Im hearing you girls, it feels like time is going backwards i keep waking up thinking i am a day ahead and then realise im not aaargh...
Is anyone doing anything different to try to make them stick??? I have accupuncture and on alot of progesterone and blood thinners but apart from that avoiding coffee and all forms of caffeine..
Fingers crossed for all of us xx
-
Dinnie - :happyforyou: Congratulations, that's great news. Best wishes for H&H 9 months.
Blossom - I also pulled out all the stops this time with acupuncture, lost of rest, no running this time, striving for a 'zen' like state at work... I can't recommend anything else though i'm afraid...just lots of positive thinking.
KellyD - give yourself a few more days, if AF isn't due until Sunday that still a good sign. Fx for you.
Sweetie - I feel your pain of waiting
AFM - well, I was at the movies on Tuesday night and was suddenly in such excruciating pain and breaking out in a sweat and all nauseus I had to leave half way through - DH came and picked me up and I was in sobs of tears - bloody crinone! It's the first time I've lost it since starting the cycle, only now fully realising what a strain this all is. Couldn't sleep at all Tuesday night, was climbing the walls in pain and felt literally like ripping my uterus out - this was nothing like cramps, more like contractions. So, emotionally low, I caved in and POAS on Wednesday...and +tive. Didn't trust it, so tried again this morning and +ive again. We're in shock, DH and I were given less than 1% of a chance to have a child together (we still have our donor sperm in back-up storage), and it might just be happening. Hanging out for BT tomorrow before I truly accept it.
-
wow lieve i have everything crossed for you, as we have been down that path and are now using donor sperm! Miracles do happen. Keep us posted.
x
-
Thanks Blossom. I think it's an especially long and stressful journey for couples like us. I read your donor is also from o/s - known or unkown? Ours is a friend of DH, who came out to Oz last year to do all this for us...we felt a bit weird telling him last week that this time the biopsy was successful, but he's been absolutely lovely and excited for us (after all we put him through!).
-
Hi
Lieve ours is unknown. It certainly is a really hard journey.
AFM I just poas and i know it was to early but it was -tive....aaaarrrgh! I have been having cramping etc and as i am on progesterone i dont get my AF still i stop all the drugs.
My transfer was last Friday so 6 days past transfer but i am also on pregynl and lots of progesterone so i would have thought that the pregynl may have shown up maybe as well... But no only one big fat line!
Not due for BT till next friday i am praying that they are going to stick but unfortunately i shouldnt have done it as i feel sooooo negative and depressed now.
-
Lieve,
I'm so happy for you!!!! Congrats!!   It sounds like a miracle :) So BT will be tomorrow? Good luch with that!
You have really strong symptoms, wow!!
Blossom,
That is what I did too, lots of rest, no coffee or tea, no strenuous exercises, healthy food, lots of vitamins. Good luck!!!
KellyD,
Don't give up, I think it's too early to test if your BT is next week only. Just keep up and I wish a huge BFP for you next week!!
Wantaminime,
Thank you for your kind words :) I'm sending you lots of baby dust for your next cycle!!!
AFM - I still do not have symptoms, only I feel a bit tired. I hope that is normal!!!
-
Hi all,
Blood test results in and it is a BFP!! HcG is 550, which I think is good, at least I don't have to do any more tests until the scan at 6 weeks. Incredible, this is a miracle, after 3 years of trying & 2 years of IVF finally we're a step closer to our dream. Now we get to take ourselves away for a week and let it all sink in.
Wishing you all lots of :bluedust:. The support here has been wonderful.
-
That is soooo exciting for you! It just goes to show that miracles do happen.
Bet you cant wipe the smile off your face!
Big congrats
x
-
2 days till BW!
Lieve, congrats on your BFP! Great to read the 2WW stories to keep you going... My BW Monday morning will get into work super early so can go to the testing centre for 7am... I will be finishing work at 12, already got the ok from the boss. I've been told the fertility clinic usually call around lunch time with the results. I don't want to be at work, just in cases... Going to a party tonight, I'm the driver so no drink, haha. Oh well, got to give the body a break.
Baby dust everyone.
Susan
-
Lieve: Big congrats on your BFP and those numbers are super super fantastic, with DD mine were 305 so 550 is awesome.
Well back from Melbourne and I'm exhausted.... did another POAS tonight (13dpo) and still a big "-tive" so now I'm more than 100% sure that I'm out. I've been getting lots of cramping and discomfort still so I'm not looking forward to AF arriving as I know it is going to be a doosy. Still gotta do BT on Tuesday but if AF comes earlier than then will ring the clinic and go in earlier.
Good luck to our remaining TWW'ers, I so hope this cycle is the one for you all and hopefully I'll be back here again soon and by then all of you will be in the pg thread.
-
Congratulations to Dinnie and Lieve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! whoo hoo girls.
I'm popping in just to repeat what you both have already said, that cramping and bloating that you get soooo concerned about is not always AF...... that's the cruel trick in this journey, it can go either way with the symptoms being so similar. I had ALL my usual cramping and bloating at all the right times too but got a BFP.
Hang in there girls, it's unfair how long it takes, but sending sticky vibes to you all. Hope to see you all in the pregnant after LTTC thread soon x
-
Hi all, got BFP today!! Hubby doesn't want me to tell anyone but I really want to let my mum know! Blood test level 2076, not really sure what that means, but have a second blood test on Thursday... So still early days.
Baby Dust to everyone.
-
Congrats Sweetie thats great! HCG level is great!
AFM Struggling big time this week. I have BT on friday but have POAS today and '-tive' so bit disappointed and deflated right now! We have no frozen embies so we have to do fresh cycles each time, aaarggh!!!
Anyway still smiling and will try to stay positive for the rest of the week but doesnt look good for me, next time?
Goodluck girls sending babydust
-
Thanks Blossom! Don't give up, stop the POAS wait till the BT. Though I understand what you going through, I was so negative during the 2WW, but didn't do the POAS and so today I was over the moon when I got the call. I do have a slight fever atm... Take care of yourself and I'm sending loadz of baby dust your way!
-
congratulations sweetie!!!!!!!! wow that's a great hCG figure. my first BT was 200, twins for you maybe??? see you in the pregnancy after LTTC forum
-
Congrats Sweetie... Those numbers are awesome and usually you get high numbers like that with multiples, so maybe double trouble for you.
Well had my BT this morning so just waiting for the phone call to tell me what I already know...BFN. Hopefully we will be able to jump straight into out next FET cycle once AF arrives - strange she is not here yet as she has always arrived when I have had bad news in my previous cycles.
Blossom, I know what you are going through and I'm hoping you get your BFP on Friday.
And the result is in and as expected it is a BFN for us, the clinic even used the term "definately negative". So back to the drawing board and hopefully will be back in the TWW next cycle.
-
Hi Kelly,
sorry to hear your news...... fingers x you can go straight into another FET next month. hugs x
-
Kelly sorry to hear that hope your next transfer is the one!!
One more sleep for me. BT tomorrow, no symptoms at all so really praying that it is positive but have a feeling that its not!
-
Hi ladies just has an FET yesterday so hope you don't mind me joining you in here
-
Hi terry welcome its pretty quiet in here at the moment!!
Good luck with your 2ww!
Get my results today aarrgh the wait is killing me
As i suspected BFN for me so having a little break and start again in October!
Good luck girls lots of baby dust to you all
-
Yay im in the 2ww thread again!! hopefully the last time for a while . I had our last frozen embryo tranfered today it was a day 6 embryo. I had acupunctutre this morning before transfer and after and that too was great, very relaxing!! I had a blood test on saturday and today to check my progesterone levels as we were concerned i wasn't producing enough progesterone (doing a natural cycle) but both tests came back good so no progesterone support needed at this point and hopefully i wont need it if this embie works :crossfingers:. My blood test is 26th aug for results but due for AF on the 24th. I look forward to hearing from some other ladies in there 2ww :) xx
-
hi oneday it looks like its you and me in here my test is on the 25th so looks like we will be riding the rollercoaster together. I had acuputure too just before and just after this time and I must say I felt a lot better. I've done ti before but not so close to transfer as my regular acupunturist cant always fit me in but there is a place right across the road from the IVF clininc that just specialises in IVF clients so I went there an hour before transfer and then straight after I hope this has helped me
-
Hello Terry and Oneday
I'm also in the 2WW and and a HRT FET last Wed. I also had acupuncture before and after the transfer. It was my first FET and first time I've used acupuncture.
Terry I think we might have gone to the same acupuncture place. They were so nice fitting me in and when my appointment was an hour late.
My blood test is next Monday 23rd. Good luck to you both and everyone else in the 2WW.
:noaf:
-
welcome happybaby hopefully we can make it 3 from 3 in this thread they do say good luck comes in 3's. I went to a place in East melbourne just down the road from Melb IVF if you were there we may have crossed paths. Did you have a day 5 transfer is that why your test is earlier
-
Hi Terry Yes that's the place I went to. Serena was my therapist. I'm at Monash so I needed to catch a taxi back for the 2nd acupuncture session.
Yes mine was a 5 day transfer.
-
Well goodluck Terry and happybaby :) such a small world that you two are going to the same acupuncture place. Goodluck ladies and i hope we all get our BFP's!!
-
Hi all TWW'ers... hope I can join you all here..
I don't know how many times I have googled 'early pregnancy signs' today after I had a twinge in stomach and period pain feeling tonight. haha and it's only day 3 into the wait for me.. I am hoping it's implantation...
When can I do a test?????!!!!
-
Hi joeyme, welcome!!! They could possibly be pregnancy pains?? its hard to know isnt it, when i fell pregnant with my last cycle my pain actually stopped around the time implantation happened but then started again 3 days later, but my pains were from the medication (i think). I have done a home preg test as early as day 5 dpt and came up with a 2nd positive line but i know some women take longer for it to show up in their urine.
Does anyone know how long after tranfer implantation happens?
-
Morning ladies
Oneday from everything I've read implantation is suppose to occue anywhere between day 7 and day 10
Joeyme welcome to our thread. With reagrds to testing some women start testing really early just after implantation is suppose to have occurred but just be careful if you are going to test as some of the medications that are prescibed can also provide you with a false postive.
AFM hoping this little embie is really strong my dry cough has gotten worse to the point where I sent DH out last night to buy me some cough medicine I made sure to get him to stress to the pharmacists that I had had a transfer and was it safe to take
-
Morning
Welcome Joeyme. I hope you get your BFP.
I had some cramping and lower back ache last night which I was worried about but it could be the Crinone. Everything seems ok now.
AF turned up on day 7 past transfer during my last 2 cycles. Day 7 is tomorrow so I'm just hoping she stays away. My FS said implantation normally happens 7 days after transfer.
I'm undecided if I will test. I don't have any at home so I can't give in to the temptation.
-
Hi ladies is it really that late?? i thought it happened around 2-3 days after transfer? my last cycle when i concieved i think it did happen 2 days after transfer because all my pain stopped for 3 days but then started again 3 days later and i blammed the pain returning on my body rejecting it as i later miscarried, but maybe im wrong.
Actually i just rememered my nurse telling me when we had our first transfer that if it was going to implant it would implant in a few days, but i guess it may happen at different times too. Our embie went in still half un thawed because it was a day 6 embryo and they only get a day 6 one out that same day as transfer so not sure if this changes things either. I feel so differently about this cycle, im just so nervous about it working because i dont want to have 3-6 months off. Its funny how niave i was, firstly i thought id fall straight away and i also thought we would def get a baby out of our 4 blasty's and now im looking at going in for another STIM :( but im going to be positive and believe that this is going to be our time!
-
Oneday I think we are all quite naive when we start this process and we learn how hard it is along the way. Your right to stay positive hopefully this is it for you.
I got 9 eggs fertilised with my 1 and only stim and my FS said we would should definately get a postivie from it. Well I've had 1 fresh and 7 frozen cycles with 1 left so I hear you about panicing if this doesn't work. I was hoping to get a BFP sooner than this and have quite a few spare for number 2. Its now been a week since transfer and I really am not that hopefully I have been so sick and coughing so much it would be a miracle for this little to to have hung on
-
I hear you both. I was very naive as well for my first two stim cycles. Then getting pg naturally I thought I won't need IVF any more.
I'm not that confident about this cycle either. It's been a week and at least there's no sign of AF yet. I still have the full bloated feeling.
Terry there is still hope because once the embryo starts attaching it lowers the mums immunity so your more prone to catch a cold. When I fell pg I got a cold sore around the time of implanting. I also got some spotting and I haven't seen any. Although I'd probably freak out if I did.
Oneday I think my day 6 embie was a bit unthawed too. The embryologist said the middle part hadn't finished expanding but all the cells were alive. I hope you get your BFP and don't need another stim until TTC#2.
-
Happybaby I so hope your right that its the embryo that has caused my immune system to go down. Guess we are all starting to get nervous now cause the countdown is on. My normal AF is due to arrive this week but I know that with taking the pressaries it will be delayed. I also know that the last two cycles I have made it all the way to the BT but still got a BFP. The first time I was so excited cause i thought well AF hasn't arrived and its been 14 days only to be told that the pressaries etc can delay AF. Why does it have to be so hard. If this cycle doesn't work I think I will get tested for celaic disease saw on current affair last night that this can cause unexplained infertility I have had every other immune disease test so I figure one more cant hurt.
-
Thanks happybaby and Terry! it seems we all are feeling a bit down :( Im only 2 days in and im not feeling positive at all, im starting to feel like maybe i should have cancelled this cycle, on saturday i started to get lower back pain and then by sunday slight niggling cramping started (you would only know its there if monitoring) and iv had the cramping ever since and today is the first day i havn't had the back pain. The nurse thought that maybe the period like pains were due to low progesterone but iv had 2 BT's done and my levels are fine, im on a natural cycle so i can't blame any medication and AF is due on tues so the pain started a week and a half before im even due. Weird thing is iv experienced these same pains with my previous 3 cycles all the way through but always blammed the medication as this is my first natural cycle. Im so sorry to blabber on but im starting to really blame my self, instead of being so pushy all the time maybe i should have cancelled this month. My thoughton it is if my body is preparing for a period how can the embryo implant? I really hope you girls are feeling better then me. Terry i got a bad cold a week after my last transfer and was wondering why i was taking so long to recover and then found out i was pregnant, so don't stress it could be a good thing xx
-
Graet lot we are in this thread. Oneday I too sometimes get little niggles and back pain when I do cycles thinking its AF but too early to be AF. I think that our bodies are trying to do the right thing and hold onto that little embie and push it up to snuggle in. Hopefully thats what your feeling and this time it did implant. Don't beat yourself up and regret having another cycle straight after especially since its natural. Think that if is wasn't being done through IVF you still would have tried naturally with DH?
AFM this cough is killing me it flairs up each morning and every night night is definately worse and last night was a disaster. I was coughing so hard that I vomitted twice and now all I can think about is that my little embie has to be so strong to survive all this. Not really positive at the moment think I will cave in and do a POAS this Sunday just to put myself out of my misery
-
hey Terry thanks, you poor thing your cough must not be nice at all. But dont stress about the embryo, when i had my cold last time and was down i used to think of things like- if a person doing drugs and drinking can concieve then whats a cold? Like my DH said if its ment to be it will be so i think we all need to stop giving our selves a hard time because we dont deserve the extra stress. Iv also been thinking about doing a POAS on the w/e, i will be 5dpt and i did one before at that stage and it showed up but im just not sure if its better to do it or just wait as i know if its negative i will be a mess. Let us know how you go xxxx
-
Hi girls. I'm not feeling so positive today either. I didn't sleep well and I really don't feel UTD at all. This waiting is starting to get to me. I've decided I'm not going to POAS and wait for the BT results.
Terry I hope your cough is getting better. Yes a cough is nothing compared to some things people put their bodies through when they don't know they're UTD.
Oneday as Terry said you would've been trying naturally anyway and an IVF cycle increases your chances. The cramping does sound strange before the transfer especially as you're not on any meds this time. Do you think it could be your digestion and bowels? I've noticed mine have been cramping a bit. It's hard because we're listening out to everything that's going on in there. Anyway hope you're feeling more positive today.
Hello everyone else in the 2WW. Hope you're not going crazy.
-
Hey Happybaby, i am feeling a bit more positive today, the pains were still there slightly but only niggling. Im starting to think maybe possibly now the pains could be implantation pains? I know its early days for me but im pretty sure it implanted this time last cyle, so im just going to try and focus on that for now. I hope your feeling better to girls xx
Happybaby, when is your blood test?
-
Oneday My BT is on Monday and I'm feeling very nervous about it. Do you know what happens if it's a BFN? My FS said I didn't have to see him for another FET and could start straight away but not sure how it works. Will I stop the meds and then get AF then wait a month? Or can I keep going on the Pregnova for another transfer?
