It hasn't been to bad, few light headaches and really bloated at the moment. And DH says maybe a little moody.emotional.. Other than that all good.
I'm hoping the 1st scan will be great and can get straight into collection.
That is fantastic that they moved your app forward.Good luck with it. Must feel great to knopw that u dont have to wait around till Nov now

    hello

    Hello everyone

I'm new here, so just wanted to introduce myself and also ask a question...

I came off the pill a year ago and had no periods for around 5 months, and just a couple of random light 'almost' periods between then and now.

A month or so ago I started acupuncture to try to regulate my cycle and this month ovulated for the first time that I know of (detected it on a kit) and last night had the first "proper" period in about a year. All of this was typical timing, as today was my first appointment with a FS to investigate my lack of cycle!!

He has prescribed 50mg of clomid (starting tomorrow -being day 2 of my cycle) for 5 days, with a review in 5 weeks time.

Now I'm not sure... On the one hand I want to take the clomid and hopefully get pregnant asap! On the other hand, I think maybe the acupuncture is helping, and I need to give my cycle a chance to get there 'naturally'? I hate taking ANY drugs if I don't have to, and my hormones have been all over the shop this last year - not sure I can handle the side-effect of being more (???? is that possible?) emotional!

But on the other hand (I have many hands..) all the medical people I have asked about this say to just take the clomid.

Me and husband are both 50/50 on this and keep wavering back and forth... We'd like to avoid multiple births where possible too! But I'm 31 now and I know the clock is ticking if more interventions are needed later...

(By the way - FS couldn't find anything wrong with me other then irregular ovulation - he thought this recent ovulation may have been the 1st all year).

Sorry for the long post! I'd really appreciate any thoughts / advice from people who have been in the same boat and understand. Just not sure what the right decision is at the moment.

    Thanks

Hey Brissygirl, cant really say to take or not take the clomid but i can tell you from personal experience i didnt get any side effects when i took it - i took it at night. If it was me in the position i would give the clomid a go while you have had a natural period - any bit of extra help is worth a go . . . in my opinion.

    good luck with it

Good luck today Tammara, let us know how you go.

Well i have been in for 2 scans so far and myh folllicles are still a little to small, going for another one in 2 days and hoping that they are right by then, then can go into hospita;l for collection on Friday. Not feeling to bad at the moment, really tired / exhausted alot of the time, but i think alot of it is menatally just draining.
Hopefully will all be over soon, and i pray everyday that this works for us 1st time, apart from the mental and emotional side of it, Not sure if we will be able to do it cost wise straight away again...

    Hope everyone is well

Dr went good, i am having the surgery just need the hospital to call me with a date. Could be anytime in the next month looking forward to the next step but not looking forward to the anisthetic Dr said with the drilling it is 66% more chance i will ovulate and he also said the drilling stays good for about 1 year. Ummm i cant think what else he said but feel free to ask anything.

Hope you go for your scan and get some good ones have the put your dosage up at all yet?

Yay, At least you have something to look forward to, lets hope its soon And hopefully the drilling will be your answer.

So they started me on 112.10 with the injections, lsat Friday when i had 1st scan they upped it to 150. I think they are hesitant to put it up more as they are growing and def dont want to over stimulate. Eary scans are just annoying more than anything my apps have had to be before work so 7am. Hopefully tomorrow is the last one.

Ok so scan went ok, i have a few that are 21-22mm and couple that are 18.1mm the rest are 13-14. Waiting for a phone call from them to tell me if they will do it Friday hoping that the ones that are 14 will grow to 18ish, as she said they grow like 2mm per day, or whether they will hold it off till Monday so that gives all the other a chance to grow. waiting waiting.....

    Back again

    Hi all,

So it?s been a while since I have posted now. Was a little upset after last months results and didn?t want to talk/think about it. Clearly no luck. Had a pregnancy test last month, came up negative and also showed that I didn?t ovulate. Which is strange because my first month on Clomid I was on 50mg and I ovulated, then the next I didn?t. So I went back to see gyno and she put me on 75mg and I have to get a blood test on Sat to see if I ovulated this time. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

    Where have you all gone?

What's happened to this sight? Where is everyone?

Ok so I'll tell you all about me whilst I wait for someone else to get on line.

I am now on day 25, I had a blood test on day 21 and it is confirmed that I ovulated very excited. I'm pretty sure I know when I ovulated and we DTD the night before, so fingers crossed
Can anyone tell me if this is corrrect? I did a ovulation test on Tues night (2 infact) both showed positive signs of LH rise, the box said to DTD within 24-36 hours of a positive result, so we did that night. Is that correct? Or should it have been with in the period of 24-36 hours after? A little confussed.

    Hope everyone else is well.

Hope this silence means that everyone is off busy DTD and making babies

    Till next time,

    Keli Xxoo
