Hi girls!
Welcome Chez! I hope clomid does the trick for you. Like many girls in here I have PCOS, but clomid has helped regulate my cycle. I've gone from no o to o'ing on CD21 ish. Not great but better than nothing! It sounds like you've had quite a journey to this point and I really hope you get your BFP soon. I didn't find the weight gain too bad untill I'd been on clomid for almost a year, so 3 months should be ok.
epayne- bugger about the cold! I've finally gotten over my tonsilitis, it's just another thing to worry about, hey? Exciting news about being an aunty again, especially when it was a bit of a journey for your sister too byu the sound of it. I've been to the births of both my sisters babies births and it is amazing! GL 2WWing!
Porsche- started clomid yet hon? Any symptoms after a month off?
Rhi- good luck for the lap tomorrow. Hope all goes well, let us know how you go.
Hannahfroodoo- how's the clomid going? you travelling ok? the first month can be a bit hit and miss, I know my dosage had to be increased before I o'd and that's quite normal so don't worry. are you on 50mg?
Hi everyone else. We miss you! pop in and say hi.
AFM: 6 or 7 DPO I think and BB's are starting too hurt. I get that when AF is on the way too, so I'm not counting it as a pg sign. I don't think this cycle will be mine, since this is straight after my m/c and I'm not sure if the timing of BDing was quite right. But time will tell...
Bec: My fingers are crossed and I'm sending positive thoughts your way. I got my hopes up a few months ago as my BB's were more sore than usual and was due for AF, but it was just my hormones I guess.
Porsche: good luck for this cycle hopefully it will be your turn this one.
AFM: I am staring to feel much better today have rested for most of the day and went to bed early last night. Although I woke up this morning alone, as apparently I was snoring quite bad when my DH came to bed and so he decided to leave me be and sleep on the pull out sofa bed, Oops!!!
I don't know if it's becuase i had such a short AF cycle (only 4 days this cycle and quite light and last cycle was 7 days quite heavy) that this TWW seems to be taking forever to finish, that or I am just to eager this cycle to see what happened.
Sorry, I've been MIA, things get pretty hectic here sometimes. I get on here though and have a quick read through but don't actually get around to posting.
Hello and welcome to hannahfroodoo and Chez67.
RhiChiChi: GL for your lap today.
epayne: I get alot of lower back pain and abdominal pain while on clomid around O. The OPK's that I have brought said that you shouldn't use them while on medications (such as clomid) so I haven't given then a whirl as of yet but I notice that quiet a few other's on here use them. I haven't asked my OB about it though. I suppose it wouldn't hurt. In these situations I guess your prepared to give anything a go.
Bec: I get sore BB too when I am getting AF. The first round of Clomid though I took it as a sign of PG as they were really sore, I've now just come to realise that the Clomid worsen's the symptoms, lol.
AFM: Nothing new to tell. I have my cd12 scan on thursday so until than, nothing to report on. I acutually had my firt little melt down while on clomid the other day. Dont know if I should blame it on the clomid or just the stress of everything.
Did anyone watch Sunday Night last night. It had stuff on premature babies on there, I was in tears majorly. So sad, but so amazing at the same time.
Hope - GL for your scan Thursday. Do you do those every cycle to check for follies or something? Good to know clomid worsens AF symptoms! I won't be reading too much into sore Bbs this cycle then! I didn't watch Sunday night. I always miss interesting things like that! It is so so amazing what they can do for prem babies now, huh? We had a little tour of the special care nursery at the hospital when I was pg with my twins and the size of those tiny babies is just impossible.
Porsche - hooray for pill popping! I hope 8 is your lucky number and you don't have to go back for another clomid cycle.
Liz - LOL about your snoring! Glad you're starting to feel better though. I have had a cold precede my BFP both pregnancies and a couple of friends have said the same. So now if I get a cold during the TWW, I always get excited and think I am pg. Of course, mostly it's just a regular cold. But you never know!I hope your TWW speeds up a bit anyway. GL! hahaha. meltdown over the dishes, huh? not so silly - lots of days i feel like having a meltdown over the dishes myself!! Lucky for my DH I haven't had any clomid meltdowns as yet.
Bec - Good luck for your tww. I have heard the cycle after m/c is supposed to be a good cycle to conceive?
Chez - good luck with your first clomid cycle. I'm sure you would be over the moon if clomid did the trick and you didn't have to go back on IVF. It's my first clomid cycle too. I'm taking pill 5 tonight so looks like we will be pretty close together for this cycle. GL!
afm - I'll be done with my clomid pills tonight so I'm crossing everything that it works. I'm on the 50mg which I hope will be a good dose - especially as I've hardly noticed any side effects. I've been a bit cranky but not too bad and a few hot flushes but totally managable. I always ovulate every cycle on my own but I am all over the place, sometimes Oing on CD25, sometimes on CD55 and anywhere in between. The FS I am seeing seems to think uncoordinated ovulating means that the egg and hormones are not right for supporting a pregnancy which is leading to early miscarriages. So with any luck 50mg will be enough to regulate my cycles and get a good egg! I don't know what to expect which is kind of bizarre since I am so used to checking for fertile signs and can usually work out when I am about to ovulate. This time around everything is all mixed up.
Hope, OMG yes I did watch Sunday night last night and I balled my eyes out. I was beautiful and so emotional all at the same time. They were so adorable and so brave, little miracle babies.
Hannahfroodoo & Liz, well I have never heard of it before but I had a cold right before I found out I was pg, fingers crossed for you ladies.
Bec, GL in your 2WW hun, hope it flies by for you and you get a wonderful outcome.
Hi to everyone else.
AFM, off to get our 12 week scan next Friday, cant believe we are almost at that point already, it has flown.
GL to the 2WW’ers and fx’ed for those trying to catch eggs, I’ll be lurking!
I get cranky and hot flushes on clomid as well. Ahh the joys of it all. With all those hormones running rampant through us it's no wonder we are cranky lol.
Are you using OPK's at all? That may help you to know when you are o'ing. I'm also on 50mg. I have been for all of my 8 cycles lol. I'm a bit concerned at the moment though because I did O on my own last cycle post M/C and I'm worried I may o on my own and with the clomid producing multiple follicles? I know that's a risk any way but I wonder what the research says. Oh did I mention twins is on both sides?
