, horrible but I did it, phew! I see the specialist on the 19th to get the results but of course my back has been feeling fine for days! Oh yes, just to make it even more special I got killer AF cramps half way into my MRI, excellent timing . Anyway one AF down 3 to go then I'll be waiting to defrost my snowbuds.
saffy: i hope you start getting some positive signs to indicate a bfp coming your way !
sunbeam: yay for making it through the mri, i hope the results are good for you
afm: well it looks like this cycle is over for me at 10 dpo, i have started bleeding and have cramping and backpain, im sure its not implantation, this is the way the last few cycles have gone for me........not sure what i will do now, i have one more cycle of clomid but im wondering whether i should start thinking about ivf and getting the ball rolling there........sigh
minniemouse-sorry,big hugs...afm-no symptoms,so i'll give it another day or 2,then test..thinking of you all
sunbeam- I wish we could do an FET together too- I'll do a stim cycle after this FET so maybe we will cycle together then!
minniemouse has af definately come? or is there a chance that its implantation??
hi everyone else x
