Hey Rhi, yeah I was quite similar to Mez, I got my AF early infact, it started about 2 days after my lap. I'm not sure if that is normal though, are you able to call your FS? Were you on Clomid prior to the lap? Do you normally ovulate without clomid? Maybe you will need drugs to kick your cycle going again. Even after my lap I still went back on Clomid and it was the 3rd cycle that we concieved. I have every believe that this is going to be your answer. Sorry about all the questions hun! GL Xxoo

Oh yeah....I should have said I was back on clomid for my first full cycle after my lap (the one we conceived on). I was only on 25mg though which was great as no side effects and happy to report no octuplets in my belly!

    Hey all,

Liz - GL for this month on Clomid FX

Thanks Mez & Keli for replying..... AF has 'sort of' shown today CD 32. I say sort of cos it is just the brown mucky stuff not red blood (sorry if TMI). I actually am under the care of my OBS/GYNO until I see the FS in July but since AF is here I won't bother to call him. About Clomid - I usually had a cycle of btw 28-29 days. I stopped taking it the cycle prior to my lap & haven't continued the reason being is 1. I just had enough of the side effects and I would have thought that if Clomid was going to work it would have in the 6 months I was taking it & 2. OBS/GYNO didn't give me another script when I saw him after my lap. He said he didn't want to prescribe anything incase it interfered with what the FS will want to do??? I O every cycle on Clomid (50mg) and according to the lap pics I got it showed I was just about to O.

    Hi girls,
I almost went a week without visiting! OMG that's the longest I think!

Jules- your poor sister! Application are hard enough to write without having to worry about reports too! Hope she got her job. Glad AF showed up, and you can start afresh. Hopefully you'll be like Mez, Porsche & Keli are fall pretty soon, and you own't need IVF. After my polypescomy (D&C as well) I fell that next round too, so it must be the clean out! FX for you!

Mez- so nice to hear from you. I can't believ you are 16 weeks already. Gosh you'll be half way in about a minute! So glad all is well. I might check out those books too. I actually perused the Trying to conceive one in a bookshop the other day, so I might go back and get it!

Hi Keli! How's it all going?

Liz- Split shifts-what a pain! Did they up your clomid this time becasue you didn't o? I can't remember. Hopefully AF is here soon and you can begin again. Hopefully no symptoms for you!

Kris- the injections weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. But if you can avoid it, do!

Hi everyone else, hope you're all doing well, and waiting for BFP's!

AFM: Well AF has finally arrived! I'm going to start clomid on CD3 this time instead of CD5 in a hope that I o a bit earlier. I was reading a bit on late o and 'old eggs'. Since I o really late, maybe that effects the m/c? Anyone have any advice on this? I went to the GP today and got the referral to my new FS and he agreed it was time to get a second opinion. He said he would forward any test results she wanted, but he suggested that it might be best to start from scratch and get everything retested anyway. I wish my GP was my FS becasue he's so thorough, and he was so nice and caring! oh well...hopefully the new FS will be better.

Sprinkling you all liberally with Babydust!

    Hey all,

Bec - Thanks for your well wishes -I hope we don't have to go down the IVF path but I really want another baby!

In relation to your q.... I have heard that your luteal phase needs to be at least 10 days long otherwise your body does not produce enough prog to sustain a preg,so not sure if that relates to you or not? If you are oing 'late' how long until AF shows?

    Hi Ladies

Gosh Bec I wish I could stay away for a week. I can't help myself I have to check in. I'm trying to give myself a break from all this but alas I have failed miserably.

I have alwasy taken my clomid from CD2 and It hasn't made me O any sooner. The very first time I started clomid I took it from CD5 and I O'd late as well. I don't think taking it earlier in your cycle would make you O any sooner well it didn't in my case. And it's interesting what you said about "old eggs". I've never thought about that. interesting.

Thanks for your responses girls. It was only that I was doing my regular internet research and typed into google about late o. Rhi- my luteul phase is the only thing about my cycle that is normal, usually eaxctly 14 days from o.
Have a great weekend girls. I'm off the curl up with my wheatbag and hope I can avoid taking Panadeine Forte to get to sleep (painful period from the Primolut again). Maybe the nurofen will kick in soon, and I'll be right. Gosh I sound like such a sook!
Rug up my Victorian friends, it's bloody cold! Everyone else, I hope it's warmer where you are!

Bec - hopefully the nurofen kicked in and you got a good night's sleep. Yep, my FS upped clomid to 150mg this cycle as I haven't o'd yet on it. He was going to start FSH injections, but he is on annual leave at the end of June and that is when he has to monitor me, so he has put it off for this cycle. Our fingers are crossed that we won't have to do them, but in the back of my mind I think we are going to have to.

AFM - I'm still waiting for AF to arrive, but it took 10 days to arrive last cycle so it might take up to wed to arrive. I think that I did pretty well with my split shifts, I was in bed by 9pm sleeping everynight but wasn't feeling to tired and grumpy, only one week to go on them so hopefully will feel the same. Well I was a bit naughty today, I got given 2 free tickets to the Pregnancy, Babies and children expo, I was wanting to take my sis-in-law but she still isn't up to doing much (only 2 wks since her c-section). So DH braved the crowds with me and went. I got a few bits and pieces on info that I wanted, but was a little dissapointed with it though, I thought that I would get alot more on car safety, prams and stuff, but there wasn't much and most of the stalls were the same thing (sorry for the little rant). Well I better go and start dinner.

Sending lots of babydust everyone's way.
