Coral - glad your DS is ok, must've been really scary for you guys Yay for having had your FET - sending you many, many sticky vibes

Tantee - ouch re the $9K for your hand - hope it is healing nicely after that. My E2 that was 7100 was only a day 5 one, hence the concern. I had more yesterday, after 6 days stims and it is up to 11000 but once more, I am special. It is getting old! I had a scan yesterday and there are loads and loads of little follies, but after only 6 days, 12 that are almost ready to go???? WTF? My FS says that in all the time he has been doing this, he has NEVER seen follicles grow so much, so soon. SO, the plan is, I coasted yesterday, more bloods today and if they remain under 15000, they will do an EPU on Friday. However, as the clinic has never seen this before, we have no idea if there will be mature eggs so we are going into the EPU not expecting much. If it works, great. If not, the clinic has said that we won't be out of pocket in any way so this will be a freebie. It was that or cancellation and at least this way, we have nothing to lose and who knows We might get lucky. Interestingly, the nurses said that a day 5 E2 over 3000 on a microflare protocol is the limit before they normally pull the pin. Given mine was 7100, don't know why they have let me go on. I think my FS is really curious as to what is happening and offering a freebie was enough of a carrot for us to go through with it

    Hi Lovely ladies
Just a super short one as I actually have tonsillitis Have been in agony for last 4 days with killer sore throat - so much so I haven't been able to eat anything solid or hot its all been cold and frozen things. Feeling a fair bit better today but still no where near 100%. Oh well at least I'll be losing weight but I'm dying to eat a descent meal and I guess this month I def wont be expecting a BFP - there is no way an embryo would stick through all of what my body has thrown at me.

Hope everyone is doing well over in TWW -

N2L ~ good luck with the weight loss!

Mel ~ wow a freebie - thats pretty cool. will be crossing fingers and toes for you on Friday

    Hope everyone is well!

Loops ~ You just can't seem to catch a break can you!!! you poor thing!! here is some nice hot tea with honey to sooth that throat and a back rub cause you desearve it girl. I really hope you get better soon, take care of yourself!!

Mel ~ Wow a freebie, thats pretty exciting, sure beats not doing anything at all, even if it doesnt work atleast you know you tried!! I've never had the blood tests to check levels, they have only just checked the follies themselves. so no idea about any of the numbers, but hey, take what you can eh =) GL on Friday!! I hope there is something in there for you =).

Coral ~ Hope your DS is feeling better and not stressing you too much! how scary having to go to the hospital! Hope your not going to too crazy in the TWW!!! sending you sticky vibes!

Tantee ~ What are you up to?

N2L ~ How are you going with the no carbs?? it would kill me I live off pasta and DH would have 3 different types of potatos with every meal if he could eg... mash and chips (i dont let him, and say only 1 is enough.. ). Thats crazy about the money. I guess during the year you see the numbers but not till its all added up in one big number do you realise how much this actually costs!!

As for little ol' me.. I am on the home stretch. BT is on Friday. I'm too scared to POAS... I dont know how to take it if its neg. I still have that bad mouth taste..and mild nausea....like really mild now... I do feel full in the tummy I guess, but thats about it. Have had some really really mild cramping every now and again over the last week. Normally I only get erally really bad cramps D1 of AF and then im fine...none of this niggly stuff, so maybe??
On Monday I started a new job. I'm doing an 8 week contract at a hosptial 1 1/2 hrs away from home. I'm staying in the nurses quarters and bored out of my brain!!! I'm surprised i have been able to not focus on TWW aswell...(well it feels like i havent). My only net is through my phone, so thats why i'm not active as usual. But I'm missing DH like crazy =( and he is missing me.... but we worked out that no matter what I do, if I get pg this year I wont get maternity leave (as i havent got a permant job i just do contracts), so we need to get as much money as possible now, and me working away gives us about double what i would get at home. FX I am pg then I dont have to work again! *sigh* sorry to bring it down..Im just bored and lonley =(

Tei ~ aww thanks so much for the cyber tea and back rub hon! I'm not 100% better but so much better than I was. I can actually eat again.
Hope you have had good news today,

Also turns out that last night I got a smiley face on a clear blue OPK - pretty late but I'm happy with that because now that I'm pretty much better - I feel like DTD again and may be in with a chance this month after all!

Hope everyone is well - enjoy the weekend!!

Hi everyone. I posted my results in the TWW thread.. but yea my bt came back neg...

In saying that (and posting this will jinx it..) But DH and I are playing the denial card. We think its wrong. I know I know...its a bloodtest how can it be.. But I feel different, even DH said I look different, I am different. Little things I didnt even notice like where Im holding my fat atm (weird i know) but he said when my period is coming I normally get a little soft in this spot, but i'm currently just a little soft in a different spot. (its very sweet he is noticing things like that). but yea...I can't explain it...but I do feel diffferent. and my hoo haa feels different...I dont know. Basically AF still hasn't turned up, and im not feeling like she is...I thought for a second a few days ago maybe she was coming, but that feeling disapeared and she isnt here.

so until she comes DH and I are in denial it is negitive. I'm even thinking of still POAS...

I guess its my way of still thinking there is hope. We dont know what we are going to do next. Cause I'm now working away from home for the next 8 months.. its going to be really hard to get down to appointments (now 3+ hrs away from the clinic)... and I still dont feel right skipping out on work...but I think I will have to, cause i cant wait that long. Its going to be tough.

*sits back in her boat and just floats peacefully down the "River Denile" =)

    Hi Teire,

Big hugs to you, this is tough. How many days past transfer were you at testing time?
Unfortunately our bodies send us all kinds of mixed signals and with IVF, we are so sensitive to looking for signs, (I know I am a huge culprit) that it plays with your mind. Were you taking any support meds? (they can mimick similar signs to pregnancy and take a while to ebb off).
Saying that, I have read stories online where a BT has been neg and resulted in pg, but unfortunately I would say that they are in the minority when you know your exact dates as with IVF. I don't mean to be harsh or discount what you are feeling, because there is always that possibility, can you go to a local GP in a day or so and request another test perhaps?
It is hard when you have a forced break from TTC due to other circumstances. Is there any way in which your clinic can accommodate your working away, like having an associate dr/clinic closer to work run your bt's and scans and then only having to make the trip for pickup and transfer? I know of a few ladies in the country who have used this approach.
I hope so much that the result was incorrect but hope that you know either way, we are all here to support you. :-)

Tei - giant big to you, sweetie. It hurts so damn much. And I have to say that I totally know where you are coming from. Last cycle, despite the bfn, I was and still am absolutely convinced that something tried to happen but didn't work for whatever reason. Look after yourself hun xxx

Just a short one for me. We learnt that follicles do not grow good eggs after only 6 days of stims and needless to say, no viable embryos for transfer. I don't know if I have just toughened up loads or if I am just so jaded by the whole process that I feel nothing. Nada. Just emptiness and bitterness.

Melissa, I am so sorry. It is so bloody unfair. IVF becomes a blur after awhile and you have both moments of numbness and moments of raw emotion, maybe it's nature's way of protecting us from complete madness (we have to be at least a bit mad to enable us to keep putting ourselves through this time and time again)
Hopefully this will be a big learning curve for your FS and you will find the perfect protocol next time. It is so very hard to gear up for a cycle, especially knowing that there are further obstacles to conquer once/if a pg is acheived. I admire your strength and tenacity. Please take care of yourself.. I so hope that after you have taken the time to process it all, you will be able to move forward again soon and that you will acheive your dream next time round.

Mel and Tei ~ (((GBH))), know those feelings you are both having all too well. Mel ~ I hope you can have another try soon, just because the stim may not have really worked this time, doesnt mean it will be the same next - stay pos!
Tei ~ hope the BT was wrong or if not then 3rd time lucky!

AFM ~ I guess I'm in a normal everyday TWW after O'ing very late. So yeh just waiting waiting at the moment...

    Hope everyone is well xx

...well you can completely disregard my last post...I knew writing it down would jinx it...
Instead I will leave all you beautiful women with this:

In the red tent, the truth is known. In the red tent, where days pass like a gentle stream, as the gift of Innana courses through us, cleansing the body of last month's death, preparing the body to receive the new month's life, women give thanks-for repose and restoration, for the knowledge that life comes from between our legs, and that life costs blood.
