    Hi lovelies!

Im at work so only a quicky (hehehe!) but will get back on tonight and do persies

Miss B - Dont worry about the blood with Puregon - I used to get a little bit of blood when i hit a vein/blood vessel in my tummy, I also found I would get a little bruise in the same spot - very attractive hahahaha!

Great job on the list Vic, I cant believe how many of us are doing IVF at the moment!!! Can you please put me on the list as waiting for AF to arrive approx 22 Jan. I have to admit im very scared about having to do these orgalutran injections this time after what ive heard!!

    Much love xxx

I just realised I'm the only one not doing ivf. If you would all prefer I join a different forum just let me know and I will just pop in to ask injection questions if they come up. Otherwise I am cycle day 5 with a bt due on the 18th Jan. Again if I'm in the wrong spot just let me know.

N2L - congrats on the great fertilisation rate. I really have a positive feeling about things for you (if only that was all you needed!). I seem to be hoping you get a bfp more than I have thought about one for myself. Good luck

Miss B - I'm using puregon also and get bleeding with some jabs. Actually my techniques must be a bit rough this time as so far all have had blood. I take a while to get a ripe follie but it was still quicker than originally expected (last cycle) so I guess the medication is still working. Hope you are going ok.

    Hi my lovelies!

N2L and Vic, I so hope and pray this is your month ladies! I have everything crossed so tight it hurts And fantastic news about your two frosties in the freezer n2l! Very impressed hun Thanks for the list Vic, I think I am currently CD6

Jane, you can do the injections hun! Try pinching your tummy skin quite tight and I promise you won't even feel the needle

Mia I know what you mean about being a walking pharmacy, that's how I feel too!

Amy, I did think about possibly hitting the blood vessel. In any case, the injection went in so it should be OK me thinks! Don't worry too much about the oralutran injection, the needle is a little bit thicker and it's a bit more uncomfortable to inject but it's seriously not that bad. Just tap the syringe so the air bubbles come up to the top and press the other end to get a little droplet out. And the leaflet says to inject it into your thigh, but apparently that's wrong as it's supposed to be into your tummy (lucky I checked with the IVF nurse). Wow, there are a few of us doing IVF ATM, very exciting indeed and I am so privileged to share my journey with you beautiful ladies

Keta, thanks for that hun! I guess I'm not the only one getting a bit of blood! hahaha. And please stay in here with us, don't go joining any other threads!

AFM, I have a monster headache today and after whingeing that nothing was happening, I have jinxed myself......once again! I woke up to a nice tender belly, well at least I know something is happening in there! lol

Hi to everyone else and I hope you're all having a great weekend! Once again massive truckloads of baby dust and sticky vibes to us all!

Hi ladies, just a quick one as I do t have much time, is cd referring to days since AF started or since meds started, if it's AF I am cd3 today 14th if its meds I am 2 so just wanted to check.

Thanks Vic for the list, I wrote stuff down the other night and couldn't make it's as simple as yours, yours is much easier :-)

I successfully did my needle myself this morning yay didn't hurt so was stoked. But on the otherwise of things I feel very flat today and on the edge of tears, I don't know if it's tiredness, hormones or just this whole process finally hitting me. I am trying to keep a brave face, I think I have just had the realization that I can't believe what we have to go through and the road feels so long :-(((

Hope everyone is having a good day.
Crossing fingers for everyone at their different stages.
I appreciate everyone in here and being able to chat to women going though the same thing as me, it is helping so much to stay on control, thank you all :hugs

Please ignore my last questions about cd's, I think I have lost the plot counting to many different things, Vic is right in her calculations, I was cd2 on 14th, I thought today was the 14th :-)

Oh my gosh I have lost it for sure, I was just chatting to DH about my question and how I am a dumbass counting the days of my cycle only for him to tell me it is the 14th today, think I need some more sleep, so my question still applies as I am cd3 today if it's from AF.
Please help fix my confusion :-))))

kerbear, big hugs hunni It is a pretty big shock to the system to even acknowledge that IVF is needed to achieve a pg. I really struggled with it the first time, but when you have that dream come true, it's awesome. Truly worth every needle, every tear, every ache and every invasion of your body. I really hope it's a nice short road for you hun

Thanks missb me to, it is a very big shock and I don't think I will make it through without tears today but I want to show DH I am ok so he doesn't think I have lost it so early in the process :-( cause I know he will worry about me then.

Hugs Kerbear fingers crossed it will be your first and last cycle. Cd starts from first day of af. My fs says that if af arrives in afternoon take the next day as cd1. One of the other ivf girls might be able to confirm that though.

goodness me.... I pop out for a day or so... and now I'm having trouble keeping up too!!!

so.... this will probably be a long catch up! Sorry if I babble on.... !!.... so going right back to where I left off...

N2L - PUPO!! woo hoo! glad the other embies are okay to freeze. I think that's reassuring - hopefully you won't need them - but you can always go back to them and will have the young eggs if you want another bub in a couple of years! No, you won't be too old!!

liseyt - is it your first IVF cycle? is it down reg? Like you I found the orgalutran a bit painful.... this time I don't have any antagonist drugs so I won't have to take it - thankfully! The main thing was how itchy it was! When is your ultrasound??

Jane - I actually find it helps to be doing it myself.... then I am in control... but at least DH can also do them so they don't hurt. good job!

Mia - I don't even know when I am starting puregon - and I started syneral on 3rd Jan! I stopped the pill a week after I started the syneral, then another week for the Down Reg US to check that the ovaries are 'silent', then the puregon starts (I think!!) just checked my booklet (cause I'm curious...)... oh I'm supposed to start jabbing the same day as the ultrasound.... seems you are starting the puregon a lot quicker after the syneral than I am.... either way, I'm pretty sure the pill has to stop a bit before you start the puregon, as they are opposing kinds of meds!!
I was told that in NO uncertain terms should be Syneral be in the fridge! It can cause it to freeze and ruin it. Also it needs to be kept upright and don't shake it... If you take the syneral at 7 or 7.30am - will you still be working at 7 or 7.30pm???? that seems like a really long day at work!!!! it's pretty easy to take it, I keep a bottle of water with me (cause it tastes a bit gross) - in fact I took it in my handbag last night to the movies, and gave a snort in the corner of the lollie shop..... but I wouldn't do that unless you were really confident... I needed a bench and lots of guts for the first week

Miss B - I am glad the pen didn't cause you too much pain. I actually think it's quite easy. According to my leaflet from the clinic - Stabbing with puregon or gonal f has the following side effects --- (and I quote)
    abdominal distention and discomfort
    increased vaginal discharge
    breast tenderness
    enlarged, tender ovaries
    bruising, irritation at injection site
    ittitability, tearfulness
    headaches
    nausea
    fluid retention
I am hoping there are no sneaky fibroids causing problems for you xxx
Glad you range yesterday!!!! yeah, we were told to call day 1, I'm surprised them didn't make that clear to you though! Oh well, at least you've started now! it will all happen quickly, and before you know it you will be PUPO!
I haven't read or heard anything about the blood for the orgalutran injection... but if you are worried call the nurse maybe? I didn't think it was kept in the fridge though..... I never kept mine in the fridge.... I was told not too....

Vic - Oh Vic - SOOOOOO cuper cute that DH was saying that to your belly! I loved it when DH put his hand on my belly and said "stick little ones" and stuff like that. I just saw the embie on the screen and thought.... wow.... that's our baby! so when it didn't stick, it was such a kick in the guts. So great that you were able to chat and he actually listened!! I can't bring myself to DTD when I'm taking the crinone, it's just a bit weird as it kinda feels like you've got excess toilet paper stuck up you.... not very sexy... and after the ET, there was NO way I could - TOO much pain, and WAY lethargic! DTD shouldn't be THAT much of a chore! ps.... I hate TWW - after IVF it's almost worse that the normal one!! At least I can kinda pretend I 'o'd later in the month as I have a longer cycle! but when it's been implanted I can't pretend!! lol... i really hope it works for you. FX

Kerbear - thanks.... just realised while writing this message that it also means I should be starting to stab myself monday as well.... weirdly.... I'm kinda excited about that :P I'm lucky that DH can come to the scans with me, we get them at 7.30 in the morning usually so it works for both of us and doesn't interfere with work. Monday is the first time he isn't going to be there, that that' smy fault for forgetting that he has to drop DSD home at 9, and I booked the appointment for 8.30.... doh... anyway, there should be nothing happening anyway, it's just nice to have the company. Feels less lonesome, and so often I felt alone in this, cause he doesn't have to do much really... it's good to be reasonable about it though.... (sometimes I wish we could just scream and chuck and tantie and get what WE want though!! ) We are only a few days behind each other, and will be in the TWW together! )
Ps... I actually have two windows open in the 'advanced reply' feature... and I flick between the one I am writing in, and reading through the comments below on the other window.... but I admire your enthusiasm to 'take notes' that's awesome!!! ..... and amusing
Pss... now that you've done the jabs yourself.... they are hardly painful at all are they!? the worst one I've done so far was the Orgalutran, which was SOOO itchy... and a little bit sore when it went in... but the pruegon and ovirel(trigger) were EASY.... I agree with Miss B though... the harder you pinch the skin, the better...
I hope you are feeling better tonight... Just tell DH it is all the hormones... cause it probably is!! and TBH I reckon i will be MUCH less distressed and emotional this time around... cause i know what I'm in for this time... it's not all new and scary. xx I am thinking of you xxx My FC also says CD1 is the day AF arrives - if it's afternoon, then the NEXT day is CD1 (which I find confusing, cause I have ALWAYS just said it's the day I start bleeding, not matter what time of the day it is!), so your FIRST post about the cycle day was the correct one - which would be typical wouldn't it!! (you know... you can edit your posts as well... so you could have just changed the original post...lol)

Amy_jellybean - don't worry about the Orgalutran - it's a little bit more painful than the puregon, but once you've done those injections it just slides in like the rest of them! and it's mostly that it's a bit stingy and itchy afterwards.... the first time I did it I forgot to push the air out of the needle and I ended up with a firm bulge of air inside me!! oops!

Keta - even though you're not doing IVF you are still doing "assited conception": which i was this thread is about, so you are welcome to stay you just fit nicely under the "waiting for O" heading (supported by puregon!)

good idea about the list...well done vic but just wondering.... are we 'waiting for o' when we are doing IVF? I don't really care what we title it....just wondering... cause initially I thought... I'm not in that section...?? Maybe it should be 'waiting for EPU' is anyone is the 'waiting for AF to arrive' list??? (oh just read - Amy Jellybean is... )

AF arrived this morning, so I'm CD1 today,
but... as for where I'm actually at.... I've been on syneral nasal spray for 12 days so far.... about to start jabbing next week sometime - just waiting for US on monday and to start stabbing myself. I think tonight is the first time I've readlly felt I've understood what's happening this cycle, going through all these posts and getting up to date with everyone, and checking things has helped me understand my own! lol.... and totally coincidentially I am CD1... which also means I'll be bleeding at the US on monday embarrassment.... and it won't be the usual nurse I see..... I know they don't care... it just means I can't wear a tampon in the morning and that's a bit gross...

..... so that's my long winded update.... I hope everyone is well, and I too appreciate the support from everyone, it really helps me feel less lonely.

crossing my fingers for N2L and Vic, and knowing that there are heaps of us going to be in the TWW together... and hopefully our own bellybuddies thread! xxx due in..... let me figure it out.... October....ish

....ps....(I can't be bothered going back to edit.... I've been writing this post for an hour now... so.... I will just sign off and apologise for any spelling errors and mistakes xxx)

Thanks myturn you are so sweet, there is so much to learn on this site, I use my phone most of the time do I don't have the same abilities as on computer to edit.
At least I can give everyone a good laugh at my posts and see my confusion ;-)).
It will be so nice to have someone in the 2ww together I think there might be a couple of us for memory.
Well I have to admit I had my cry and DH was like...what's wrong. Told him I would be ok in a minute and it's all a bit much, he responded what's a bit much...I don't think the men quit understand the toll this has on us, don't get me wrong I know he goes through the rollercoaster to but in a different way.
I am going to log on tomorrow and have a good chat to you all.
Sleep well, babysat to us all:-)

I use my phone sometimes too... checked my phone first and saw how much there was to update and realised I needed to turn on the computer
I giggled when I read your DH's response... I agree, my DH doesn't get it, but he tries and that's all we can ask for isn't it!
For my first cycle, I spent the first week crying... so don't worry! You are not alone! xxx

    Thanks Vic for the list

Kerbear dont worry I'm confused most of the times LMAO

Myturn - THANK YOU! that was SO helpful re the synarel and the fact that I'll be off the pill once the puregon starts YAY atleast its one less thing to think about taking. Thing is re the timings for synarel, at the moment its pretty hectic at work and "some" days I might have to stay back and since its about 1-1.5 hours drive (with bad traffic) to work each way not sure I'd make it intime. I might be safe at the time I need to take it though cos its not the busiest time of the month at work Sorry for the long explanation. I will be nervous taking it the first time cos I've never used anything like that before (I guess it'd be easier for people that are asthmatic and have used am inhaler). So you can drink straight after you take it? water or o.j that is LOL
