Sorry Wantaminime.. Probably not what you want to hear right now but.. it's positive you had some 'action' on your first round!! My FS told me after my m/c's from their medical perspective it was positive that something had happened.. GL next round..xxxxx
-
mumonce, wantanother is right, the specialists are v. happy when you get to each step and respond....I got told your body's getting used to the idea. having been in your situation last month I understand and recommend many hugs that are offered and some vino xx
-
Ok..it's an update alert!! BFP I truly want to stress the point to those ladies who truly think they are out and feel those 'definite' AF symptoms etc that you 'definitely' may be wrong. I really thought I was tuned into my body with all the treatment I have had..but No. thanks goodness I was wrong. Reading of 130 Beta so FS happy to move to 6 week scan. Still nervous of course..a long way to go.. but well I gotta BFP..
GL Airline..you were right.. fingers crossed of course you get your BFP too!!! xxx thanks for positive vibes....
-
MOMP ~ Congratulations on your BFP - awesome news! All the best - hope the lil one continues to grow and stick!
Wantaminime ~ Very sorry hun, I was trying to do the opposite and stop you from stressing. So sorry AF turned up but Im pleased you can move forward - great attitude.
Hi Airline ~ All the best hun!, FX
AFM ~ tested Fri night and not even a hint of a line - approx CD29 - 9DPO :(
Although I have real sore bbs and weird tummy and still no AF so still :crossfingers: that it may have just been too early. If not maybe next month...
-
WAY TO GO MUMMYONCEMORE:leap: you will be in the prego threads with me! congratz!

Hello Ladies,
I've been waiting 18 months to come back to visit the 2ww chat room...and here i am...never thought i'd get here..!
mumoncemoreplease - congratulations!!! logging in and seeing good news is the best welcome!
To tell you an amazing story, my DH produces zero sperm, we managed to get 1 very average embryo 18 months ago after a biopsy which found about 3 sperm - but it was unsuccessful. Since then, on the advice of the fs, we have been on our journey for our sperm donor, who is a friend of ours. Finally we got the green light to access his sperm, but decided just for piece of mind to perform one last biopsy on DH, just to know we had tried everything, but also knowing that there was a 0.1% chance of finding anything of quality and fully excited to be finally undergoing a round of IVF with our donor. Low and behold, our surgeon - who is a magician - performed a new form of microsurgery and managed to get enough sperm from DH to inject 16 eggs, of which 10 fertilised, 5 survived, 1 got transferred last friday and 4 are in the freezer. We're still in disbelief. I pray this is not where our luck ends.
So, i'm 3dpt5dpo, bt scheduled for 6 Aug. Dying for some sign of implantation over the next few days, have been feeling ill all weekend with a mild dose of ohss i think, but starting to feel better now.
Look forward to sharing the next few weeks with you all.
-
Yay Mumoncemore - Congrats. Fx for H&H 9 months for you
Welcome Lieve - What an amazing trial you have had to get to here. Good luck with your TWW and hope it ends in a BFP for you.
Loops don't fuss. you did the right thing. Thankfully the nurse also made me see sense and stop me kidding myself. I much prefer a straight forward no nonsense approach that being moddy coddled.
Good luck all.

GIRLS.............IT'S A BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes my complete change of attitude, my positive visualisation and my fantastic acupuncture has all led me to this moment in time! Having had my fair share of disappointment I am sooo happy to say my hcG was 200 today (14 days post FET) Whooppeeeee!
Mumoncemore...I told you it was our turn girl! And I repeat everything Mumoncemore said re. feeling the AF symptoms....I had all my 'usual' things like bloating, stirrings down there, etc but it does not mean the end of the road.
We're going to take one day at a time and get retested on Wednesday to check the hCG is going up at proper rate. (something that didn't occur for me previously)
Good luck to those still awaiting results.
Lieve, wow! You remind me that no matter how much you think you've had it tough....someone else has done it tougher. (is that a word??) congratulations and I hope your luck continues x
ps how do I change my signature???? can't find it, it's so outta date - I'm 35 now...and have a BFP :-)
-
Airline GREAT!!! Congrats and thankyou sooooo much for your wonderful positive vibes!! Great Beta too. Thanks to everyone for their congrats. I am of course nervous but excited to have made this initial hurdle with the support of you girls. Thankyou and wishing you your + V soon. xxxx
Airline to change sig go to top of page Settings and then to Edit my signature..xx

Hi Ladies,
Can I join you here?? I had my ET on Saturday and now officially in the 2WW period for the first time...
Airline, mumonce, congratulations! :) It's great to hear such news, gives one some hope...
Wantaminime, I am so sorry for you, but remember, this was only the first try!!
Lieve, your schedule seems to be similar to mine :) What a miracle story you have!
I'm really in worry now. During ET, the doctor found a polyp in my uterus.. Although he said that it would not endanger the pregnancy, I've read about it on the net and found that it actually increases the risk of miscarriage for IVF pregnancies... Anyway, I cannot do anything else than hope....
I was a bit surprised how few embryos got to freezing as compared to the number that survived. On the day of my ET (day 5), we still had 10 blastocytes... but finally they only froze 4. Is this the usual percentage? But at least I am glad that we have some frozen!!
Good luck to everyone

Airline-way to go i love seeing the BFP.
AFM- i am 5 weeks tomorrow and still waiting for my BT i went to my normal GP he did a test and said yep you are pregnant the line came up soooooooooooo dark instantly but he said you may aswell wait until you go back to the clinic and have BT there.
Why does my clinic take so long when everyone else had there TF after me and have already had there BT.
-
thank ladies for the well wishes. as mumoncemore said, early days, and keep thinking those +ve vibes.
ferrals.....can't you contact your clinic and ask them to do a BT now...or ask your GP to do a quantative BT measuring hCG and progesterone. If you go early enough, and your docs sweet like mine, they'll tick the Urgent box and you can go back about 5pm and the results are in. He had to chase up with a phonecall but it's worth a shot.
question. For an FET which was a natural cycle - only progesterone pessaries and 2 hCG shots post transfer, how do I calculate due date? It's from date of 1st day of last AF isn't it? So if that was Thurs 17th June I'd be 5wks and 6days today Wed 27th Jul......... thanks girls.
Dinnie, Lieve, my dear Loops and wantaminime.....I hope your time in this forum is limited, good luck and sticky vibes.
I'm off to my acupuncture session later....yeh, another nap! x
-
Airline-Today is Tuesaday the last time i looked my last AF was june the 23 being day 1 so i am 5 weeks tomorrow if your 1st day of last AF was on Thursday the 17th you are 5 weeks and 5 days you will be 6 weeks on Thursday maybe thats why my clinic is waiting to do the BT until the 2nd as i will be 5 weeks and 5 days on Monday and every Wednesday for me is another week further along.
I am due around the 29th of march by what my doctor said and from what the due date calculator said on line which is 9 days after our Abbi's 2nd Bday.
-
Congrats Airline. You did say this was your time. Well done. Have a H & H 9 months
-
Im out ladies - AF arrived today :( All I can say is bring on IVF in Oct!
Airline ~ BIG CONGRATULATIONS hun, all the best for next 9 months
All the best ladies, GL in this TWW!
Ferrals - Hope things continue to go well hun, GL with the rest of your 9 months.
-
[QUOTE=ferrals4;2410900]Airline-Today is Tuesaday the last time i looked
oops !!!! there was me thinking it was wednesday all day! doh!
-
wOOHOO: Congrats airline and ferrals sorry I am still stalking in here... loops: AW chick hope we both get our bfp's then
-
Ailine-lol must be baby brain already.
-
Congrats airline, another BFP, gives me hope. Positive attitude; check, positive visualisation; check, acupuncture; check...thanks for great advice.
Dinnie - yes, looks like our schedules are very close, esp if you're a blastie...if we're lucky we should be implanting now. I was woken up this morning by some sharp pangs in my abdomin which felt promising but after clearing my foggy head, realised they were on the side opposite from where my little embie was placed...so no other feelings, but accutely aware of every niggle and twitch.
I know how you feel about freezing fewer embies than what you had...but i am reassured by our scientist who said they only freeze the very best, and those that appear to have potential...so be confident that those you've got on ice are made of good, strong stuff!
DH and I just decided to book a week's ski holiday in NZ for the day after our bt, so if I'm BFT we can relax, celebrate and enjoy the news, and if I'm BFN we can at least have a nice, distracting holiday...
How do others get through the 2ww?
-
Cheers loops!! I hope your BFP is just around the corner.
Well 48 hours after getting 1st BT done, we got our 2nd as we know all about slow rising hCG etc. The results were 480 which has just over doubled. which is great. fantastic. but.....
then our doc showed us the parameters for week5 6 etc and we realised we're at the lower end of scale. The parameters are vastly different - can't remember exactly.
This is where my positivity faltered slightly. You see I've worked very very hard on my positivity and my visualisation etc with help of my acupuncturist and my massage lady I see occasionally. Naturally I'm a bit pessamistic! Sooooooo I'm trying to keep myself and my head in the right place.
QUESTION - my progesteron dropped from 120 to 51. My last pessary was taken the morning of the BT. The scale for progesterone is 1st trimester 30-160 2nd tri 110-340
Have other ladies had theirs drop so much and so quickly?? Is this normal??
Should we get another test done in a week? think we will. (that was me answering own question!)
please let me know of any experience you've had xx
-
Hi airline, im just starting my first natural frozen cycle so shouldn't be replying in this thread but i love to see how all you girls are doing so i always come in and see :) i do have a similar story, my last cycle was our 3rd, a FET i found out i was pregnant 7pt (which was early because of spotting) my HCG was 70 and progesterone was 30, i then had another test on my original BT day and it had gone up to HCG 178 and prog 40 (bleeding gradually got heavier everyday). my next text was the following monday HCG was 518 (which was not too low but not near as high as it could be) but my prog had dropped to 18, i then was told to have bed rest and hope for the best, 2 days later i had another test which confirmed id lost it HCG was 509 and prog was 13 :( but every story is different, iv heard many stories where levels have been low and ended in a healthy preg. If your concerned ask your FS to have a test every week for peace of mind. Goodluck xx
-
thanks oneday. FS got me to take another BT today. He's happy with the hCG but due to the drop in progesterone, has put me back on pessaries one a night for another fortnight. I've come straight home and popped one in ;-).... sooner the better I reckon.
His secretary will phone me soon with this mornings blood test results. Had to get myself back on the positive thinking road, but think I'm there.
sticky vibes to you all xx
-
Hi airline
I just wanted to drop in and offer some support, when I got my BFP with DD from an FET I was on progesterone pessaries twice daily as my P4 level when I got my BFP was 80. I was on progesterone support until the 10 week mark which is when the placenta kicks in and takes over producing the right level of hormones.
For this FET - which is tomorrow - I started on progesterone pessaries on Sunday (1 per day) and will do the same as with DD if we are lucky this time around. This is a natural FET ie: I have ovulated, but my FS still likes me to have the extra progesterone support.
Hope you get some good numbers today, and I'll be in here tomorrow after I have 2 little blasty's put back for safe keeping....
-
Hi Airline.. Was thinking maybe because you had the pregnyl injection too could cause the drop off levels?? Positive and sticky bean thoughts to you..xx I am nervous everyday but think of you and your positive views which is keeping my head in a good space!! Thanks xx GL
-
hello everyone...sorry got caught up with other stuff...nice stuff, but stuff. Soooo the no.s are as follows
1st BT 14 days post transfer Progesterone 120 hCG 200
2nd BT 16 Prog 51 hCG 480
3rd Bt 17 Prog 52.4 hCG 933 so only 24 hours between the 2nd and 3rd, so pleased with the hCG almost doubling.
Feel much better again, and will test in maybe 5-7 days time. I know I won't be able to do nothing till our scan which is 3rd week of August.....so this'll keep me sane.
KellyD thanks for your post, and good luck for tomorrow!!!!!
mumoncemore, thank you for your kind words, as I said in a previous post this is the 'new me' really as I class myself as a realist (DH says pessamist!)....but my acupuncturist and massage lady were inspiring and it is a better way to be.
sticky vibes to one and all xx
-
airline, congrats for your numbers, they seem fantastic!
KellyD, how did FET go today?
Lieve, how are you getting along? Your trip to NZ sounds a great idea! There is something to look forward to whatever happens. And it also distracts your thoughts, which is something I would need now too ;)
Today I started having cramps, as if AF would be on her way... BT will be on 4 August but I'm worried that the result will turn up sooner... :(
-
O.K so I have made it to the dreaded 2ww or for me the dreaded 10 day wait.
I now have 2 little blasty's on board so FX 1 or both decide to join our family. I was pretty lucky again as the lab only had to thaw 3 blasty's for us, the first one only had 10% survive the thaw but of the remaining 2 one was still 90% intact and the other 80%. They even mentioned that the one that was 90% had even started to develop to the next stage from when it was thawed today so am hoping it is a nice little sticky one.
So my BT is scheduled for the 10th but will POAS from next Wednesday as it was at that time that I started getting a second line with DD.
Good luck to all the other strong girls who are plodding slowly through this TWW, you are all in my thoughts.
-
It's been quiet in here, and I guess I have to leave now...but good luck girsls and I hope you all achieve that success you yearn for so much xx
KellD, sticky vibes for 1 or 2!!!!
Dinnie, fingers crosses...as myself and some of the girls have experienced you can def. have all the usual bloating, cramping etc of AF but have a positive BT!
Lieve...how you going?? My neighbours just left for NZ skiing trip today! Have fun!!
-
Very quiet in here at the moment, maybe that's a good thing....
I'm still plodding along although last night I was getting those uncomfortable cramping pains - like stabbing but today it is all gone away. Even though I said I would wait until Wednesday to POAS of course I've already started even though I know it is too early, so now all I need is to keep myself occupied as I wish the next week away.
-
hi girls in the 2ww.... Had my et last friday so 3 days in.
Had 2 morulas transferred on day 4 stage before blastocyst so fingers crossed.
This is our 2nd cycle after quite a journey to get here. Last cycle m/c at 6 weeks so really hoping this one sticks.
Feeling very tired and wiped out, should i have had any signs???
Staying as positive as possible.
Anyone else started there 2ww?
-
Hi Blossom
It's really quiet in here at the moment. I also had an ET last friday but I had 2 day 5 blasty's transferred. My BT is on the 10th when are you scheduled for your BT??
-
hi kelly, it does seem quiet. I have to wait till Friday 13th..
Handling it ok so far but i know next week is going to be a lot harder...
Fingers crossee x
-
Maybe friday the 13th will be a good day for you. Hope you can handle the waiting, as you can see from my ticker I've been through this before and trust me the wait doesn't get any easier. I am a POAS addict so I always do them leading up to my BT as I like to be prepared for any outcome.
Hopefully we both get some good news this time around, was your transfer a fresh cycle?? Did you get any spare frostie babies?? This is a FET cycle for me, I was lucky as I only had to do one stim cycle back in July 2008 as we got 15 embryo's. We used up 7 to get DD and have used 3 more for this cycle.
-
Hi Ladies,
Blossom, KellyD - welcome, good luck to both of you with your 2 blasties and 2 morulas...double the sticky vibes!! Wow Kelly, those emby numbers you got last cycle are great.
Blossom - i think the tiredness and exhaustion come with the territory! I was doing fine until this week, now I am utterly exhausted, a bit down and just really uninterested in everything. You sound like you're staying positive though, so hang on in.
Dinnie - your BT is tomorrow, how are you feeling hon?
AFM - My god, this 2ww is torture!!!! I'm especially touchy today because this is the day AF arrived last cycle. I figure if I can get through today without AF putting in an appearance, then my odds are increasing. And I've given myself permission if no AF by tomorrow morning, I will POAS. BT is Friday. The games you play with yourself, eh, just to get through it??? I've been having lots of dull cramping during the night, like AF is about to rear her ugly head, but the only time i ever get cramping is sometimes about an hour before she arrives, so I'm hoping all this cramping it's a good sign - either that or it's the damn crinone playing with my emotions....
-
Hi
Lieve good luck with the BT on friday, it definately is one of the most anxious times we have to go through, fingers crossed with sticky vibes for you!
Kelly D wow that is great one stim cycle, unfortunately for me i am a poor responder but this time we retrieved 12 eggs and thawed 6 from a previous cycle and only one from each was good which is what they have transferred. We where hoping this time to get some to freeze so i wouldnt have to go thru all the stim cycles each time.
This is our 3rd cycle, first one retrieved 6 eggs and found no sperm with dh back in 2009. After we picked our selves up from that news we found a donor o/s.
Now in a clinic in brissie, our last cycle was back in April and they got 6 eggs and 2 fertilised had a day 3 transfer and one stuck but unfortunately m/c at 6 weeks.
So really hoping that these 2 stick as would love to have twins and just get on with life.
Fingers crossed for all of us, sending out lots of baby dust to you all.
-
BFP!!
Hi Ladies,
I had my BT today and the result is: BFP!!!! :D
I'm so happy and simply cannot believe it. I think it takes time till I realize it is really true. :)
Lieve, I've been having cramps since Friday, which was 6 days after ET. I was sure every day that AF would arrive that day, it was just the same feeling. No other symptoms, no breast tenderness either, so I was pretty sure I was not pregnant. So Lieve, you have every chance, and cramping DOES seem to be a good sign :)
KellyD, Blossom, good luck for your cycles as well! I cross my fingers for all of you!!
Dinnie
-
Yay Dinnie big congrats on your BFP
Blossom, yeah I was so lucky when I had my first stim cycle. I've got PCOS so I reckon that as I was only ovulating about once a year I must have had heaps of eggs :p. I had 30 eggs retrieved at my EPU of which 18 fertilised and 15 made it. We used up 7 however to get DD and of the 8 frosties 3 were used this cycle to get 2 to transfer. Just remember though, "it only takes one" which is soooo true. I hope you are still hangin in there.
Lieve: Crinone is a bugger and can make you have all kinds of symptoms, but cramping is also a good sign so I have my :crossfingers: it is good cramping.
Well I did a POAS today and it was "-tive" although I shouldn't be surprised as it is only 5dp5dt but I have had some really strong cramping - stretching sensations and my nipples have been really sore. I'm also getting a sore lower back but as I also have a UTI at the moment the back pain might be associated with that. I went to the Dr yesterday to get some antibiotics so hopefully they will kick in soon as I feel horrid already without having the UTI plus I have a teething baby to deal with as well. At least we are going to Melb this weekend, so that will give me a distraction although we are going to a childs birthday so I'm sure we will get asked "when will you be having another"......
oh well another POAS tomorrow.... yes I'm an addict...
-
2WW killing me!
Well peeps, this 2WW is the worst thing ever! Four more days till my blood test :-( Though, I feel I know the result already... Sounds gross, I've had this strange dark brown discharge since Sunday with PMS pains. Can't stand it anymore, but oh well at least work is keeping me so busy. Though, all I want to do is curl up and lie in bed all day! DH won't let me, telling me to keep going just forget about everything till Monday. Oh I hate Mondays!
Susan
-
Congrates Dinnie.
Have a happy and healthy nine months. take it easy and look after yourself. Enjoy every moment of it
-
I know Sweetie, the TWW feels like forever it is almost like time purposely goes slow..
I did another POAS this morning and "-tive" again, with DD it was around this time that I got that second line so I am now 99% sure this time didn't work but I still have 5 more days until BT unless AF arrives on Sunday when she is due.
