Kashby - CD28 7 day post transfer 1 x day 2 embryo
Mia01 - CD28 5 day post transfer 1 x day 5 embryo
Andie78 -CD29 5 day post transfer 1 x day 5 embryo
So here I am back here *sigh*. Not that I dont love each and everyone of you girls, but I think its about time we all progressed to the belly buddies thread instead!! Lets go everyone...
AF arrived yesterday morning, around 11am so I guess I would be CD1 today. And so it begins again. Not too sure whats going to be different this time
N2L - Anything happening yet?
Myturn - good luck with your BT's and kits. Its so frustrating when your body just dawdles along.
Jane - Welcome back. FET's are so much easier on the body. Still lots of mind games though. It depends on if you ovulate by yourself or not. I dont ovulate by myself these days, so I my FS takes over my cycle. I take tablets 1 x 3 times a day to thicken my lining, have a scan around day 13 I think and then pop it back in and take prog pessaries. If I get pg I have to take the prog pessaries for 12 weeks which is the only bummer. I guess if you ovulate by yourself they time you by BT's and pop it back in when your lined up.
Thanks to everyone for you hugs and kind thoughts. It would have been nice for this cycle to work and I feel like we did everything right, but guess it was not our time yet
Welcome back Vic. Sorry you find yourself back here Hopefully it won't be for much longer.
To answer your question, I had a little bit of blood last night. Nothing this morning. Same thing happened on 23 Feb. My legs are fluid-y and I am tired today so maybe AF is on its way??? Who knows?!?!
vic - sorry this month hasn't worked. its so frustrating when you dont have a reason why its not working, it gets increasingly harder to muster up enthusiasm to try again. but while we can still produce good embryo's, we've got to keep at it - surely one will stick one of these days... do you have a few day 2's frozen, will you thaw them all to try for blasts?
jane - hi jane, hope your FET goes smoothly this month.
myturn - how are you poor arms holding up with all those BT's? i ovulate later too (cd17-20), and have wondered if it matters that much. i guess if your hormones are surging & BT's show good levels for ovulation - things should be ok? i would like to ovulate more around cd14-16 though. hope you get your surge soon.
planetsasha - hows the clexane going? any updates on your embies?
I cant remember what they are lining you up for. A stim or FET? Can they see if you have ovulated by BT and if not give you provera to bring on AF? I hate the waiting.
Congrats on the weight loss. Thats so good. I too have to get back into it too. I feel like with each round of IVF i keep putting on weight and since I have not had a break I have not had a chance to lose it. I want to join the gym here, but wonder what I can do in the TWW.
Gosh, your so patient to wait that long. I too tossed up between taking time off to lose weight or just keep going with it. Have decided at 41 time is not on my side and am in the swing of rejection so will keep going. I figure if I lose weight and it still doesn't work I will have lost all those months for nothing. I am trying to eat healthy and exercise to lose weight and given that I should be doing FET's for a few months wont have the excuse of a stim to put more weight on. Ugh, sick of thinking about losing weight. Its never ending I dont even know what I have put on with this last stim. Only now just starting to feel a bit smaller.
Well, I am 41 in June - not that much behind you!!
I did five Stims and two FETs last year. My BMI is 38-39 I have come to the conclusion that at my age and weight it just won't work if I don't lose the kgs
I am lucky that I have good FSH and AMH so a couple of months won't hurt too much (according to my FS).
My FS is also enrolling me in a study trialling a new treatment so I need to get my weight down for that. I think it needs to be 35 BMI or lower.
Hi everyone - just wanted to thank you for the hugs and well wishes after my news last week. Vic big hugs and I have my fingers crossed you get your bfp next cycle. N2L you will be going again at around the same time as Amyjb, hopefully you will then be belly buddies together!
I am feelin a little more level headed and Dh and I have done lots of talking. I'm trying not to push the ivf (or baby) matter. I don't think he will change his mind anytime soon but I can see it is all coming from fear. I have an appointment next week to get a clearer picture of our options. At least if I know them it will be easie to accept. I am also hoping to find out how on earth I got 4 dominant follicles and 13 smaller follicles on the same dose I previously struggled to get one. In addition to that I had dropping hormone levels and a disappearing uterine lining so want to understand that more too.
Will be stalking you all and can't wait to celebrate some bfp's!
Hi Keta. Good luck with your appointment and FX you can get some answers.
N2L - Wow, thats a lot of cycles last year. I have done four in a row, with the first stim transfer being cancelled. Your right, it is good that your having a break and losing weight.
Looks like I may be joining your weight loss plan. Just spoke to my clinic and they want me to take a month off since I have just done a stim Now, I really feel like crying. They said to call with my next AF and I said I dont ovulate so it could be a long time inbetween calls. So now they dont know what to do with me and insist I have another FS appointment. I said I cant get the time off work to fly over and they arranged a phone appointment. I wanted that last time and said that I had to see him in person. Its all about who you speak to I swear. So my appointment is for the 15th March at 1.30pm. God knows when my next transfer will be, so will now concentrate on losing weight instead. I really wanted a baby by Christmas too, but I guess as long as I get my BFP then it doesn't matter when.
Joeve- will this be your first FS appointment to discuss IVF? I only ask because I go to my FS on the 19th (even though I am a current patient it still takes me 3 weeks to get an appointment, so very annoying) to arrange out first IVF cycle and I am curious as to what the appointment will entail, and seeing as your appointment is well before mine I was hoping you could fill me in.
Also for all you lovely ladies who have already been through this before, I am putting together a list of questions I want to ask the FS regarding IVF when I go to see him, are there any questions you wished you had asked but didn't or anything you think is important for me to ask. The last 2 visits I have been so nervous that I forgot everything and really want to be prepared this time.
Can I ask a silly question?!
If you are on the Crinone does that stop your period coming? I'm just wondering as I'm on CD28 and my cycles are usually between 28-30 days, so just wondering if thats thanks to the crinone or a sign??
Mia, to answer your question, it doesn't go on your CDs. It depends on your pickup day (ovulation day) and the length of your luteal phase.
So, if your pickup day was the 10th, for example, and you have a 14 day luteal phase, then AF would be due on the 24th. However, crinone or pregnyl or progesterone pessaries can stall AF too, so no AF is not usually considered a "sign" iykwim.
