Kimbe- Mines in the morning, I have to be at the hospital at 7am, it is an hour away from our house so we are going to stay up there the night before, so we don't have to get up a 5! I can't wait either but stressing about my numbers. My trigger is at 7.45pm tonight, when's yours?
myturn-hope you are feeling better soon but I remember my last epu, I was sore for ages, with a bloated tummy. rest on the couch for as long as you need, yay for being PUPO!!
Amyjellybean- I'm glad you got to sleep through that whole experience! Sounds painful, but at least they would be able to make sure they got the embie in well, good luck!

Quickie...Saffy, You'll have triggered already...yay! My triggers at midnight tonight. DH thinks he's sleeping in the spare room so the alarm doesn't wake him lol. I'm waking him if he even dares! We're an hour away too, but are not due there until 8.30am then we'll sit around till midday for EPU...nothing like a long build-up and wait at the hospital...and not being able to eat Grrr. DH has to have a tesa too and he'll be done well before me so being there so early is ok. GL with it.

Am on the phone so sorry for any spellin issues. Af finally arrivd after a massive migrane over the wkend which is good cos i have to start jabbing on wednesday! Perfect timing as i cldnt do d injections until af came so i was getting worried she wldnt show. Nervous for d injections but im sure ill get d hang of it.

Hi Girls,
its so busy in here and i am just not able to re-cap on everybody with whats happening, sorry i wouldnt know where to start!! but always wishing everyone in here loads of baby dust and fingers crossing and just praying for that BFP for everyone sooner rather than later.

I felt i needed a quick vent to those that understand what im going through & perhaps feeling the same way (particularly the 6 of us that i can see that have BT's next week) ??....whilst i am no novice at the dreaded 2ww, i must say this last week is beyond a joke and really doing my head in.
1st timer at the IVF 2ww and yesterday i was ready to give up and i had said to hubby no more, thats it. if this doenst work im done!

i had heaps of support from friends remembering when my needles were / epu and et - but with that im all fine.
Its this bit thats been the hardest!!! GRRRR & they certainly dont understand what it feels like!

ok im done with my rant...

for some preggo signs, so far nothing ? any other girls with BT due next week got any symptoms that are looking good for BFP ?

Oh no Amy_Jellybean you have the Nausea :-( bugger mate. i dont have that or the loss of appetite..that bloody crinone is evil evil evil for playing tricks on is.. if infact is... the wait is mean..

My boobs are hugest ever and im tiered (weary - like im ready for a nap right now) and its not fair that symptoms are so alike to preggo ones & af ! Lets hope your nausea, toilet and loss of appetite symptoms are the good kind and your BT is a BFP ! hang in there my fingers are deffo x'd for you xx.

To all the girls in the TWW, its such a crap stage. Full of high hopes and low thoughts all within the space of minutes. Its so frustrating. I hope we get lots of BFP's in here. We all totally deserve it!

AFM - CD2 today and starting my Gonal F friend tonight. This time around I got a flow chart, with days to have intercourse and the precise time to have the injections. I didn't get that last time. Also I am thinking about staying in Adelaide after transfer as normally I fly home within hours. Does anyone have any thoughts on flying so soon after transfer?

Hi saffy yay for starting injections!!! I think all fs's are different when it comes to flying, I'm a travel agent so I fly a lot for work and my fs doesn't like me flying within a week of transfer xxx

Hi Girls,

Missren- the TWW is the WORST!! I absolutely loathe it. I can deal with the injections, the endless blood tests, the ultrasounds, all of it but hate the TWW with a passion. And in my opinion, it is completely different and so much worse than a non-IVF TWW because you know that a living embryo was/is in there. You never know that for sure any other way. I wish I had some good advice for you but I don't. Just hang in there, Darling. xxxx

Amy- You poor thing! I haven't had a chance to comment but I couldn't believe it when I read that you have to have your transfers done under general! And now to feel so unwell. I really hope you don't have to don't have to go through this for long and get a BFP nice and fast.

Hi to everyone else- I hope all you TWW-ers are doing well. I need to pop over to the TWW thread to check in.

AFM- I'm ready to join the list! I'm CD2 today and will be doing a natural FET. I say natural but I'll be on prednisone and Clexane so that doesn't seem too natural. Hopefully, though they are zeroing in on the problem and this will be the one.

im exactly with you, ill take needles and strip naked in front of any doctor and happily have uncomfortable procedures over this 2ww. Your right, it definitely makes it harder knowing the embie was there and is it still there?? you constantly question.... "where did it go?? is it burrowing in there or has it dissapered ? WHY CANT i feel it working"

....ahh the joys of being female. i think that it only happens to those of us that can deal with it, so i guess we should take it all as a complement ?

Hi N2L- Yes, Darling. Here's the low down:

I have severe endo that was around my organs and my ovaries were stuck down to the broad ligament that runs behind the pelvis. Everything else worked fine (I ovulate, hormone levels were normal, sperm count and motility good) but the fallopian tubes were never going to get the egg so initially we were told that IVF was the go for us and that we should expect a result quickly (!!!).

After 4 transfers with no success I had surgery to clean up the endo (the back of my uterus was stuck to my bowel with scar tissue also) and the surgeon took a biopsy which revealed that I do have high levels of NK cells. As there was a possibility that the high levels were due to the presence of the endo, my next transfer (number 5) was done without any treatment for them but obviously that didn't work either.

For transfer number 6, I was on the prednisone only and after yet another BFN, my FS sent me for another raft of tests to look for some of the nasty clotting genes. I don't have any of the really scary ones but I do have one Factor 5 Leiden gene. Apparently two is a real problem but one is enough for the FS to treat it. We are at the point where we agree with the FS that we need to throw everything at this. Because I am still young-ish (although I freak out about my age the FS doesn't- yet), my general health is otherwise really good, I respond really well to the stim drugs and we produce what appear to be really good quality embryos, the puzzle is working out what the problem is.

So this time we will be on prednisone to suppress the NK cells and Clexane to address the possibility that the Factor 5 Leiden gene is causing some clotting problem. We'll see...

What about you? Have you been tested for NK cells?

Hi again Missren,

The other thing that is different about an IVF TWW for me is that when it doesn't work there is a very tangible sense of loss. The closest I have ever been to being pregnant is immediately after the transfer and even though it is only a few cells, it is still a part of you and something that has the potential to be your longed-for child. Our pattern in the TWW is usually feeling quite positive and content immediately after transfer, feelings that fade pretty quickly after a few days. In the first week I am reasonably good at keeping my mind off things but the second week turns me into a crazy person.

As I said before, there is no real advice I can give you other than to keep in mind your long-term goal. I realised last time that to ever get the result I want, I am going to have to go through a God-forsaken TWW first.

Also, the beautiful girls in here know how you are feeling when the people in your life probably don't. Just knowing someone understands can help a lot.
