Just wanted to pop my head in and let y'all know my ET this morning was great - all 6 of my embies are going strong! They gave me a picture of the embie that they implanted - was so exciting. Amazing to be able to see on the ultrasound the exact moment that embryo entered my uterus - def one of the few upsides of IVF...

    So I guess I'm officially a 2w-waiter!

Good afternoon ladies! Hope you are all well.

Terry - congrats on an amazing weight loss. Hope you're enjoying the acupuncture and the 'normal' life while you have it!

WaitingAwaiting - pleasure treasure, hope it all helps!

Sharee - You're obsessive? I think that's a prerequisite in here! Hope you're doing well with the sniffing and injecting. Did you trigger today or are they holding you till tomorrow?

BJ81 - GL & FX for Wed. Is that still your big day? Please don't freak, trust in your FS and yourself.

Miss K - Sorry to hear you're hormonal. Hope you level out. My DH told me today that he was ready to move out six weeks ago - hope that doesn't happen to you! Putting Handy Andy in the fridge is nothing - I went to work with my shirt inside out and then forgot to turn my oven on after only setting the temperature. Dinner was very late that night!

Danyelle - have you gotten any answers to your questions? I'm afraid that I don't know any about genetic possibilities when it comes to NK Antibodies.

Babytruj - Ha! You're as big a Nanna as I am! When are you on holidays?

EmeraldStar - You must feel great now that you've gotten rid of all that snot! GL with your injections.

Wishingbaby - thinking of you. Hope you're healing.

Loops12 - Hope your migraines have abaited and the mood swing have levelled out.

Rob - trust you're progressing nicely and you didn't suffer in the terrible heat.

AFM - just wanted to say thank you ladies for all your well wishes. I'm still in the tww and will be pleased to see you all over there soon. I'm doing well and am surprisingly chipper. Sending happy vibes to you all. Enjoy your remaining hours of the weekend!

Danyelle is this what you are talking about ...

Natural killer cells (or NK cells) are a type of cytotoxic lymphocyte that constitute a major component of the innate immune system. NK cells play a major role in the rejection of tumors and cells infected by viruses. The cells kill by releasing small cytoplasmic granules of proteins called perforin and granzyme that cause the target cell to die by apoptosis.

Full info is here Natural killer cell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Or this

    Immunological infertility
The immune system consists of immune cells (type of white blood cell) and cell products (cytokines). There are different immune cells such as natural killer cells (NK cells). NK cells are characterised by their expression of the cell surface antigens, CD56 and CD16. There are many types of NK cells producing variety of cytokines, some are beneficial protecting the body from developing cancer, and attacking infection while others produce toxic cytokines such as tumour necrosis factor (TNF) alpha. All NK cells originate from stem cells in the bone marrow and after maturation will either circulate in the blood or migrate and reside in tissues such as endometrium. Uterine NK cells are different from circulating (peripheral blood) NK cells.

    Or Finally

Natural Killer Cells (NK Cells, CD56 Cells)
In addition to antibodies, there are a number of different types of cells that participate in the immune system. These cells are distinguished by structures on their surface. Natural killer cells are identified by the surface marker known as CD56.

There are reasons to suspect that uterine NK cells may be involved in reproduction. NK cells are the dominant type of immune cell in the uterine lining during formation of the placenta. These uterine NK cells are also present in the uterine lining of non-pregnant women. After ovulation, for example, uterine NK cells divide and replicate so rapidly that they eventually account for about 1/3 of the cells present in the uterine lining at that time. Uterine NK cells accumulate in large numbers at the embryo’s implantation site.

    Hopefully this info may help

Hope everyone else is coping ok. xox
