Well, I'm on day 2 of my injections. DH has been good both times being very gentle doing them for me. I am having 37.5iu daily until I go and see the FS again next Tues for an U/S and see if that dosage is enough. FX'd that is is...
ok, that is it. I am turning my computer off until next Thursday. My obsession with researching early pregnancy signs and analysing my body is getting ridiculous.

I am a new user and wanted to join this chat thread so I could talk to people going through the same stuff. I am 34, BF is 28 and we have been TTC for over 12mths now. We are one of those unexplained couples where there is not good reason why we can't fall ourselves. Well it now seems that it is just as hard with the help of IUI. I am half way through my TWW and finding it a bit easier this time as it is #3. I have hit the hard stage though where I am questioning everything that goes on in my body. I am hoping the next week goes fast, I so want to see positive this time but I try not to get my hopes up so the dissapointment is not so bad.

How is everyone else going?
AF is technically due tomorrow if I am on a 28 day cycle, however my body tends to do it's own thing. I was triggered on day 11 so this will probably be the shortest cycle I have had in forever. I am not really sure how I am feeling at the moment, sometimes it feels like AF will come soon but then other times I feel nothing. I have had absolutely no breakouts (zits) or migraines either which is usually a tell tale sign for me that AF is on its way. So fingers crossed no AF and I get a positive BT on Wednesday.
If anyone else out there has some positive results please let us know, I really need some inspiration to keep going.
nellym - im about to start our 1st iui journey in roughly 10days... just waiting for AF. Im sorry this wasnt your month, i have everything crossed that Sept is a positive month for both of us! Look after yourself xx

AFM it has been one of the busiest weeks in quite a while. My FS app tues morning went great, he was very happy with the injections and in his own words "you have a ripper of an egg on your left ovary, that must be my ovary of the week". I also had 2 good eggs in my right ovary as well. Which I was really excited about as I had it in my head that the injections weren't going to work and I would have to have more of them. Anyway I had the trigger shot which OMG it hurt and then go home and DTD (sorry TMI) as I was fertile for the next 48 hrs. So hence the absence of my being on here as I have been busy . So now I have to wait again and do a POAS test in 2 weeks to see if it worked .
Anyway, I am going away down the Gold coast for the weekend with DH for our anniversary. So hope everyone has a great weekend and we get some BFP's on here soon. Babydust to everyone.
T-hopes - Good luck with your TWW. Did the FS say that both your follicles would be released?? Im curious as when I went for my scan I only had one that was 'size' but my FS has never discussed the option of producing more than 1 follicle. What meds are you on? Im on clomid, trigger shot, pregnyl. (want to make sure im not missing out on anything LOL)
AFM - Yes I still did get IUI with the low count. Our FS didnt really give us an option not to and if I hadnt asked questions and then researched my DH's count then we wouldnt have known it was so low..so who knows!! I suppose he is just trying to give us hope. Positive is they got the timing perfect as an hour after the IUI I ovulated with shocking pains (had to lie down with hot packs) and we also DTD that night and the next morning with the theory of flooding the egg LOL So although I know my chances are slim Im thinking positive as after all, you only need one

My FS thinks I may have O'ed with 2 eggs.... I had heaps of follicles and 3 dominant by day 8 by one of them slowed down... Im guessing it was 2 cause by day 11, one was 17mm and the other 13mm and they still had 4days worth of growin cause i had IUI on CD15! I had massive O pain too! Mine was about an hour b4 procedure so feel confident with our timing too!! I was on Puregon Injections - 50units from Day 3 - Day 13, Triggered with Ovidrel at 10.30pm Day 13 and IUI Day 15... Im not on Pregnyl but im on 400mg Progesterone Pessaries for 15 days! My god, they make me cranky!!!! Poor DH!!!
I had a lap, hysteroscopy and dye study done in May and FS found i had moderate endo and PCO, DH has good sperm count but 92% abnormalities!
Albi, well just keep thinking positive, I think it is all we can do in our journeys. Like you said, all it takes it one. On the follie topic, it all depends on how many you produce, as you are only on clomid, then your FS might think you won't produce more then 1 egg. I'm on clomid 50mg, Gonal F injections (this cycle 75 units), then trigger shot so I'm a higher risk of producing multiple follicles (any more than 3 and they will cancel the cycle). GL with your TWW.
T-Hopes, yay on getting the timing, now all you need to do is wait another 7 days and you will know.
AFM I had my trigger shot this morning so will be busy jumping DH for the next 48 hrs (sorry TMI), so this will be a quick one from me, lol. Hope you are all trying to stay positive.
T-hopes, I see you got a BFP. COONGRATULATIONS, so happy for you. You have given me much hope, I wish you are H&H pregnancy. Please keep us posted.
Albi and Epayne - how are you both going with your 2ww? you must bet getting close to the end. good luck to both of you.
AFM - had my 10 day scan today which was actually day 11. I have 2 little follicles on my right side 12mm and 13mm, I go back on Thursday for another scan and hopefully the trigger. All going to plan we do the IUI on Friday, then settle in for the 2ww.
thanks nellyM! we soooooo excited!!! and in complete shock that it worked 1st time!!!!!!!!! We got our bfp on saturday, 12dpo! i tested on 9dpo and bfn so i was really not expecting it!!!! yay for 2 follies!!! please keep us posted!
i have my blood test tomorrow then a scan at 6wks... so scared xx

AFM - Had 2nd round of IUI on Friday, 14dpo. Great news, DH had 11 million washed sperm, yay! yay! and I had a nice big follicle...so here's hoping! Start pregnyl injections tomorrow (again!!). Regarding IVF, FS said whenever we want but said because DH had a good count this time we should keep going till end of the year and then start IVF in new year. Sounds ok to me, feeling hopefully LOL (until AF arrives )
Joining in as we have commenced our IUI journey - started injecting tonight. I think it took me about 15 mins to work myself up to do the injection! lol
Nellym oh poor on AF showing up I was sure that you were going to post great news this month. FX'd for next time.
Albi that is fantastic news, and yes keep thinking positive. Just a little question, is the pregnyl injections different to the gel?? (I will prob find out at the FS tomorrow anyway).
Rhi welcome to this thread (oh and I'm from the clomid, metimorfin thread as well). best of luck with the jabbing, DH had to do mine, but then started to hurt when he did a few so I do them now, and it still takes me a little bit to stick them in, lol.
Well off to the FS tomorrow so will have more to update then, but I just wanted to drop in to see how everyone was.
