kbudgie, you're not crazy at all! Or, if you are, so am I! My last IVF, I couldn't POAS. I sat on the edge of my bed a few mornings near the end of the 2ww and the thought of a BFN had me in tears. Even the morning of the beta. Or maybe that should be "especially the morning of the beta"? I had light bleeding at 14 & 15dpo, so I figured it had to be the start of AF. Beta was 16dpo and BFP. I did not use ANY hpts that cycle or pg. Not a single hpt. Not even one. I just couldn't...
Kbudgie - I never POAS, I'm too scared, plus always bleed before BT so I know it's a BFN every time. POAS does my head it, did it my first cycle and felt like crap after. So I won't do it see again. I'm just going to enjoy the possibility.
Emma - I asked my FS about PGD and he said unless there are sperm issues no point. Also told me hat no use growing to day 5 as we don't get enough eggs and we might lose perfectly good ones-- the best place for the embryo is inside you, he said.
Still
like you I wonder... Why don't they stick
Just jumping in Myturn to say that's interesting your fs said that because my DH has fantastic sperm results but we still needed pgd because whether the eggs weren't good (probable given my age) or together they weren't good most of our embryos were bad (4 out of 4 the first time which incidently all looked great at day 5 but they weren't & the 2nd time 1 good out of 10)
Oh no! Talk about adding insult to injury! Hope you're wrong about the BFN (I didn't get a BFP until 13dpo last time) and I hope your daughter's bone heals quickly.
MissB & emma just thought I would jump in about embryo glue, we used it for our dec transfer. It is a different medium they put the embryo in for transfer to help it stick. We got a bfp but miscarried so not sure if it helped but I think it's worth a try if nothing else has worked.
Emma I am so sorry you are struggling with not getting a bfp I know how heartbreaking it is, sending you a huge hug xo
DH is the same - he has his princess and he's happy to stop at one. He only keeps going because I want to. The more we learn about our situation, the more I realise we are even luckier than we first thought to have her, but it doesn't stop that gnawing hole in my heart that wants another...
Miss.B, I may be a few years younger, but my ovaries are racing yours to spit out their last egg... My ovarian reserve is low for a 45yo, let alone 36... I'm just glad to know menopause doesn't have to be the end of the road (money permitting).
