Leis, I was just lookin at the role call, how did your appointment go yesterday?
I hope everyone else is well
AF is definately on her way, I have had the worst cramps and feel revolting. I am sitting here seriously considering a day on the couch under a blanket with my hottie.
we're in the same boat together j girl. Cramps are kicking in and no mistake. My husband was desperate earlier so I did a test....Negative. No real surprise, after all we are going through IVF, and you don't do that for nothing, but I was hoping you know...
Temp still up so i have no idea what is happening there, headaxhe still hanging areound as well, but the tell tale dragging cramps are also give away that AF is on the way, ans a negative is a negative isn't it.
You never know, one of the many ladies waiting to test tomorrow or the next day might get lucky. My fingers are crossed for you. You've pribably got room for one more go naturally before your IVF appointment anyway!
Sararms, I am so sorry that you are feeling the way you are at the moment. My friend also went thru what you are and I also have had a failed IVF attempt with no eggs left for a thawed transfer out of 7 eggs retrieved only 2 were fertilized only one mangaged to go in as the other was not viable thru PGD testing.
I am also sorry that you got a negative result with your testing, when do you go for your bloods, that will be the true result. As for your temp still being up, that could be a good sign as with the head aches. Do you have any other symptoms?
I am [-o< that the cramps you are feeling are a baby burrowing right in for you and your DH. On the other hand if not then I [-o< you will get thru this time and continue on your ttc journey with a very possitive outcome next cycle. Thinking of you and have you in my prayers. As I do all the wonderful people in these threads.
Good luck to everyone who are testing in the next couple of days.
it's an odd situation at the mo between cycles. i can't confirm when I will start my next cycle because I have to have an HSg. My consultant was so sure we would conceive in two cycles he says thee is a possibility that I may a legion or scar tissue or something on the enometrium, which could be easily removed if it is there, but that I have to book when AF arrives. once I've had that, then we can plan when to get back on the wheel. this was a natural attempt for us, because my husband only has a low count. We could get pg naturally, but it could take forever. i remain optomistic about that being a possiblilty.
Still have a headache, but I'm beginning to wonder if that is just stress now. We'll see in the morning if my temp is still up. I doubt it now though.
Are you attempting naturally or with some assistance?
Wow, so much has been said since my last post and unfortunately i don't have much time this morning, so there won't be any personals....sorry.
After my appt at the clinic on Monday I was sent away with my OPK's and told to do them Monday night, Tuesday and Yesterday morning, and if all were negative, to ring. So I rang yesterday and told them that the first test I did was was much lighter than the test line and the other two just got lighter and lighter, so they told me to come over for another scan as it could have been that we'd lost the egg.
I got over there and the scan showed a malformed follie (29mm) mind you and they figured it must have gone between two of the tests and that it was missed and we would have to just ride out the two weeks and start again next month.
Well luckily for me, I know how my CM looks and especially after just finishing reading the 'Billings Method' book, i had told DH that I though I had ovulated earlier in the week and we have BD'd Sat, Mon, Tue & last night, which thankfully puts us back in the running. The nurses at the clinic were quite happy with this, so everything is back on track.
So now I am officially in the TWW.......hopefully it will go fast for me and as it turns out...just as my stars predicted.....I may have a nice suprise on Australia Day................TESTING DAY!!!!
I am determined to hold out till then to test as I don't want to mess with the cosmic forces that surround us. The stars have said for both me and DH that there's a pregnancy in the waiting for us, so I'm making this MY month. I don't want to go onto AIH if i can avoid it, so this is it.
Mind you, not much in my stars ever really happen, but i suppose there is always a first time.
Good luck Shan and all the others waiting for a BFP.
Jane the appointment went as well as expected, but basically it is all not good. My endo is so severe (level 4/5) that the op will be around 4-6 hours and I will have a urinary cathetor in place for approx 10-14 days after, as the surgeon has to cut into my bladder as the endo has gone and conveniently attatched itself there as well as on my repro organs... bl**dy B*ast*rd of a thing. As always i was very emotional once the appointment was over. Although the op will all be done through lap, so only approx 3-4 small incisions. When I asked about pain management, the Dr stated that i would only need a couple of panadol... "couple of panadol try a few mls of IV peth thanks"!!!! They are giving DH and I approx 6 months of TTC naturally and then they would like us to move onto IVF again after this... BUT I am thinking adoption. I don't want to really go through IVF again, and I would love to give an unwanted child a wonderful home and much love. I was very anti adoption for DH and I before Wednesday, but some amazing co-incidental things have happened in the last few days... that I can't quiet explain, but fate will take us on our path and lead us to something wonderful.
I hope you AF cramps disappear real quick... thinking of you...
Love and hugs always
Leis xxx
PS I am booked in for the 23rd Feb at St Lukes, Potts Point. Surgeon, Dr Michael Cooper (Australias leading laprascopic surgeon) and his assistant will be my usual gynea, the wonderful Dr David Shelley Jones [-o< thank God for Private Health Insurance!!!!
Leis - honey thought the op sounds scary - it is reassuring your surgeon will be one of the best - and a fresh palette to begin ttc naturally again.
I assume post op you will get pethidine for sure - anaesthetist usually has that covered at first.
I [-o< and hope all your plans / surgery and fate lead you magically to a BFP or a baby to call your own by adoption. You know our DS is adopted - a pre-teenage terror sometimes atm but still our blessing.
Goodluck to those testing or waiting to test - or waiting for new cycle or Chele for her FET - Chele where are ? and what are you up to ?
Goodluck with Clomid Nola - and up coming fest.
Shan - hope the prediction comes true and a BFP for you - thinking of you in 2ww.
Thanks Trish.. I just emailed you.... I will beg and plead for drugs in recovery don't worry... I am sure my nursing charm will work a treat... I know how these surgeons think!!!!! LOL!!!
Leis~wow, what a huge operation. It must be so reassuring to know that you have the top surgeon. I really hope all goes well & that you recover really quickly!
I am off to have my egg collection in the morning 8-[ First time for me so I am freaking out about it all at the moment. Hopefully we get lots of nice big eggs.
Goodluck Skye thinking of you -glad you got it all sorted out -hope you get a good harvest and 100% fertilisation.
Cherie - under sedation or sometimes GA - after they put your legs in stirrups -and via ultrasound - they insert a very long 'fine' needle thru vagina wall into ovaries and suck out fluid from follicles which contain an egg hopefully. You don't feel much at the time a little sore afterwards for a day or so. Worth every uncomfortable minute.
It scares heaps scary but actually okay - mind you I had good experiences twice.
OMG!!
[-o< Let the Clomid work. I am a total wuss!!!! But I also know I would go through anything to be able to fall pregnant. Thanks for the explanation though ... this is going to be a steep learning curve for me.
DH and I were talking last night of sending him off to a reproductive endocrinologist. Whilst the obgyn that I'm seeing had a sperm analysis done, and told DH what the problems were, she didn't seem to offer any further investigations or solutions or even information about why his sperm count is so low and such high numbers of abnormal sperm. She's done a fantastic job with diagnosing my PCOS, and I'm really happy with her, but thinking that probably DH needs to see someone different. Has anybody else been through this?
Geez I didn't even think about the stirrups  glad I know now what to expect
Hopefully the Clomid will work wonders for you Cherie. My DH has high abnormal swimmers as well. We conceived our DD after 15 months but this time it is taking longer so we are doing ICSI. I ovualted every month I was on Clomid though & I have PCOS as well!!
