FX crossed for both of you katones and oneday.

Saffy I was told the same stat - 90% chance of surviving the thaw. Both my embies survived too although only the first went on to implant.
The first FET the embryologist said "all the cells were alive"
The 2nd FET the embryologist said "95% of the cells were alive"
    Good luck with the transfer.

JBM - not too long to go! Hope your finances will be ok

Saffy - Good luck with the thaw! So far I've had 4/5 thaw successfully. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Oneday - sounds like they're going well - hope you get good news tomorrow. I always do progesterone in bed so I don't have to get up again til morning. The stuff that comes out is meant to be (I forget exactly) wax or something that isn't meant to be absorbed.

    Katones - sounds very promising!

Loops - I feel the same way. Had my last transfer stuck around I would have been due 4 days before my 30th. Hopefully it will happen soon

NTL and Happybaby - hope the jabbing is going well!

afm - transfer is set for Friday

    Hi Ladies
Oneday ~ thanks hun, (((GBH))). Hope your DH is not in too much pain with his knee. It sucks having to wait so long. No news is good news I guess, FX'd tight for a great transfer! I'm sure the cramping would be due to Crinone - its horrid stuff.

Saffy ~ I've never had any to freeze in the 1st place so I'm not sure on the stats but will be for you! Hope all goes well

Thanks JBM ~ I'm not feeling too bad, just want things to start looking up for us - surely they will soon. Hope the 3 weeks goes quick.

Happybaby ~ thanks for your message the other day, migraines are the worst arent they. Hope things are well with you.

Kass ~ yep that sucks. Hopefully your dream/miracle will come very soon! All the best for Friday, will be thinking of you!

Hi all and sending out lots of

Thanks ladies for your well wishes for tomorrow im so excited, i feel different this time maybe because we are transfering 2 so i have double chance of atleast one working? I had a BT today to check my progesterone level so im hoping my levels are ok.

Ladies that are also about to have their transfers for FE cycles, goodluck xxxxx will see you in the 2ww thread

Saffy i think thats what they said to me with my first STIM cycle that be prepared it may not survive the thaw, i always felt ok about it though because i had a day 6 embryo so if one of the day 5's didn't thaw they could get my day 6 out and transfer that pretty much straight away. But dont stress cause all my 3 thawed perfectly xxxxx

    Hi!
Oneday - I have my fingers crossed for you today. I hope all goes well and you get some perfect little frosties as well. GL with your transfer

Katones - Your signs sound promising. I remember feeling very similar (noticable) pains on the cycle that I fell. Perhaps your stinking headache is from a surging HCG level!!! I too have had a migraine for the last 2 days and was up at 2am vomiting from it. It has eased a bit but I am missing my voltaren.. the panadol does nothing.

Saffy - I was told that my blasties had a 90% chance of thawing successfully. I suppose it also varies clinic by clinic too. Best of luck for tomorrow's thaw.

Loops - How is your DH going? What challenges you have both had!! Although from what I know of you in here, you are such a positively strong women, I know you will get through it.

JBM - Hope your 3ww till your FS goes fast for your. All this waiting around can drive you crazy, but at least you have a date booked in and can plan from there on in.

NTL - GL with your cycle.

Williever - Welcome. No time like the present. I don't think you are ever 100% ready to start a cycle. I am on my 5th and still have a slight feeling of hesitation each time.

    Happybaby -

Kass - GL for your transfer on Fri.

Sorry if I have missed anyone else . It's hard to catch up on everyone in here.

AFM - I have started the estrogen for my FET, however am stressing that I may have to cancel. I have had a cough since Oct and have had antibitoics, tests, xrays and been given the all clear by the respitory specialist, however my doctor wants me to go to an ENT specialist and get them to look down my throat. I have managed to get into one on thurs which will also be my first scan for lining, so I am feeling that it is all touch and go at the moment. (I had also held back my cycle a week for the respitory specialist appt)
I really want to get this cough sorted beforehand in case there is something seriously wrong, but as you ladies know, the urgency you sometimes feel to get into the next cycle is causing me some angst.

Also, does anyone else here have issues with the full bladder at ET? I have got to the point that I am in so much discomfort and fear that I am going to burst that I work myself up into a bit of a state and don't even watch the transfer. My bladder is not great at the best of times and it also doesn't help that they also press on your tummy with an ultrasound. Last time I didn't drink enough and they sent me back out. How much do you drink and when before your transfer?

tantee-hope they get your cough sorted soon, obviously they would have tested you for whooping cough? As for the bladder, I have a terrible bladder so didn't really drink much at all, just what they recommended, other people were in agony in the waiting room- not me lol!! When I got in the nurse said it was fine and that you don't really need that much anyway, so I'm surprised they made you have more- the last thing you want to do after a transfer is go to the toilet straight away! Good luck hope your bladder holds out.

Tantee - hope everythings ok and you can go ahead. My clinic doesn't use ultrasound and they insist on emptying your bladder before you transfer! I've always thought it was a bit funny that they don't since it seems like it would be helpful. They've told me some stats that make it seem like the ultrasound doesn't make a huge difference to the outcome - maybe you could ask if you could do it without?

Hope your transfer went well today oneday!

Hey ladies well everything went great today, its my father in laws birthday so already a special day and then i got a call from the hubby (who wasn't going to be able to make it to transfer) but he was working only 15 mins away from the clinic so he asked his boss if he could come and his boss said it was fine. We had 2 lovely looking embryo's transfered and another 5 made it to the blast stage BUT she said they arn't quite up to where they should be???? i dont get this my other clinic froze all blasties and this clinic discards them if there not the 'best' quality, im a bit upset about this we have never had 7 blastiest before i was so excited and then they went onto say they most likely wont be suitable to freeze? but they are going to culture them until tomorrow and see. Has anyone else had this happen to them before? Anyways i also got my results from my progesterone test yesterday and it was 470!!!!!!! the nurse said she has never seen a progesterone level so high before, so she said i shouldn't be worried at all about my levels but gave me another blood form to get tested in another week just to put me at ease. I feel good about this so fingers crossed!

Tantee im sorry to hear your cough is still playing up on you. I think do what you feel is right from your heart that way you wont have any regrets, good luck. I have felt pretty uncomfortable during previous cycles but with westmead they ask you to empty your bladder and then only drink enough so its 1/4 or 1/2 full and today i didnt feel uncomfortable at all and i wasnt asked to drink more, maybe bring it up with your nurse xxx

Oneday, that is awesome news!!!! Let's hope they snuggle in tightly. Good luck in your 2ww. Wow, your test day is not far away at all!!!! How exciting!!!!!

Did your FS recommend 2 due to the number of transfers you have had? I am curious as my FS has suggested 2 this time.

I had 4 blasts frozen at day 5 and they then called me on Day 6 to say they had frozen 2 more which I was totally not expecting. So there is hope yet for your little ones. My clinic too will only freeze what they think can survive the thaw.
I was with your clinic (I think) about 2 years ago and I know that they had a new head embryologist come in from o/seas who I think was starting a major overhaul in their embryo and freezing procedures which from what I could tell was well welcomed by the staff.

Kass & Saffy - thanks for your well wishes. It is just nice to be able to talk about these things with people who understand and don't blow it off. If I were to tell anyone else, they would kind of be like, get over it, no big deal. But you ladies understand that it is another worry to add to all the other anxieties of this IVF journey and just how vulnerable you can feel.

I was tested for whooping a while back which came back neg but Specialist thinks I may still have had it. (Also had it as a bub) but want to make sure all is OK as I was a smoker for many years. Have not smoked in a long time except for 8 days last year after my miscarriage which triggered the whole cough off. I think I was so angry at my body after trying to do so much for so long to get pregnant, I thought 'bugger it'. That will show me who's boss - my body!

    Hi everyone

Sounds like everyone is travelling along pretty well....

Katones - I think you may have a winner there...I am no expert but it sounds like your symptoms are starting to increase. Hopefully it will all add up to some really wonderful news for you!! FX

Oneday - Your transfer sounds wonderful. I am so glad your DH could be there in the end. Look after yourself in the coming days! Take care x

Happybaby - Seems like we are on a similar schedule with our jabbing, etc. What type of cycle are you doing?

Tantee - I hope they get to the bottom of your cough mystery and that it does not hamper your quest to get UTD for too long. Dumb, dumb question but are you taking supplements/multivitamins?? Maybe that might help your body fight whatever it has to fight in order to get rid of the infection (or whatever it is!!)

Saffy - Hope your thaw went well. Looking forward to hearing some happy news from you

Kass- best of luck for your transfer on Friday. May you be one of the BFPs we are surely due for in here very soon

AFM - I have a question. I am currently CD7 and I have done 4 jabs of gonal f (262.5 iui) so far. And, apart for a slight swollen feeling on the right ovary (my dominant ovary) on Monday night, I have had no pain or any other side effects. So while on one hand this is good, on the other hand I am starting to think maybe this isnt working. On the clomid (which worked getting me ovulating with nice follicles every month) I had real pain in my ovaries. They felt soooo swollen. I guess I was expecting more with the gonal f. Especially as this is meant to stimulate the ovaries so much more than the clomid. I have a scan and BT tomorrow but, of course, I cant wait until then!!!! I would love to hear what everyone else's experience has been. Should I be worried that I am not responding? Or is it too early to feel pain??

    Thanks everyone

N2L - In my experiences, I have found there to be few side affects in the ovary region until I have been stimming for nearly a week. Up until then, I don't feel too much discomfort at all. I find that it's the higher Estrogen levels (mine tend to go pretty high, I have PCOS) that give me the worst symptoms such as nausea and a general off feeling. I also did clomid for 5 months prior to my first IVF and found it to be very different feeling, very intense especially in the first couple of months and I was a hell of a lot moodier. Maybe it's a different kind of stimulant, I don't know. The IVF tends to feel like more of a slow build up.
re your IVF, It may not feel like much is happening, but more than likely, it is, especially as your dose is quite considerable so try not be too concerned.. you will have a good indication tomorrow and they can adjust your dosage to suit if needed. Good luck!!!

oneday - sounds like your transfer went really well. fx for a bfp in a couple of weeks! Hope your blasties have done really well overnight and you have a few in the freezer today

Saffy - how did your transfer go?

ntl -like tantee said, it may just be working differently. I've never had any symptoms (I've been on puregon not gonal f) try not to worry - I'm sure it's all ok!

Tantee - hope your appointments go well today!

afm - starting to get nervous about Friday - my cervix has a history of being difficult to navigate and my transfers are always pretty painful. I had a dream last night where my dr gave up halfway through the transfer - I was so upset when I woke up!

    hello ladies

Ohh some good news in here with the transfers and symptoms.

Tantee I told my FS I wanted to transfer 2 embies this time. I figured I've transferred 4 singles so far and only one has implanted so I'm not worried about both implanting. I hope you find out the cause of your cough.

n2l I'm on day 5 with jabbing. I'm on a down reg with 200 iui of puregon. It's the highest dose I've been on although last time it was 187.5 so not much different. But I'm the opposite to you. I've really noticed the heavy feeling in my ovaries that I usually get around day 11. I have my scan and BT on Monday which will be day 10.

Oneday Good news your transfer went well. I hope you get some embies to freeze. Best of luck in the 2WW.

Katones I hope you're feeling better or that your symptoms are pg related.

Kass Best of luck for the transfer on Friday.

Saffy, Loops and everryone else I've missed a big hello to you.

    xxHB

    Thanks girls!

I actually just got an answer to my own question! A member of my nursing team (well, not MY nursing team, but you know what I mean!) just rang to confirm my scan appointment tomorrow. I asked him about my non-symptoms and whether they are indicative of a poor response. He said, 'Absolutely not' and that many women who have 'brilliant' results have no symptoms whatsoever. I am hoping I am one of them!!!!

I guess I will find out tomorrow

N2L- don't worry I had more symptoms from clomid as well, I only had a slight feeling in my ovaries with my stim cycle and got 10 egs, so don't stress and good luck!

kass- transfer was good thanks, hope yours goes as smoothly x

tantee- hope you sort the cough, at least if it is whooping cough they can get rid of it with antis xx

oneday- see you in the tww thread, hope this is the one for you xx

hi happybaby- hows the jabbing going? xx

AFM- transfer today, it went well, bit more painful than last time but the doctor I had this time is more abrupt and rougher ( I know him so I knew what to expect) but nothing too bad anyway. Soooo I might head on over to the tww thread, wish I could feel more positive. Good luck girls see some of you in the tww thread soon x
