    Hi Girls,

Well today was a total and utter waste of time.

I drove for over an hour to get to my appointment and walk straight in to have my scan only to be told that there is nothing in either of my ovaries. One had a tiny tiny follie, but they said it isn't even worth measuring coz it's way too small.

So for the whole 5 minutes that i was in there i got told that i have to go back on Friday with the hope that that tiny little follie has decided grow over the next few days.... :fuming:

This is really starting to p#@s me off. Things were working better on only 50mg of clomid. But they wanted to put me up to 100mg to get even better results. Instead they get worse.....

I'm really hoping that this hasn't got something to do with the herbal remedies that i have been given by my bowen therepist. She gave the same things to two other local girls to help them get pregnant (which they did), but i just don't know.

I suppose the only good thing to come out of it was that they only charged me $30 for the scan and i got back $29.75 from Medicare. I suppose there has to be an upside to all this.....

Oh b*gger Shan about the one little follie. I hope it's a keeper and that it blooms over the next few days, but I totally understand your frustration.

Are you going to speak to your herbalist to see if you should keep taking the remedies? It's horrible not knowing what, if anything, it might be that making things 'go slow'!

PS Shan, email received and updated. ~Jane~ before I update your details, can I confirm that you used to be j_girl?

Thanks for that Sushee. I'm thinking that i'm just going to stop taking the herbal stuff and speak to my therepist tomorrow and have a chat to her about it. She did ring her naturopath before giving them to me and told her i was on clomid etc, and she said that it was perfectly fine for me to be taking it and that it wouldn't interfere witht he clomid.

I just don't know though, as this is the first cycle using clomid that i've also used the herbal stuff. I started it 3 weeks ago, so i had already taken the clomid for that cycle.

    Frustrating is absolutely correct..

Shan - like Sushee said I would check out whether or not your herbs were having an impact on the clomid. Hope things improve for you on Friday

    Hope everyone is well

    Hi ladies

Day 2 of the wait and all is well!....so far!

I still feel positive and am trying to use some visualisation to get these babies to stay and grow.

shan I'm sorry you're having a rough time of it. It's funny you should mention the herbal remedies you've been taking. I've been on all sorts reently, royal jelly, vit B6, iron, vitex at times and follic acid. I've changed my diet and taken up reflexology. Despite all of that I basically had a worse result this time. Worse in proportion to last time. I wonder whether it is better to carry on as normal added folloc acid and maybe more fruit and veg, than to change drastically or add serious things to your diet. Maybe it tilts the balance of your body too much I don't know but it has made me think. If this doesn't work this time, i won't be taking all the things I was and will eat as I always have done. Maybe that cream cake is good for the soul and therefore good for you on the whole
All the best. I'm fure your follicle will get it's act together for next time.

I've started cramping this afternoon quite badly, is this a bad sign already, or do you think its just the progesterone?

    Hi Girls,

Sararms - i haven't been through what you are going through so i'm not too sure what the cramping could be. I really really really hope though that it could be implatation maybe.....

Jane - How are you lovely. I've just been on the phone to the distributors of the herbs and stuff i'm on in QLD and spoke to one of the nuaturopaths, and she said that what i'm taking in only minerals so nothing will effect the clomid etc. She then said that possibly a part of one of them has kelp in it which effects the thyroid so that 'could' maybe alter my hormornes a little. She said it shouldn't though and gave me the names of some other herbs that do the same job but don't have the kelp in it. I'm going back to my bowen therepist this arvo and she is going to check my pH levels to see if the herbs have worked on me. Will be interesting to see the results....

Leis - hello lovely....how have you been....hope things are going well with you and DH....

Hi to everyone else and hope you are having a great day....

    sararms,

progesterone supplements do cause cramping, so it's nothing to worry about.

    Morning all!

I'm still here and still waiting! Lol!

Jane, all updated for you, my sweet!

    hey shan,

i just read that you are taking herbal supplements.

I was strongly advised by two naturopaths to not mix modern drugs with herbal things.

They prtty much said one or the other. I tried herbal for 6 months with no outcome.

Now i have a cupboard full of herbal things and cant use em.

Just stick to the clomid, im sure it will work for you. Just relax babe, im here too!!

    Hi there

Feeling better today! No where near as much cramping today. I was panicing yesterday. This morning I went to the loo and a small amount of dark blood was there. Nothing for the rest of the day though. sush you're the expert, what do you think, implantation? Or just things settling after retrieval and transfer?

Shan good luck with the herbs etc

Sush when is this baby coming??

Hello all, just thought I would pop in to see how you all are. Posting at stupid hours this morning as I have a shocking cold/flu and cannot sleep. Can only take Panadol and even that makes me nervous.
Well, it appears we are only having one bubba. Had my appt with specialist yesterday arvo. Dr was pretty convinced there was going to be twins given my (very high) hormone levels and 2 follies on previous scan but quick scan showed just one sac (to early for HB). Dh is quite dissapointed and I guess I am a little too. I feel silly and a bit selfish but its only because there was this expectation over last couple of weeks that we would be preparing for two. However, Dr had started listing the numerous complications with twins and given my size (tiny), I may not have been able to carry them to term. So, I certainly take heart that there is probably a greater chance of me holding this pregnancy and getting a child at the end. Plus, i almost certainly would have had c/s for twins taking away hopes of natural childbirth and poss breast feeding etc as well. Going back for weekly scans now and praying we see a HB next visit.
Poor DH's dissapointment is doubled too - Dr has put the big NO on any BDing until we are at least past 12weeks. Ahh, the suffering poor men go through!!

Sarams - I am crossing everything for you that at least one of your little bubbas stays in there for the long haul. Let that TWW fly by.

Shan - so sorry re your scan. Was always my worst fear that they would scan and see nothing at all. Hope that one follie does its thing over the next few days and you can hit the bedroom soon!

Lil_chookie - Had to laugh at your DH wanting to take his temp too - at least he is being supportive! Hope it all works for you this time around.

jane - is your DH having his procedure done soon? Does he need full general for that?
