Kerbear, I had a lot of on-off cramping for the entire 2WW. They say the cramping is like AF cramping which is true, and lots of women who have it think it's just AF on her way but it's in fact the embie digging a nice deep hole for itself Hope your cramping is a good cramping!!

Hi all. Had ET today, one 2d embie on board. Have been trying to do all the right things. Have been ordered to get on the couch and stay on it while DH makes dinner because 'You are pregnant'! Hehe. Will enjoy it while it lasts

I know this is a clueless question, but how do you figure out when AF due?

AF is due in 13 days (so what would be 15 days past EPU).

Kashby, it actually depends on your usual luteal phase. Simply treat egg pickup as ovulation day, then add your normal luteal phase.

    Hey Kerbear,

I'm the same as Miss B and M - lots of AF like cramping and lower back pain on my left side, started 2 days post transfer and still have it now, but it seems to have eased a bit this week.

I found it was worse when I was standing on my feet, but was still there when I was sitting down.

Good luck Fx it's a burrowing embie as Miss B says

Congratulation RhiChichi, that is wonderful news. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly from here. You deserve it. xxx

    Hi to everyone else.

AFM- I've tested again this morning and still glaringly negative. I swear, those stupid sticks mock me with how negative they are. AF is due today and I'm going in tomorow for BT. Just want to get it over with so I can get off this Clexane- my stomach is so bruised from those horrendous syringes. We are really unsure as to where to go from here. This is our 7th transfer with 8 embryos transferred in total and we are so frustrated. The whole way along we've been assured that we will get pregnant but guess what? Still not effing pregnant!! We have good quality embryos, I've had the endometriosis cleaned up, I'm only borderline for treatment of NK cells but we're doing it anyway and I'm on Clexane just as an added extra. What on earth is going on?? I'm really starting to think there must be a chromosomal issue. DH has had a gutfull and wants to go back to the FS and demand answers. I understand that this is such an inexact science but we are really starting to struggle and need to know where we stand. I've said this before, but part of me wishes that I could graciously walk away and start focussing on living our lives but I still can't bear the thought of not being a mother. I physically ache to hold my baby.

Sorry for the depressing post, girls but I know that you guys understand what this is like.

    Much love,

    M.x

    Meg, I am so sorry

Like you I have had a lot of transfers - nine embryos all up. It's so frustrating. You feel like you are the only one IVF doesn't work for. And it sucks.

But there are a couple of things to remember.

The first might not be comforting in a way but might help in another way. You are not alone. IVF doesn't work for everyone within the first few tries. I recently sat in my FS rooms in tears because I was ready to give up. She said not to even think about giving up before 14 embryos have been transferred. You are a long way off that.

The thing about IVF failure is you don't hear that much about it. People are much more vocal about their success. So, for those of us who struggle with repeated BFNs, it compounds our sense of failure and hopelessness.

I can't say it will happen for you - or me. But I can say, don't give up yet. You are not alone. We will keep fighting this together.

    Take care x

Thanks N2L, I know that now is not the time to make decisions and we need to talk to the FS. I have been wondering what the threshold is for determining repeated IVF failure. If it is 14, do you know if is it at that point that they recommend PGD? I'm with IVF Australia and they offer something they call Advanced Embryo Selection but it is an additional $3000 which isn't covered at all by Medicare or health funds. The financial side of all this is starting to become an issue too. I've gone back to uni and I'm only working part-time and DH works in not-for-profit so isn't on big money. There's only so long we can keep this up.

Thank you for your support- I really do appreciate it. You too, Joeve.

RCC- congrats to you and dh on the BFP!!

Meg76- I dont understand wholly what you feel like, but I understand how it feels to be at the crossroads and not knowing which way to go. I guess it all comes down to whether or not you'll have any regrets if you don't try once or twice more. Hang in there.

Afm- I worked up the courage and POAS. Faint BFP. Will test again tmw. Could swear that AF is at the doorstep, but nothing so far. 10dp5dt today
