thank you bec, i must say though due to lots going on in my life other than ttc my mind has been in other places during this months cycle which i have found really good as i haven't found myself to be as stressed.

in relation to gaining weight on clomid i have put on about 6kgs and that is with talking the insulin tablets as well. which isn't a good thing as my fs wants me to loose quite a bit of weight and of course i do. when thinking about it i have put quite a bit of weight on since going off the pill.

was just wondering if anyone has experienced any signs of oing while on clomid, i have been told that it plays around with the usual signs. i haven't tried the temping thing as i haven't gotten into the whole idea and i don't exactly sleep well at night/ morning and they say to take it when you wake from a solid sleep. i tried the otk test last month but none showed i was going to ovulate. a few days ago i had a few small cramps and if i was going off what my cm is like then i actually might of ovulated. so yes the weekend was spent dtd with dh, which i don't think he minded. if i had a normal cycle then this would be the time in the cycle that i should be ovulating. well anyway after babbling on, i was just wondering what you think about charting with clomid and what people use to chart theirs.

    well lots of to everyone.

    Hi Liz

I chart and do OPK's while on clomid. I normally get O pains around CD15, 16 & 17. How often are you doing your OPK's you maybe missing your surge and that's why you're not getting a + OPK. I normally take my OPK's at around 6pm. It's been aurate for me that was as well as having my temp rise. Perhaps you need to start testing 2 times a day once at around 2pm (that's the ideal time recommended) and then one later at say 6pm - 7pm?

    Liz,
I initially did opk's and once a day was enough for me. Maybe you o later than you thought? It's not unusual if your cycle was long before for it to still be long. For the first few months on clomid, I opk'd every day for about 14 days. Now I can just tell from o pains like porsche and EWCM. Maybe give porsche's idea a whirl too, with the twice a day thing? It is tricky. Would your FS do scans for you if you asked?

Thanks Porsche and Bec, will try the opk's next cycle twice a day for a longer period if this one doesn't work. last cycle i did them from day 10 to 17 and it didn't show a + at all. this time i got a small cramp on day 12 and my CM seemed to be a positive sign on the same day so :fingerscrossed:. i was just that busy and didn't have the chance to go and buy a opk test so thought we would just dtd at any time we can. lol...
i was going to ask my fs about bt etc as others i talk to seem to be having them to check their levels, but my fs didn't discuss having bt at all, only when he brought up trying the fsh injections he talked about having bt.

    Hi Ladies

Liz - I buy my OPK's from Lullaby Conceptions on the net. They are sooooo much cheaper thatn stor bought. And I've never had a problem with them. Maybe give them a whirl? Much better on the hip pocket.

Bec hows the concoctions going? Gosh the stuff we do? I'm on a bunch of supplements the IVF Dr recommended so is DH.

AFM I've got spotting! Yay Af is around the corner. I'm soo excited!

Yah, Porsche! Who's have thought we'd be so excited that AF was arriving. Hope the next cycle is a goody for you!!!!

AFM: I'm alittle confused...sorry for TMI but how long would you expect to get EWCM for? I was sure on Sunday/Moday that I had ovulated becasue I had all the symptoms I usually get: heaps of EWCM (ewww...sorry!), crampy pains etc, but I've still got some CM and it's Thursday! I've never had this 'symptom' for so long IYKWIM. I'm very confused! I'm assuming o was Monday, but who knows? Gosh this TTC is hard work! Might book in for BT on Tuesday (should be 8DPO, I think) to see what's going on.

Anyway now I've grossed everyone out, I'm off to watch Glee...
    Bye

    Hi Bec

Are you sure you o'd Monday? Maybe you O'd a little later? I think the BT could be a good idea. I usually have EWCM 2 or 4 days leading up and then nothing.

Hi all! Just jumping in here-
Bec- I can get ewcm for a couple of days after o sometimes. I usually use temp to confirm. But it is possible to have lingering fertile cm.

Liz- definitely ask about the bt. My fs won't prescribe clomid without monitoring with bt as he says success rates if you just go away and take it on your own are not great compared to taking it with bt and monitoring. I think it is a good idea when you first start the clomid anyway so you know what's what. I started my first pill last night and go back next fri for my first blood test- 3-4days after I finish the pills.

Afm - I guess I should say hi. Just found this clomid forum so thought I would pop in. I have just started my first round of clomid yesterday and today I have noticed I am Very cranky!! Lol although that could be result of a late night... It's kind of exciting to start the clomid and think I will likely be pg in 3-6 months but also a bit scary because of the 'what if it doesn't work' factor.
    fingers crossed for everyone!!!

    Hi Hannahfroodoo

Welcome. LOL about being cranky. I'm sooo cranky on clomid I'm a total nightmare. I hope your stay is very short and sweet. I'll be satring my 8th clomid cycle just as soon as Af shows her head.

    Good Luck!

Hi Hannahfroodoo! GL with the first round of clomid, hopefully the side effects don't casue you too much hassle. Take it at night, it really helps with the hot flushes!

Thanks for the info on EWCM Porsche & Hannahfroodoo. Porsche- I'm not sure I o'd, cause the damn stuff hasn't gone yet. On clomid I always had 3 days max of EWCM, so it was easy to narrow it down, but I'm realy not sure. Guess we'll just keep b'ding and hope for the best!

Where is everyone? It's been very quiet in here...

    Hi ladies

Now that I found this thread I wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

I started my first cycle of Clomid on Thursday, so pill number 3 is due tonight. I don't have PCOS but my FS has suggested clomid because my (first) monitored cycle showed no movement in my levels up to CD8. I know my ovulation has been all over the place - anywhere from CD6 to CD16 - so I am hoping that clomid might regulate that a bit. We're going to try this for a while - maybe 3 cycles before going back to IVF. Oh and I have pregnyl injections for post O as well. I'm not sure if I have noticed any side effect yet, but I am worried about the possible weight gain - I already need to lose about 6kg - the last thing I need is to gain more weight!

Hannah: Welcome to the thread. I know what you mean about being cranky. I was so emotional on my first cycle of clomid. I had a breakdown tears and all over the dishes (yes the dishes) , i now can laugh about it though and hot flushes, I got them alot. But like Porsche said they don't last for long thankfully. I think that it is quite strange though my second cycle of clomid I had no side affects at all, which I thought it was going to be the opposite way since the dosage was doubled.

Chez67: Welcome this is a great thread to be on. I know what you mean about the possible weight gain, especially when you are trying to loose the weight, its a bit of a catch 22. Best of luck though with ttc.

AFM: I'm now half way through my 2ww and now have a cold But on a happier note I became and Aunty again during the week, my wonderful sister gave birth to her first child a beautiful little boy. Which keeps me thinking positive thoughts as she concieved him through assisted conception. I just keep thinking positively and know our day will come when we will be holding our little bundle.

    GL to everyone,

    Liz

    Hi girls!
Welcome Chez! I hope clomid does the trick for you. Like many girls in here I have PCOS, but clomid has helped regulate my cycle. I've gone from no o to o'ing on CD21 ish. Not great but better than nothing! It sounds like you've had quite a journey to this point and I really hope you get your BFP soon. I didn't find the weight gain too bad untill I'd been on clomid for almost a year, so 3 months should be ok.

epayne- bugger about the cold! I've finally gotten over my tonsilitis, it's just another thing to worry about, hey? Exciting news about being an aunty again, especially when it was a bit of a journey for your sister too byu the sound of it. I've been to the births of both my sisters babies births and it is amazing! GL 2WWing!

Porsche- started clomid yet hon? Any symptoms after a month off?

Rhi- good luck for the lap tomorrow. Hope all goes well, let us know how you go.

Hannahfroodoo- how's the clomid going? you travelling ok? the first month can be a bit hit and miss, I know my dosage had to be increased before I o'd and that's quite normal so don't worry. are you on 50mg?

Hi everyone else. We miss you! pop in and say hi.

AFM: 6 or 7 DPO I think and BB's are starting too hurt. I get that when AF is on the way too, so I'm not counting it as a pg sign. I don't think this cycle will be mine, since this is straight after my m/c and I'm not sure if the timing of BDing was quite right. But time will tell...

    Stay well everyone,
    Bec

Bec: My fingers are crossed and I'm sending positive thoughts your way. I got my hopes up a few months ago as my BB's were more sore than usual and was due for AF, but it was just my hormones I guess.

Porsche: good luck for this cycle hopefully it will be your turn this one.

AFM: I am staring to feel much better today have rested for most of the day and went to bed early last night. Although I woke up this morning alone, as apparently I was snoring quite bad when my DH came to bed and so he decided to leave me be and sleep on the pull out sofa bed, Oops!!!
I don't know if it's becuase i had such a short AF cycle (only 4 days this cycle and quite light and last cycle was 7 days quite heavy) that this TWW seems to be taking forever to finish, that or I am just to eager this cycle to see what happened.

    GL everyone,

    Liz

    Helloo Everyone.

Sorry, I've been MIA, things get pretty hectic here sometimes. I get on here though and have a quick read through but don't actually get around to posting.

Hello and welcome to hannahfroodoo and Chez67.

RhiChiChi: GL for your lap today.

epayne: I get alot of lower back pain and abdominal pain while on clomid around O. The OPK's that I have brought said that you shouldn't use them while on medications (such as clomid) so I haven't given then a whirl as of yet but I notice that quiet a few other's on here use them. I haven't asked my OB about it though. I suppose it wouldn't hurt. In these situations I guess your prepared to give anything a go.

Bec: I get sore BB too when I am getting AF. The first round of Clomid though I took it as a sign of PG as they were really sore, I've now just come to realise that the Clomid worsen's the symptoms, lol.

AFM: Nothing new to tell. I have my cd12 scan on thursday so until than, nothing to report on. I acutually had my firt little melt down while on clomid the other day. Dont know if I should blame it on the clomid or just the stress of everything.

Did anyone watch Sunday Night last night. It had stuff on premature babies on there, I was in tears majorly. So sad, but so amazing at the same time.
