    very confused

I had my blood test today and it came back a 4. I know I'm not pregnant - I have full-on AF at the moment! This matters because my FS agreed that I could start a 2nd Flare cycle immediately, but she won't do it unless my BT drops (I'm being re-tested tomorrow). I know she knows best - but why would my BT come back as a 4 (on day 13 post ET) ... what does this mean?
Also, assuming it drops and she lets me start the cycle, I will have missed 3 doses of Synarel and 1 gonal f injection...

Buliej...I am not an expert, but one reason could be that you were pregnant for a short time (ie your embryo implanted and kept growing for a while), and your body started producing the pregnancy hormone, and then your embryo stopped growing and you had a very early miscarriage. In those cases it can take a while for the hormone levels to go right back to zero. I know some of the other ladies here have had very low levels at their BT and been told that means the pregnancy is not viable, but it is classed as a miscarriage, or in some cases a missed miscarriage (if they have not started bleeding).
I am sure it is very frustrating for you when you want to move forward. I guess your FS wants to be sure all is right before you move on. Like I said, I'm not an expert on these things though.
As for your concerns about the doses of synarel etc, I honestly don't think it matters if you start sniffing a bit later into your period. I know when I was on the stim cycle, I actually started sniffing toward the end of my period (as my clinic has a set day they like you to start, and that happened to be towards the end of my period from memory). If you are worried though, ask your FS about that...perhaps ring her today to set your mind at ease. It's a bit different at different clinics it seems.
Good luck, let us know how you get on. I know it's stressful going through all this

Thanks Possums...yes, I'm just very stressed about this all. My FS is not in today (she's ill) but I hope to speak to her tomorrow. Everything you said makes perfect sense - I'll try to be patient - definitely not one of my strong points.

I hope things are a bit clearer for you tomorrow then. Patience is not one of my strong points either! But sadly we need so much of it on this rollercoaster...that and faith and hope and lots of inner strength.

buliej- good news- I'm pleased to hear you can move on with a new cycle now and glad you didn't have an ectopic worry on top of things!

kaydee--welcome...glad your transfer went well..May a BFP be just around the corner for you!

afm- still going a bit crazy- staring at my breasts, prodding them, looking for signs. I have my HPT on the bathroom bench....I don't think I'll be able to hold off much longer!

    Hi all,

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone in the tww at the moment.
I am on my first IVF cycle at the moment, with EPU yesterday and ET tomorrow. I just found out that out of 9 eggs retrieved, we've had 5 fertilise, so I'm happy with that.
My BT is 26/9, so 2 weeks and counting.

Good luck and to everyone in the tww. I look forward to passing the time with you all.

    Hi Everyone

Just had my ET today and am now in the 2WW and counting down to my BT on the 25/Sept

Possums - You made me laugh about your breasts! I do exactly the same, and I'm sure I will once I am a week into the wait. I am usually good the first week and start to go crazy the 2nd!

Looks like there will be a few of us testing on the 25th and 26th, so we should have any interesting 2 weeks. Good luck everyone
