LT TTC after Miscarriage or Loss #7

Thanks saffy I am determined to get one more BFP against all the odds ! I am haunted by the remark a stupid DR said to me just after I came out of having a D&C for a 13.5wk pregnancy he said " its a miracle you were even pg anyway at your age its extremely unlikely it will ever happen again , you got enough kids anyway " very inconsiderate of him and I only wish I had done something about it at the time but I was groggy from general anasthetic and crying my eyes out about the loss anyways. So I have put all my energy into removing that coment from my brain and doing all I can to get UTD one more time I so want to prove to myself he was so wrong.

Found this awesome site yesterday while reading up on women over 45 having babies and its full of good tips for TTC Conception Tips – Conception Information – How to Conceive take a look I found some good info on there and I thought I knew enough about TTC after having so many but I was so wrong !

Sunbeam how you doing ? we have been TWW buddies soo many times in the past but this time I am far behind you so FX your BFP will start off a good few in this thread !!!!

Just popping in quick as I'm exhausted and need to get into bed.

Saffy - Whoo yay for getting AF on her way. Wonder what cd you will get to.

Crafty - I can't believe how insensitive some Dr.s can be that was such a horrible thing to say. I'm glad you are not letting it put you off, we all know it can happen so no reason it can't happen to you. By the way I'm on low dose aspirin too even though my blood clotting tests showed up on the good side of normal so it really can't hurt.

Minniemouse - I'm glad you are nice and calm because I'm well into analyzing everything.

AFM- My 3 days bed rest went well I slept heaps and was really not bored. I could have stayed in bed again today but I had to go to a seminar. I am already driving myself nuts wondering about every little niggle in my body. My boobs are huge and sore but I know full well the prog does that to them. Not sure how long i'll be able to not POAS. My bt is not till next thursday but i'll bring it forward to wed. because if i'm not UTD I'm going camping for the long weekend and will need to get ready.

sunbeam: ah the 2ww does your head in doesn't it ! you are a few days ahead of me & you have an embie on board so im probably almost a week behind you ?.....how much progesterone are you on ? im on it to but don't really have side effects from it, my boobs are a bit sore but nothing compared to a natural cycle which is really strange.

i hope you don't get to go camping next week ;-)

AFM ~ Havent done any IVF since October, may do one in September. AF hasnt shown yet but I did get a BFN on Sat. I'm too scared to test again but will have to tomorrow because I'm booked in for a whopping cough vaccination and you can't have it if you're PG and shouldnt conceive for 30days after having it. My last few cycles have been pretty early for me at around CD30-32. I have pimples, sorer boobs than normal, some cramps but really dont want to get hopes up too much.

provera has turned me into a :pms::angry::cry: so am in hiding, its my birthday today but it has been a struggle, dh has the day off but i want to strangle him. 2 more days on it then hopefully back to normal

Loops - It's so hard not to get our hopes up when we are analyzing every little twinge isn't it. :rolleyes: I hope your signs keep going.

Minniemouse- Sorry you were in here talking to yourself my weekend was chockas. I'm on 400mg of prog. night and morning (so 800mg total) which seems like a lot and feels like a lot. The only side affect I get from it is big veiny boobs which is also usually my first pg symptom so it is very disconcerting. It can also make me quite horny but I get way too crampy to do anything about it even if I was allowed.

AFM - Well I caved and POAS at 4dp5dt and at 6 and 7dp5dt (today, lunchtime) and I will do another one tomorrow and bt on wed. but all neg. so far. My boobs are huge and lots of blue veins but I am putting that down to the huge amount of prog. no other signs but that is usually my only one anyway. My guess at this stage....... camping on the weekend :rolleyes:

Hi All, just popping in to say gday and let you know I am now at CD11 was feeling a little crampy this morning so maybe I will O early again this cycle, but I won't hold my breathe. Seems when I do O early I have shorter cycles I have gone from a 28 day cycle Oing on day 20 to a 25 day cycle oing on day 16. Go figure......I now have just on 3.5 weeks to go until my first OB/GYN appointment after my mc, with a NEW OB/GYN, FX this one will sort things out for us quickly.
Sunbeam~ So sorry to hear of the BFN darl, huge cyber hugs to you. Would it just be to early to get your BFP do you think, I'm still holding on to hope for you darl and praying for your BFP.

Sunbeam- bl00dy BFNs- why don't they F off and leave all of us alone. I REALLY hope it is too early, you should get really organised for camping and pack everything-then Murphy's Law will prevail and you won't need it!! Hope the BT has better news.

Minnie- Is the BT tomorrow? Hows the tww going, going into the bad end of it- sending you lots of strength and a big fat bfp at the end!

I tested this morning and faint second line came up sometime when I wasnt watching - thought it was BFN with Lullaby Conceptions - went back about 20 mins later and there was a faint second line. But went out before and got a clear blue digital and it came up with Not Pregnant so now not too sure. I also have headaches which are generally not good for me but my temp is quite high - did my temp before and it was 37.4degrees - highest its ever been and no AF as yet. :noaf: :pray:

Sunbeam ~ sorry about your BFNs - are you changing donors? If it is def BFN drink lots on your camping :) well thats the way I try and look at things lol, I love camping too!

Minnie ~ I usually ovulate around day 20-24 as my cycles can be around 32-36 days. So I guess that would all make sense if I O'd around day 22 like I think it would mean I'm about 14DPO now. I so hope its implantation. I do feel quite crap today which I'm hoping is another good sign, BBs still sore, temp was 36.7deg C this morning when I got up. I'm having trouble getting a doc appointment but is it too early yet do you think to have a BT?

If I have a BFP then I contribute most of it to the fact this is the first time we have used Pre-Seed ;)

Minniemouse - Yes I have no idea why FS uses such high prog. on FET cycles it did seem like a lot but I guess he knows best. Yes I told bub if it wanted this guy as a dad this was its last chance so it had to decide.

AFM - Well official BFN from today's bt. I'm so glad I can POAS before so I always have a few days to get used to the idea before it's official it softens the blow for me. Somewhat surprisingly I'm in really good spirits. I slept badly on sunday and monday night and was awake for 2 hours in the middle of the night each time basically because I was just feeling so angry about all the wasted time and money and emotional energy. But today I feel calm. I know if I did not have new donor daddy waiting I'd be devastated but I just feel like its time to move on. I know this donor daddy is going to be quite upset but having heard all the stories of the things he got up to while we were trying I can't say I feel much sympathy for him (in fact I'm pretty bl*#dy sh^%y at him). I will have to talk to him at some point about what we are going to do with our last little embryo. I'd like to donate it so at least it gets a chance but I'm not sure if my age would rule that out.
So I'm ordering my OPKs tonight. I'm going to carry on 400mg of prog till saturday so that I don't get AF till after the weekend. Not sure that we are going camping as it looks like it will be a wet weekend but if we do I don't want to be dealing with AF out bush :lol:. So with any luck if I get a good cycle I will be inseminating with good, proven sperm by the end of the month, bring it on :D :sperm::sperm::sperm:

loops: how is the spotting ? will you test again tomorrow ? it isn't too early to get a blood test so do that if you can then get another in a couple of days to see what it is doing. everything still crossed for here

afm: i got my progesterone level back today, its 100 :o very high for me ! on clomid i got 14 and 19 !! so if anything is happening at least it would be well supported

AFM ~ well sadly it looks as though after all that it is a BFN ~ more pink, migraine all day (AF type migraine), temp is going down and negative on a First Response. Now I guess I wonder what actually happened - did it just not implant properly or were they false pos. Whatever way I just hope my system is not stuffed as I want to get ready for IVF in September. But then again perhaps we got that 1 step closer. Not feeling too upset - I guess like Sunbean, I kinda of new anyway.

loops: sorry to hear your line is gone :hug: it sounds like it was a chemical pregnancy, so hard to get so close but a good sign for you too, hopefully in the next few cycles with the preseed you will get a really sticky bfp before needing ivf

Today looking much the same so yes I think probably chem preg. A lot later on last night I checked the First Response and there was a very very faint line - have to squint to see it so obviously they were getting lighter and test this morning "Early Prognosis" was negative. Talk about serial POAS'er! Also more pink than yeasterday. Now to focus on saving money and getting my bod in top notch for September and always hoping for a natural miracle in between.

Loops - no I wanted a bfp for you! You are one step closer no matter what so thats a positive I guess. I am still stalking...............

Firstly sorry sunbeam and loops for BFNs I was so hoping the luck had changed on this thread maybe next time hey ! don't give up loops I am sure next time will be a good strong BFP I have had many chem over the years and thats one reason I don't test early anymore ! but at my age its more common anyhow the older you get the more likely and I was told something is not quite right after implantation and thats why you get a faint pos for a few days ! shame .
sunbeam new donor whoo hoo good strong swimmers and twins on the way I think ! :D well next month anyway

saffy yay for AF nearly there the roller coaster ride begins !! and good on ya for the knitting I am back into knitting atm baby blanket and matinee set for the next pg in my family maybe me maybe my DIL as long as its not my DD shes only just 16 and well you remember being 16 ? yep I do too :o

afm well did opk the last 2 days and although I got 2 lines the one was so much paler so I am guess I didn't O as yet but will test again today and see so DH best be ready for tonight makes me so cross when he just falls asleep he takes all his spermy meds and can't be bothered to know what day it is I have to keep reminding him just taking the zinc and menevit will not make me pg he has to actually DTD !!! men it would be so much easier with a donor sunbeam !!!;)

Saffy - OMG is AF really here, that must be the record for the longest cycle, blew my 60 days right out the water!

Crafty - Yes I am often grateful that I am using a donor. TTC has never had to impact on my sex life or my relationships along the way. I hope the line gets darker today.

Minniemouse - How yo going?

AFM - still haven't decided on the camping with it being sooo damn cold but still holding off AF till next week. So praying :pray: for a good next cycle, wake up ovaries!
