Miss B - My DD was Frozen at day 2, so transferred at Day 3 once defrosted. She was only 6 cells when they transferred her and she is an active almost 3 year old now. Pregnancies can happen from day 2/3 - in fact my clinic only does day 2/3 transfers.

Hope that makes you feel better!

Hi miss B - we were in a similar situation to you last time. They got 11 eggs out of me but only 5 fertilised and by day 2 only 2 had survived. They chose to put one into me which unfortunately resulted in a chem pregnancy and the other one is still frozen. If they hadn't have done my transfer when they did then they more than likely would have stopped developing and we would have been stuck with nothing. I wouldn't be to worried him as lots of girls I know have babies and they were 2 or 3 day embryos. Xxx

Miss B - Its certainly a dilema. I think go with whatever the lab suggests over the FS. They deal with that side of it, but if it makes you feel better definately call your FS. I only had 4 fertilized so they froze them at day 3 as I had a polyp and nothing could go back in that cycle. Its so hard to know what to do and sometimes I think better to leave it up to the proffessionals. There are so many variables. Good luck for tomorrow if thats the outcome. As if this journey isn't stressful enough

Thanks very much ladies. The FS called me back and he agreed that what the clinic has suggested is a good plan, which is to put the best one in tomorrow and if the other two are still growing, see if they can grow to day 5. He said that if they don't make it to day 5 they probably would not make it in the uterus if they were put in earlier. It was good that I called him as now I'll just go with whatever the clinic decides. FX that all goes well tomorrow. I'll be back later with persies xox

Thats great Miss. B. I am really glad you called him to make yourself feel at ease. It sounds like a good plan, and I always love to have a plan (even when I know its so hard to plan anything to do with IVF

So tomorrow you will be PUPO with me and N2L. We will be thinking of you x

    Hi Girls,

Just popping in (I've had a little break since failed attempt #6 in October but will be going for another FET next month) and wanted to say hi. I see there are some new faces and some familiar ones- I'm simultaneously happy to see you and sorry that you're still here.

The latest with me is that since our last failed attempt I have had all manner of blood tests for all the genetic nasties. It turns out that I have one Factor V Leiden gene so the next transfer will include Clexane injections along with the Prednisone I had last time for the killer cells. Is anyone else in here at the moment following the Bondi protocol? I'm currently day 11 and have short cycles of only 24-25 days so it won't be long before I'm back on the merry-go-round.

I hope everyone is coping well and I look forward to getting back up to date with everone's progress.

    Best,

    M. x

    Thanks for the welcome all

Myturn - multiquote worked well, glad scan good enough to jab, lucky you had massages before injections. Will look forward to your body setting a great example for mine cos it looks as if I am about three weeks behind you! CD1 after stopping OCP makes sense but that means I have to be cd-21 (minimum) and I hate that!!

MissB - good luck for tomorrow

Re Sisters: Mine is jealous of me because her partner doesn't want children and she is OK overall with that but would also be OK if he said 'How about it!'. There is always someone worse off than me and I guess I should get over myself

Meg76: sorry you have to do Clexane and steroids but hopefully it will allow you to achieve the ultimate goal

N2L: thinking of ya, hope Amy-jb's feeling is more accurate than yours

Everyone else - hope you are all hanging in there

It takes a while to get going and the wait feels like ages - but now that I'm here it will be all action stations - my advice kashby us to enjoy this time as not TTC time and value it for what it is xxx

Just wondering if anyone notices the puregon side effects straight away? I don't recall last time - but today I definitely felt pressure on my tummy shortly after the stab and am aware of the heavy feeling today. Maybe the higher dose of meds and down reg is why - but how soon have you guys noticed the side effects?
It took a week for headaches to arrive with the syneral and that was cause AF arrived I think.

Hope everyone else is plodding along nicely. We ate off to pick up DSD and out for dinner at shops - our usual Friday routine (we have her every weekend). So it should be pleasant.

xxxx I may pop back in later if nothing else is happening

Miss B - wishing you all the best for your transfer tomorrow - whilst it is a little earlier than you were expecting, I guess if it gives the embie the best chance then that is the best thing to do. Glad your Fs has been supportive with advice. IIt can be so overwhelming at times knowing what to do. Really hope it goes well and that the TTW results in a BFP.

Amy and Myturn- woo hoo jabbing time - hope it all goes well.

Hi Kashby and welcome. I did a down reg cycle too so I know what you mean about it taking so damn long. Getting closer though. Good luck with it all.

N2L and Vic - I am crossing absolutely everything I can for you both.

Hi Blossom - hope those follicles keep deeveloping. But as you say, we only need 1. Heres hoping you have that one hun.

Hi Meg - sorry to hear that - I hope that with the change of meds this next cycle that you get a sticky one. Hugs.

Everyone else - hope you are travelling well - if nothing else - thank god its the weekend - time for some r&r ladies!

AFM- Ok so i found out at the clinic today that I am CD8 today. I also had BT and US today. Endometrium lining currently 8mm. 15 follicles on right ovary. 24 follicles on right. 11 follicles were between 10 and 12mm. So am pretty happy with that. Still away to go. But given I've been on zoladex, my body is responding pretty well. Not sure what my estrogen levels were - but the nurse said they were ok. Go back for another BT and Us on Mon (23rd)

Vic, thanks hun. Yes, tomorrow I will hopefully be PUPO with you and n2l! Will you be testing before your BT? I got a very faint positive with DS 11 days post transfer. Not long for your test hun, very excited and on the edge of my seat for you and n2l!! Mega sticky vibes to you both

Hi Meg and GL to you in your cycle!

    Kashby, thanks hunni!

myturn, I didn't get the huge migranes until I was jabbing with both the puregon and orgalutran. The puregon on it's own was OK. Have fun at the shop with your DSD!

Jane, thanks sweetie. You've got some very impressive follie numbers there hun! I hope they all keep growing nicely and GL for your scan on Monday .

AFM, my transfer is at 9 am tomorrow. I told DF that we have to DTD tonight as that's what we did both times before my transfers and we got BFP both times. Don't want to do anything different this time! He is fobbing me off though, because his ball bag is black and sore and he's too scared it will hurt. Too bad buddy, we're doin' it! I was also madly cleaning the house today because after my transfers I like to take it really easy (like, I don't do ANYTHING for 3 days except lie on the couch, watch comedies and relax). It will be tricky this time as we have a LO running around, but DF already knows he's gotta do the LOT. hehehehehehe
Just a note girls, I have super sore boobies. I'm currently CD12, but I never have them sore around O time, just a few days before AF arrives. Is it the drugs???

to all the other lovely ladies in here!

    Hi all!

Wow! I have never seen it so busy in here!!! It's crazy (in a good way!!) I am very lost...lol

Hi to all the newbies, and welcome to our thread I hope you find it supportive and full of advice! If you aren't sure about something, just ask. There's a good chance someone on here will know the answer.

How exciting about tomorrow MissB! Don't let DH off the hook tonight After all, you will be the one doing all the work over the next nine months!

I will be back tomorrow for persies. I am on my iPad and it is a bit difficult - particularly with so much going on.

Afm: spent the day at a water fun park in Winchelsea, the other side of Melbourne. It was not the best day weather wise (cloudy) but I got burnt I didn't go on any rides as they all said, 'not suitable for pg women'. I couldn't be bothered anyway I had fun regardless, and DP and DD had a ball. DP is already zonked on the couch

Cramping pretty much nil today. I think I am out for sure. I POAS this morning and it was stark white. That's 9dpo on a sensitive test so it should be registering something. I could not bring myself to tell DP and ruin his day. He is so hopeful this cycle. I think it will hit him hard I am just resigned to it now that i am going to be one of the 40 per cent of people for whom IVF doesn't work

How are you going Vic? Any symptoms??? Out of all the people cycling at the moment someone has to get pregnant!!! Lol.

    Have a good night everyone

n2l, sorry you're not feeling optimistic for this cycle, but you never know hun, I still have everything crossed for you. Remember with both my BFP's I had no symptoms. If I get a BFN, I think I'll try a couple more times but then I'll re think everything. I am so very lucky enough to have one DS here on earth, if he's the only one so be it, but I will be pretty heart broken if he's got no siblings close to his age. I'm glad you had fun at the water park, but ouchy for the sunburn! I didn't think you could get burnt without the sun, but I guess that's not true! lol. Rest up hun and think positive preggy thoughts. We're all behind ya hun

n2l - I feel like I have to pop in here every day or else I miss something!! Lol... you are right it is busy - nice to have so much support and know that there are so many of us going through the same thing - but weird that it's good, because it sucks that there are so many of us having trouble! You're right though, with so many cycling there MUST be some BFP's in here!!! seriously though, I'm going to have survivor guilt whenever it finally happens for me!
sorry you don't feel like it is working.... I can totally understand the POAS addiction, cause, although you never know - at least this way it's like preparation for if it's a bfn. We are all still crossing our fingers for you and praying that the universe makes it happen for you. It's sweet that DH will be disappointed, I always find it harder to watch a man when he is upset. for him too.
BTW - we were wondering about funfields (assuming that's where you were) and whether it was worth the trip??? Have been to the water park in geelong - and that was awesome, but sounds like winchelsea was worth it too??

Miss B - the only time I noticed sore ( . ) ( . )'s was for a few days after transfer, when I was taking the progesterone (crinone). But I guess it could be the trigger... makes sense that it might be - but who knows!! FX that transfer goes well tomorrow. Have a good sleep - I found that the two days before ET, I barely slept at night - after the first day was sleepy due to anasthetic. So I was tired by the end of the whole thing.

Hi Meg76 - welcome back - sorry that - you too have to be here, and the blood work wasn't great - although I imagine it'z mixed feelings knowing that there's something to 'explain' things, but it's still never nice to find out something is wrong either.... it's all a bit crap really. FX you are not here long either. xxx

AFM.... just sitting on the couch - amazing how feelings fluctuate between miserableness and excitement so quickly!!! Feeling like a bit of a freak really! and not sure if I am imagining symptoms or not... don't think so - and I certainly don't remember this feeling last time - gives me hope that the follies will respond quickly this time and I can get the cycle in nice and quick. I booked a hair cut and colour for wednesday night - so I can get a colour done before I'm PUPO and make it a similar hair colour to natural, so I don't have to worry about regrowth while preg.... I'm feeling quite positive about this one - even before I started in September - I said to myself a few times.... it will be the 2nd cycle... so...... (seriuosly though.... I'm going to be so devestated if I'm wrong!)

    hope you're feeling well vic

    have a nice weekend ladies

    Hi ladies,

Well, I'm officially PUPO! Transfer went smoothly. They have transferred one 4 cell day 2 embie, they showed me a pic, it was very cute. The other two will be grown, if possible to day 5/6. She said most couples chose this option as if they are strong, they will make it. My third embie was only 2 cell, a bit slow to start, and the third was 6 cells but slightly fragmented. So fingers crossed this one sticks like glue and everything goes well! I made DF DTD last night, it was funny because he said I wasn't wearing 'tempting' bed attire (yeah, right, just get on with it!).

Will be back for persies later, gotta reserve that spot on the couch now! lol
