Having to start my very first jab tonight! Excited to be getting the "show on the road" finally. Scan scheduled for next Monday so hoping all goes well between now and then

Not sure if this is the right place but someone suggested I ask my question here....
So I had a failed IVF/ICSI in Feb/March. I am now on CD 7 of my second cycle after ivf and for the last few days having been getting mild
cramping ( definitely not AF pain ) similiar to what I got while on GOnal F. Any ideas what this is or if this is normal? TIA

Hi everyone, I'm stil here, have been the whole time, just not posting, only reading. Life has taken over and become very busy and stressful. We have bought a house and have moved into it over the last weekend. Along with that i have had a cold over the weekend. was fun moving with that =P
all the while ive been sniffing my Syneral...and 5 mins afterwards feeling it drip down my thoat and taste the disgusting taste....its worse first thing in the morning... (and now with my cold).
but tomorrow I have an ultrasound to see if i am suppressed....its also the day the $$ is due! and we can then take the next step =) I guess i will get the needles to stimulate and put me into over drive...

I hope everyone else is getting the results they want, and if you arent *giant hugs*
I hope to post more often soon, but we currently dont have internet here (im using my phone as a modem and its slow and expensive). we have only just gotten our tv working!

AF definitely arrived for me Giving up on trying naturally as we've tried everything we can that way. Think our only chance now is IVF or adoption etc. We are going to start looking into adoption now whilst we are still young.

Blinky ~ dont want to squash your hopes but after each cycle my body has done all sorts of weird things and I have quite often gotten my hopes up too much. I hope in your case though it may be a good thing. Just be aware the lengths of your cycles might change for a few months after as well. Goodluck with getting your miracle!

Teirae ~ congratulations on the house, its exciting. Hope you feel better soon and all the best with your cycle,

i actually have my first gonal f jab tonight... am scared a bit and excited too. i am going to check out my needles and make sure i remember how to do them as it was 3 years ago when i did first IVF/ ICSI.. wow how time flies when you're having fun. LOL
so i have a scan booked for wed 13th so keep fingers crossed.
by the way i forgot how awfull synarel was and tasted in the back of your throat. eek.

Does any one know how many days they do epu? Or like what cycle day? Tomorrow ill be cd7 and scaned to see if im surpressed, when will they likey do epu? Im just trying to figure work.. Tomorrow im travelling the 4hour round trip to the appointment and have to work a 8 1/2 hour shift in the afternoon....i dont think ill be able to do it more than once.

Waiting...waiting... Im on the waiting room at the clinic.. They are so nice here, one of the girls made me a cuppa cause I had such a big drive this morn =) little things like that help. Cant wait to have dates and a plan so im not stressing about work. We are s short atm there is noone avaliable to swap shifts with cause everyone is already on...

It’s been a while, so while I’m going to attempt some persies, I know that there will be many that I have missed, so I apologise in advance.....

Willi – omg!!!! Love logging in to see such WONDERFUL news. I wish you an amazing journey in your pregnancy and beyond.

Loops – I’m sorry hun that the witch arrived. You are such a positive and determined person, I know that by hook or by crook you will get there in the end, whether it be via natural or ivf measures or adoption. It is good to hedge your bets.

Teirae – Wow, you must have left home in the middle of the night like a stealth ninja on a mission to be in the waiting room by 9. It’s hard to say when EPU will be, it depends on your reaction to the stims I guess. In my experience, I have started stims approx 8 days after starting suppression, stimmed for about 9/10 days and then trigger and then EPU 36 hours after that. Hope your appt went smoothly today.

JBM – Happy jabbing, I’m sure it will all come back to you, like riding a bike! I noticed you said embies, does that mean you are planning on transferring 2 this time if all goes well?

N2L – Where are you up to? Hope you are finding plenty of distractions. Are you switching to medicated FET now? 9mm lining isn’t too far off is it?

Happybaby – Good to hear from you hun. I hope you are feeling a little better. I hope your test results are OK. Take good care of yourself, June will be here before you know it.

Saffy – How are you going? I just saw your post in the 2ww, I'm so sorry, it’s so very tough, especially when your body is giving you such crossed signals. Maybe another opinion is a good idea. I hope you get some time out to nurture yourself through this tough time. Take care, thinking of you today.....

Smejam – Welcome, and good luck with your jabbing too. I hope all went smoothly on your first round of jabbing.

Kass – Yay for a smooth transfer. I find that one of the most stressful parts about it, the whole full bladder thing stresses me out. I hope your little embie is making him/herself at home.

Blossum – Hope you are doing OK. How is your furbaby doing?

Elocin and Albi – I hope you are managing to keep your sanity in your 2ww’s

AFM - *Warning* Cranky pants post...
Have been feeling quite numb after my M/C. Well not really numb, but angry more than sad. I am so sick of all this but don't want to give up. I am going for karyotype (genetic/chromosone) testing this week to see if there is a particular reason that I have had 2 m/c's in 6 months.
A friend said last week was trying to be helpful by saying that I will probably get pg when I relax and forget about it all. Oh yeah, sometime over the last 4.5years, endless appt's, hundreds of pills, dozens of U/sounds and 100's of needles, 3 EPU's, 5 trfrs, 2 m/c's ,2 Laparoscopies... I forgot to relax, that'll do it! Stupid me!!!! Why didn't I think of that!! I know people mean well and don't know what to say, but I am so sick of it and I could have paid off 1/2 my ivf if I had a dollar for everytime someone said that to me or felt they had to list everyone they ever met who had successful ivf. I shall be saying boo to noone from now on. Next time if someone asks me when I am going to have another one and will say no and just leave it at that and not feel like I should have to justify myself.

I think DH has pretty much given up on all this and has pretty much said he has no faith in the whole process which has been pretty upsetting for me. I still have 5 frosties and don't want to give up just yet. Hopefully nothing is found in the testing and it's just rotten luck that we've had.

Am still waiting for first AF and will start OCP then, shouldn't be too far off now.
Good news, from the Lap I had done at the same time as curette, FS found that my Endo had calmed down considerably which is fantastic. I have been on Light and Easy for 3 weeks now and have lost about 3.5kgs so that has got to help. Hopefully by next cycle I will have a few less kg's to help improve my chances.

Sorry for the down post, just had to get all that out.... aaah, feeling a bit better now. Thanks for listening chickies.

afm: well i'm on break at work atm and not on BB.... lol.... it's my break time and my laptop so it's not hurting anyone. i chose to spend my break with you guys. lol cause you care about me more than the boys at work, i work with all men !!! eek but my DH is one of them so it's not that bad. and i only work 25 hrs a week also.

yes i am having 2 x embies, someone asked and i can't remember who ?, i am praying for twins, lol. so i don't have to do IVF again.

i think i bruised myself with jab last night and had to do it twice as i didn't push it in all the way the first time. ouch, double ouch...eek
the sniffing is giving me slight headaches but usually only in the morning ?, who knows but i am on panadol atm to help me.

my sister is also preggers, only told me the other day, she is 12 weeks, she was so worried about telling me as she knows what i've been thru, this is baby no 3 for her and she has also had a break of 8 years. i am so so excited for her atm and hope to be preggers with her next month.

fingers crossed, maybe she can spread some BFP germs to us all..... good luck guys

Tantee ~ Completely know how you feel hun, I get like that quite a bit. All the "relax" comments drive me insane these days. They just don't understand what it's all like. You have been through so much, you deserve a very happy ending now!! Will be so hard you get that!

It's not for women doing IVF. It's for the "experts" - ie. well meaning friends, family and work colleagues who know everything there is to know about assisted conception without actually having even come close to having to go through it themselves.

The generic name will be - "Mind Your Own Beeswax Pill"

Anyone want to place an order???

I'll take at least a year's supply thanks N2L. You crack me up. I think perhaps followup treatment could also be developed for those for whom the chill pill does not work.....we could call it STFU. (Can actually be read as Shut the....up or Stuff you!)

Thanks all you lovelies for your kind words. At least we all have each other in here who understand the frustrations.

JBM - that sniffing is nasty stuff. I think I rather jabbing the suppressant than sniffing. Hope your headache is easing. It's weird how you bruise only sometimes, must just be when you hit a vein occasionally. Big hugs to you... I hope that you are utd in the next couple of months and can go through it together with your sis.

Loops - I really really really hope that this will be our year to jump over to the pg threads. Fingers crossed.

BTW, Kass, when is your test date?

Tantee ~ I dont know if i have given you a *big massive tight squeeze* yet after your mc. Im so sorry to hear about your loss, and your other losses too!! I do hope the karotype gives you something... its hard as if it gives you something you have an answer/reason which makes it more likely to have a attack plan...but that also means there is a problem =( Ill be hanging out to hear what happens. FX whatever it is something can be done about it.
yea today is going to be a long day...i managed to do the trip in 1 1/2 hours (one way) so gave me time to pop home and have some food (and post here =P) before i have to go to work.

Kass ~ Thanks, yea PITA, sucks there isnt a facility in Wagga, cause that takes me 20 min to get to =P problem with living in sticks, but i wouldnt change it for the world!(the living in the sticks bit..not the needing ivf bit, that i would!!)

JBM ~ thanks, yea i felt so loved when they offered me a cuppa *blushes* . I find the sniffing worse in the morning, maybe cause first thing..the taste and yea the headache...at night doesnt bother me at all. good on you for getting x2 t/f. when is it happening?? sounds like we might be a the simular time, so we can keep eachother (in)sane during the TWW!!! and then hold eachothers hair out of the way when we are both UTD and have m/s!! sound like a plan?? (oh and congrats to your sister =) tell her to come and spread her germs this way =P)

N2L ~ I'm lucky I guess, we havent told many people we are TTC and the people who do know dont realise how long, and the only people who actually know we are doing IVF are my folks and my bestmate. so when people ask 'are you going to have babies soon' i go, yes, hopefuly soon, we are trying. and then just smile and i change the subject. I have got a few 'well you better hurry up and get on it soon!' when they realise how old DH is, and I just go 'yes, well aware of that' and smile and i change the subject. its not worth the effort really to go into it.
btw you should make those pills MASSIVE so they choke on it when they take it! =P

AFM ~ well had an us this am to see if the suppressing worked. it did, so today i start jabbing!! for yea, 10days is. i have another us next week when they said they will be able to give me exact dates on pickup. oo its happening!!!!!!! *excitement*
