Saffy: Yay your back!!! Yes you did tell me, but I guess I found out first hand he's a mongrel...but I guess I wont have to bother with him anymore ..
I know how you feel about everybody else and BFP's and Babies everywhere...I evev found myself saying the other day..oh for ****s sake how many bloody babies does Angelina Jolie need..enough already!!!..But then I think we don't know everybodies elses stories they may be battling the battle we all do, or worse ones....thats my bend on it anyway..makes me feel a bit better to think there are worse off people than me

Loops: That is disgusting behaviour on the DH's employers behalf...I would go to Job watch, even without a contract I think you'll find they will have some answer for you, or the ombudsman..(?) Its bad enough people have to work, but to be treated like that is the worst...good luck with that

Aimee: Doesnt your nurse or the scientist call you...but call girl!! we need to know LOL...cant wait for you to join us in the TWW thread...come over to the dark side ..that is fabulous news..OHSS and a transfer, how many have grown to blasto...yay ..keep us posted.

littlemissmountain: Good luck hope you find your happy place ..

tantee: Glad you transfer went well, come join us in the TWW thread..

    Welcome Moonie

Well AFM don't feel differant its kinda weird thinking that there may be something happening..but just taking it easy, and trying not to go mental.

Sorry for anyone I've missed...Thinking of you all...

    Hi all,

oneday - that certainly is a long time to wait to test. At Monash they test on 16dpo which if you have a blasty put back in is generally 11dpt. So i POAS @ 9dpt as i figured it should work by then, and it did. Everyone is different though and some dont like to POAS as it can cause more anxiety!! (like you need more!!). Also if you are having pains that can be a positive sign - i definitely had cramps on the transfer that worked and they were very similar to period pains.

Tantee - good luck with your tww! Big FX for you.
Aimee good luck with your transfer today!!

Springlola, lmm, saffy, Loops & KB - hope you are all well and things are goind well.
I hope you all get the news you want for christmas!!

Oneday - My nurse said that anytime they are dealing with the uterus you are likely to get some kind of cramping or slight bleeding as it is extremely sensitive and a lot of women will prematurely right their cycle off because of the symptoms. After the trauma of the last few weeks with meds and procedures I'm sure that it is normal for you to experience some sensitivity.

Little Miss Mountain - I understand what you mean about needing to take a step back. It can become all consuming. I hope you enjoy your time out and come back to us refreshed. Best wishes xx

Aimee - Did you call the clinic today? How are your embies doing?

Springlola - I hope your little one is progressing nicely. The waiting game is difficult.

JayeJaye - hope all is well with you, Feb will be here in no time at all. The crazy Christmas period is a great distraction.

AFM - The embryologist called today to say that they froze 4 blasties yesterday and then froze another 2 today (Day 6)! I am in total shock! I might hop over to the 2ww thread so that I don't drive you all crazy with my 2ww obsessing but will be checking in every day to check up on everyone.

    Hi everyone

Tantee - Yay for the great results! I like your quote too.

Springlola, cute user name, makes me think of dancing in the springtime! my nurse only rings me after fertilisation then its my job to call after 10, but we were out on the weekend and I forgot to call. My old clinic would phone each day and usually I'm waiting by the phone with baited breath (twice we haven't made it to transfer, it can be nerve wracking!) I'm really praying for good news for you just you esp after the horrible treatment you received!

AFM - am just about to jump into my first tww thread, am a little excited! On Saturday we had 6 day 3 embies frozen!!! Not sure how many will progress later on but wow, we've never had this many before. They grew 5 embies to day 5 (today) and 3 made it to blast, we had 1 4aa embie transferred and the other 2 frozen. I can't believe how much results can change each cycle this is our 4th stim cycle this year and we've never had these kinds of results before. FS still checked my 6 month pregnant bloated stomach and was still worried but I tried to hold it in (my stomach). Am trying not to get too excited as its a horrible let down but oh well!

Hi Jayejaye, oneday, lmm (just in case you're still here), saffy, loops & kaybee hope you're all going well!!!

oneday - hope everything goes well in the tww, it will drive you mad - every little twinge. If its any help on my last cycle when I got my bfp i had cramps, backache and was really emotional and I got a bfp and I was positive it was af coming. Hang in there!!

aimee - glad your transfer went ahead and all went well, this will be my 4th stim cycle this year and I am hoping I get something to freeze this time.

tantee - another tww lady, hope all goes well for you and try not to stress, great freeze results too

springlola - so glad everything worked out for you in the end, hope this cycle is your cycle!!

saffy - nice to see you back, hope you enjoyed your break and I know what you mean about pregnancy and babies being everywhere - it seems impossible to get away from. WHen do you think you will cycle again?

Hi Kaybee & Loops and anyone else I may have missed - hope you are all well

afm - had my 2nd scan today, have about 8-9 follies of varying size. FS has put puregon up from 250 - 300 and I have another scan Wed. EPU will be either Friday or Monday (hoping for Friday so the eggs don't get too old!!)

    Hi Lovely Ladies
Thanks for all of your support. DH and I have decided the main thing we'll worry about is getting his super as they havent been paying that either and that is defintely illegal not too.

Oneday ~ Im sorry you only got the one hun, I know the feeling but I only had the one ance and it did implant so stay positive and Im tight for you!

Tantee ~ wow that is excellent - very happy for you. Hope the lil one inside snuggles in nice and tight too FX'd!

LMM ~ enjoy a bit of a break hun and hope you can get into a better headspace, take care and hope to hear from you again in the future xo

Aimee ~ excellent results for you too, that is wonderful. Goodluck and tight for you as well

SpringLola ~ thanks for your wishes and advice. GL in the TWW, will be thinking of you with FX and TX'd tight.

JayeJaye ~ hi and thanks for your wishes. Hope you are well also.

nicoleh ~ Sounding good so far hun! All the best and FX'd for lots of great follies developing.

AFM ~ Still waiting for bloomin AF, Ive given up trying to keep track of where I am but Im about CD 40+ or something. One of the worst aspects of IVF is the way it mucks our bodies around

    CONGRATULATIONS KAYBEE!!!!!!!!

Fantastics levels too...WHOHOO!!! Are you having another follow up BT or are you just going to cruise along and wait for the scan? Bet you will have a smile on your face all weekend now!

Hi nicoleh - sorry to hear about how your employer treated you, but yeah...putting it nicely..."stuff em!" I am the same as you i cut my hours and got a much less stressful job while doing ivf (well my job now has absolutely NO stress, braindead work though!) It has made such a huge change in the way i cope with ivf. I just dont know how some women work full time in a stressful job and still manage to cope with all the emotions and stresses of ivf. Sometimes you just have to step back and re-evaluate priorities in life.
9 follicles is fantastic!! I only have 3 still and have to go for another scan on monday. This cycle is really slow compared to the others, usually i would be about to go into epu by now anyway, slow & steady i guess. Will be thinking of you on monday...everything crossed & in the Yogi position (ha ha)

Oneday - thanks so much for your PM...you are so sweet We all go through highs & lows on this journey, some days better than others, but somehow we manage to muster the strength to forge ahead and keep positive. I hope you are doing ok too hun? I read a great quote once..."You dont know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have"...we are all beautiful strong women here!

    Have a nice weekend everyone

    Congratulations Kaybee! that's fantastic news!

Nicole - hope your pickup goes really well. Why two triggers? I haven't heard of that before.

Yogi -hope your next scan goes well

Hi Aimee, loops, happybaby, oneday, tantee, and everyone I've missed! I think it's only been a week or so since I was last here but lots seems to be happening

I'm on a forced break at the moment (missed the Christmas cut off), but that's probably not a bad thing. I've been pretty flat after the was my last transfer ended, but I'm getting back to being ok again. One thing I'm feeling pretty good about though is I've quit my job! It wasn't an easy decision, but after 15 months of ivf, I'm ready to let some stress go.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Oh oneday thankyou for your kind words but i certainly dont feel very inspirational!!!....words like loser & failure more come to my mind!! I guess the thing is, just like life in general, you just never know what life is going to throw at you. You just have to deal with it the best you can, work with what you have and move forward as positively as you can.
As for donor sperm....we have used donor sperm all along. DH found out 5 years ago that he cant have biological children. It was devastating at the time and took about a year to come to terms with...but now I see family, children & relationships in general in a different light. Genetics definitely do NOT make a good parent. Genetics is still very important in understanding where you come from and discovering who you are as a person, which is why we totally agree with complete openness and telling our kids how they were "made"....but at the end of the day, on the flip side of that coin....it really doesn't matter because it all comes down to creating a beautiful happy family with total love & trust. I think also having had so long to realise that genetics is not the most important thing, we are very comfortable with adoption. We had talked about adoption even before we decided to try for children before we found out about DH....so its something that has been in the back of our minds for a very long time. In fact, it is going to be our next step (with or without giving birth)...it actually feels very right for us
Donor sperm or eggs is not for everyone, i guess it depends how much emphasis you place on your own genetics and how important it is to have "your own" baby with your genes. But for us, children are children everywhere no matter where they come from or whos genes they have....all they want, and deserve, is loving parents to nurture them, guide them, trust them and give them a happy healthy family environment. I believe trust & respect are the most important elements of any relationship (and of course love).....if you open your hearts and embrace children for who they really are then they will reciprocate that love & repect ten-fold!!

All the best for monday with your FS, great that you are thinking ahead and keeping positive, thats how this journey goes...one foot in front of the other...

nicoleh - What are you doing up so early!!! I hope you are feeling a bit better now. Let us know how your little embies are going? I'm sure you will have some very nice ones for sat. Are you puttin two back?

How is everyone else going? I'm not sure there are many of us here? I think everyone is winding down now for xmas (i think i am the last one to go for epu at my clinic tomorrow)
Have a good day ladies...another quote i always remember..."So often the greatest endings have the most difficult beginnings"

Hello ladies, well no christmas baby news for us this time round... I can't wait for 2011! Can anyone tell me, if best for fresh or frozen embryo transfers? I have four frozen and my doc all good to transfer two next time, but friends are saying I should try the fresh transfer again?!

hi everyone. I hope i'm joining the right 'group' I got a bit confused with all the different ones..so if there is a more appropriate one please let me know!!

DH and I have been trying for over 12months. and recently discovered his vasectomy reversal didn't work so we will have to go down the Assisted conception path. Our first appointment is booked for early Feb, but we are on the list to get in sooner if something comes up.

so, i guess our ttc is sort of on hold until the appointment. but i still want to be part of a group, esp. people who have been through this part before.

sending the best to everyone whereever they are in their journeys!!!
