Hi girls, well got the results of my blood test, I definately O'ed on day 20 - had a reading of 69 - if anyone knows what that means. So good news, because it means that my ovaries did more than any other month! I have one PSO, that usually does nothing. So fingers crossed. Did everything that I was supposed to just, hope they hooked up this time!
-
beccccc---------- sounds great!! will watch for your:BFP:
xoxo
-
LSK - do you know what 69 means? As far as I can work out I am due for AF on 17th but doctor told me not to test until 19th! how frustrating!
-
Good luck Bec, hope everything goes great for you!!!!!! will have my fingers crossed
-
31becc - Everything is sounding great for you!
I did a bit of searching to see what I could find out about your levels and basically I just kept getting the same thing - anything over 30 on fertility treatment is fantastic and basically it just says that you ovulated and your body is in really good shape to accept a fertilised egg (if there is one).
I hope that helps a bit - I'd be POAS if I were you BUT I'm an impatient sod lol!
-
hey girls,
yeah kylie that is was i have been told- it is a very high number though so fingrs crossed.
-
Hey girls. Thanks for the info Kylie. I thought it was something like that. I was just excited that it was high still on day 27. I am busting to do a test, but don't want to disappoint myself if it is negative and then try to convince myself that percentages are still low, the earlier you do before you are due! will keep you guys posted.
-
i had my first + at 11dpo- but it was so so so faint the DH couldnt even see it- then i kept testing and testing.
aghhhhhh- dying to know you result!!
-
LSK - OK, I will test tomorrow morning and see how I go. I am due on Tues, so i will just test and test (cause I really want to just trying not too!) Will let you know
-
i have a good feeling this month for you girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yay Becc! I'm glad you're going to cave because it's looking really good for you - crossing my fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes until tomorrow morning for you
LSK - I hope your feelings are right! ;)
-
Sofia desia's
Kylie & Dee - have either of you started testing yet?
LSK - I am hoping your feelings are right too!
-
man i tested really early all the time- i dont know how you girsl aren't testing
waitng ........... waiting.............
-
I used to test early. Now I figure there's no point literally flushing that money down the toilet when I have a free test that's pretty reliable- AF. If AF isn't on time, then I'll test.
I don't want to have spent all my money POAS, get pregnant and have no money left to buy a cot! lol.
-
Becc - I POAS on 9dpo and it was BFN but I also didn't use FMU  I'm listening to my body at the moment and it's saying "batten down the hatches - AF's on her way" I have a 16 day luteal phase so I'm not expecting AF until Monday but I feel exactly the same as I have for the last 3 cycles and I wasn't preg for any of them.
LSK - I used to be an obsessive tester but there's just been too many years of disappointment so now I hate it with a passion - I seem to take it better when AF arrives.
Bonnie - LOL @ spending all your cot money on 'P' sticks
-
for me personally i always felt i fi "knew" af was coming (with a bfn) i would feel better.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm bring on baby vibes puhllleaaaaaseeeeeeeee
-
Hi Ladies...
I haven't been posting but just lurking.. I don't get too much in the sympton department so I tend to just hibernate until AF arrives.. As for the to POAS or not to POAS.. I'm a non P#sser... I'm the same as you Bonnie.. I wait for AF but my reasoning is that if it's a neg I never accept that it's over anyway..and Ditto Kylie with the too many years thing... Only a positive or AF is the final answer for me.. So I figured why torture myself.. In saying that though.. I bought a 3 pack of HPT's on Monday.. i haven't touched them.. I'm due Saturday or Sunday.. Not feeling too confident... Good luck Bec for tomorrow I hope it's BFP for you straight up.. And goodluck over the weekend Kylie.. I hope it doesn't drag too much.. How are you Tammara.. I hope you're travelling well and to LSK.. Thank you so much for holding our hands and keeping us company and giving us hope.. We certainly need it..
-
huuuugsssssss:grouphug: miss c'box- i never will forget how much personal heartache, sadness and frustration i felt with ttc esp with assisted conception :(. the only thing i know is that when we get our bubba, it seems sooooooooo much sweeter than haveing concieved with outany help at all. because WE know we have earnt and prayed harder and for longer.
xoxox
-
I thought I better say - that I decided not too do the test and wait, otherwise if I got a negative i would be obsessive ever morning. I hate doing them, they make you upset when you get negative so often.
-
lol Bec - I saw you had posted and thought.. Woo hoo we have a result.. Good for you not testing though... I always had this picture in my head of being late and going to buy a test.. Bringing it home and telling DH I was late at which point he would get all excited.. I would do the test then DH would stand with me as we watched the second line come up... Kinda hasn't happened like this so far.. Maybe in a couple of days I can have my perfect scenario... Yeah.. I know.. I'm a nutter...
I hope you are all well... for some good news soon...
Dee
-
Hi Dee - yeah it was hard!! So I am trying not to do anything until next week! Yep I can see that scenario too - but as for you it hasn't happened that way either for us! Fingers crossed for you. I hope it is a good result this month. I am starting to feel like AF is on its way, so not feeling as positive as I was a few days ago. Oh well - it is a waiting game!
-
Hey everyone, im going ok. I have not been able to start charting my cycle or my ovulation because the last 2 months were VERY much all over the place. Things seem to have settled down a little (touch wood) so im hoping when i get AF i can start the clomid and also get the xray and ultrasound done then go get some more information about what is going on with me. I have to admit i think i would be a tester ad i am VERY impatiant and would not be able to wait.
Good luck girls :)
-
:crying: Game over.. I've got tingeing and cramps this afternoon and I expect the full force of her rage tomorrow.. It has hit me pretty hard cause this was the last strike before heading to IVF and I was trying to be positive and it's now come crashing down.. I'm guttered.. I left work straight away... DH doesn't get it.. he just holds me while and cry and says we'll get there.. I said "Can you please just let me cry and be angry for at least a minute before expecting me to move forward".. So i'm here typing and listening to hello Mr Heartache by the Dixie Chicks and wallowing in my own self pity.. I guess i'd better snap out of it cause I have a girls night out at a Caberet restaurant and had better start getting ready... Sorry for the me post...I hope you all have more sucess than I have.. i'll keep an eye on you all as I can't wait to see the BFP's rolling in.. good luck...
Dee
-
I'm so sorry to hear that Dee. :comfort: That really does suck. I've been down about AF arriving too. It's such a disappointment.
I hope IVF works for you and you get your BFP.:crossfingers:
-
i folks, i think i posted in the wrong topic earlier this week i didnt see this one, oops.
i am on day 7 of my first clomid cycle.
no side effects thank goodness because its just not what i need right now, except at night when i get home my left ovary side seems to ache a bit like AF pain.
hoping for the best for all of you also trying
-
Dee - I'm so sorry hon :grouphug: Good luck with IVF and please keep us updated on how you're travelling. I'll be heading the same way sooner or later so I'm very interested in the process. Take some time for yourself over the next couple of days and make it ALL about you! ;)
Musik - Welcome! I know exactly what you mean about the AF pain in your ovaries, mine starts at about CD 4 and is pretty much on & off all cycle. I figure it's a good thing cos at least you know your Ovaries are active. I hope your stay here is short and sweet
Tammara - I hope things straighten out for you soon so you can get on with the Clomid :)
AFM - Nothing new, just waiting for AF but I'm VERY VERY teary! I've banned myself from watching the news cos I end up :crying:... oh the joys of feral hormones LOL!
Have a great weekend everyone :hello:
-
Kylie: I hope all goes well with you too, by the looks of it has been a long road for you and I wish you every success :)
-
Sorry to hear your news Dee, if it is anything at least you know that we can totally understand why you feel the way you do. Im sure i speak for the others when i say not to worry about your "me" post, if it helps then i say type away.
Hope you had a great night out!
-
Musik - Yeah, it's been a long time TTC but a LOT has happened in that time (including 3 marriages). The first time I was on Clomid I was uneducated and VERY unhealthy - I only did 2 cycles before I gave up ... all too hard  The second time we discovered that the problem was with my (then) DH not me. This time we're fully educated, my PCOS is under control and DH is all good (has 2 kids already) so in a way, I feel like this is the first time I've really had a good hard crack at it ... so to speak LOL!
Anyway, enough waffling from me ... I'm sure you didn't want to know all that lol :p
Tammara - Absolutely, I agree! I invite anyone to bring on the 'me' posts ... we're all here to support each other :grouphug:
I hope your men are all spoiling you rotten today girls ;)
-
Dee: I just read your post *hugs* won't say anymore because you've prolly heard it all before and i know sometimes its just nice to vent
-
Hi Girls - Dee sorry to hear, Good luck with the IVF - and I agree please make sure you make it all about you for a bit!!!
As for me - well AF arrived for me yesterday! All day Saturday I was in extreme pain and then they came! I am still in pain. So guess I better ring my specialist to organise this months worth of ultra sounds and like! Oh well - at least I know I O'ed this month been.
I will be ordering some of that Preseed today! because I apparently released two eggs and there is apparently nothing wrong with DH as he has been tested, so obviously they are un-co!
All the best ..
-
Hi Everyone,:hello:
I hope you don't mind if I join this group - I have been reading your posts for awhile and I can relate to so many of you!!
I have PCOS and I am insulin resistant we have been ttc for just over a year. I have been on 500 x 1 met for 3 weeks now with little side effects and I started temping this month aswell. The temping is a little confusing as I have had two jumps in temp in the last week and now I am unsure when I have ovulated!! so we are just baby dancing all the time!
We have had more bad news :wall: yesterday with my husband finding out he may have a low sperm count - I am off to my FS tommorrow to have her look at the results because his GP really wasn't helpful!! My FS wants me to go on clomid but I am now unsure if this can happen if he has a low sperm count - does anyone know??
Mahli09
-
31becc - Sorry to hear that AF is giving you grief - I hope you're feeling better now. Great news that you're O'ing though - I hope the preseed helps and gets you a BFP this cycle
Mahli - Hi & Welcome :hello: I hope the Met sorts things out for you - it did for me! I'm the worst person to talk to about temping .... I just don't do it because I get too frustrated with it. I prefer my OPK's - a LOT of people have told me that OPK's don't work for us PCOS girls but they work for me. I've also been told that 'Maybe Baby' won't work and for me, that's true *shrug* I think regular BD'ing is the only way to go when you have no idea when O was or is - that way you know that you've given yourself every chance and there's no regrets at the end of the cycle (you know, that sense of satisfaction knowing that you did everything you could?). Depending on the problem with your DH's sperm, the FS may suggest you go straight to IVF (or ICSI?) or he may be happy for you to proceed with the Met & Clomid - the Clomid will get you O'ing with more eggy's so I guess it can't hurt to give DH's spermy's more targets  I hope the FS has some good news for you ;)
AFM - Well AF played a trick on me and arrived a day late - getting my hopes up when she didn't arrive on time :wall:Oh well, here we are on CD1 of Cycle # 5 and AF is being a witch!
:bluedust: to everyone!
-
Hey girls - I had to go and get an urgent PT done even though I had AF - because I was in sooooo much pain. But turned out negative~ Apparently it can happen!
Welcome Mahli - I use the OPT - my FS recommends I use Seritec brand - you can get O tests from lullaby conceptions (website) though and buy in bulk and they are a lot cheaper than from the chemist and then POS every day after you you finish AF's. I did the temping thing and it really stresses you. I could not pin point the day for O doing that - but no wonder wasn't Oing!
Kylie - you poor thing - fingers crossed for this month. I feel for you - can understand with the hormonal thing prior to AF - I turn into a witch! My poor husband! I don't start taking my chlomid until day 5 - so on Thursday! Good luck
Welcome Musik to the link - this is a great link - I am about to start #3 on Chlomid - first month was OK, but 2nd gave me hell - absolutely shocked. Felt like from my ribs down was bruised both on my back and front - I hope you don't get side effects like this.
Baby dust to everyone!
-
31becc - Oh no! You poor bugger! Has the pain stopped now? Do they know what caused it? I find that if I have a bad cycle then AF is going to be a shocker too. I'm sorry about the BFN and I hope that this cycle is good to you! I start Clomid on Saturday (CD 5-9) so it looks like I'll be following you through this cycle. How long is your cycle?
-
:grouphug: Thank you to all you lovely ladies that have been a support to me... Thanks for your well wishes and I hope that you will all have big fat BFP's before long and that you don't have to folow the same path as me...
So sorry Bec and Kylie that AF reared her nasty head.. i was really hoping that there would be some good news...
Hey Bonnie and Musik - How are you both travelling.. I hope the Clomid is not messing you around too much...
:hello: Mahli09 - I hope that you can get your cycle sorted out and that your FS can give you some answers about DH's sample.. When my DH had his first SA our GP thought it was tragic but when I met my FS for the first time he assured me his sample was normal... I don't think GP's know that much about these things.. I hope your FS can help...I was temping and it worked for me because I don't have PCOS so my cycle is regular and as it only pinpoints "O" after it has happened it's prob no good for cycles that vary so much.. Good luck if you go the OPK's...
:hello: Tammara - I had a great night out with the girls... I had a big fish bowl ****tail... Mmm yummy.. I hope you're travelling well...
AFM - I have my FS appointment on the 2nd March where I guess we work out our schedule from there.. I was thinking I could maybe start an IVF cycle 2 weeks after that which is when AF would be due again but I now have to go away for 2 weeks for work in that month.. Kinda 1 week home then the other away then 1 week home then away again so I think it might be too hard to start before that's out of the way.. bugger.. i guess i'm on a break.. lol.. I will still lurk and check on you all and if you want to visit and say Hi I have a TTC journal on here.. Take care
Dee
-
Kylie - last month it was 32 days, but it ranges. How long is yours? Prior to going on chlomid it was all over the place - ranging from 21 days to 44 and then sometimes not getting them - so a bit stressy.
The pain has stopped and I have already finished AF - yesterday! They don't know what caused it, they thought it might of been an EP - but wasn't, so they are monitoring me this month, even more closely!~ It was horrid feeling. Hopefully it doesn't happen this month again.
Good luck Dee with the IVF - hopefully it works for you. Fingers Crossed
-
Hi Girls
Ive been reading your posts and find it a little funny that while you girls are dreading AF, for once i am looking forward to it so i can start taking the clomid lol no doubt in a couple of months i will be dreading it also :)
PS - not funny that you are getting AF but im sure you know what i mean :)
-
It is funny Tammara that we spend most of our waking time thinking about AF one way or another.. She's so cruel..
Good luck hun.. I hope she shows her wicked head soon...
-
Hi Girls:hello:,
Firstly thank you all for making me feel welcomed into this thread  - it's nice to have people to talk to about this stuff, and thank you for your info on the OPK's I don't seem to have that much luck with them I always am ovulating with them (something to do with PCOS and my LH levels)- although I haven't used the brand you talked about 31Becc.
Im not to sure if I will need to worry about going on chlomid, temping and OPK's anymore anyway after my visit to the FS today - it seems that DH's SA is alot worse than I thought and he has to go and have a more detailed analysis done - I felt so sorry for him he was so crushed by the result . Unless the next test is a thousand times better it looks like IVF or ICIS is our next avenue - So Dee looks like we might be IVF buddies too.
I know what you mean Tammara about AF half the month you dread her and the other half you want her to hurry up so you can start the next lot of TTC methods!
Anyway time for bed :asleep: - it's been a long day...
Lots of :pink-babydust::bluedust: to you all
