Coral I was reading back through the posts and saw you asked me a question about my cycle, sory I didn't answer you sooner.
My las 3 IUI cycles hve all been completely different, the first was a 28 day, second a 32 day, and this month a 37, cuz by eggies diddnt react to the Puregon injections as well, I had 5 eggs at one stage then ended up with 2 biggies. So I ended up enduring 15nights of Puregon and 4 scans cuz egies and ovaried weren't behaving, thus the long cycle, I had IUI on loke day 22 I think it was.............crazy.
Starbright IKWYM, I promised myself that since this is the last IUI for us, I would not read anything my body was doing, and promised myself that I would relax and enjoy the ride as such, yeah who was I idding hey, this time round I've been the worst eva!!!!
I hope that you are soldiering on ok babe, giving you strength that I seem to be lacking right now X
Airline Hope that you are still sane, did they say stay away from a stiff scotch
I need one!!! Let's pretend we had one, If our brains can trick us into having these stressfull symptoms, we should trick it back!
Mel, Moonflower, Hope you girls are feling good and spirits are high today X
Londonmiss hope you are enjoying Sydney X
Mitf if you have dropped by, Thanks chicky XXX
AFM, woken in a much better mood, as of now anyway no crampiness yet today so my poor mind can get back to some house work thismorn!
Hey just thaught I'd cheekily let you girls know I have cooked for DH once in 6 nights!! And that was spaghetti!! Have been out at BBQ's, birthdays ect, getting towards 'Silly Season'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He made me cook bacon and eggs thismorn though....
I keep missing your posts Coral!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ovidrel is the same as Pregnyl, that is what I have, after IUI I have 1500iu on day 4PIUI and day 7. It is out of my system by day 13PIUI, so I recon I'd be quietly, celebrating that you are UTD, get a BT Monday instead, I'm going a day early this month cuz of work. Oh babe please stick, enjoy your Sunday floating on air, quietly, and spend some wonderfull time together untill your BT.
I have had a false Pos 5days post Pregnyl, then a true Neg day 6. Could be diff for everyone though. Get that BT Girl!!XX And best wishes to you XX
Morning all! Greetings from sunny Sydney where I stupidly got sunburnt yesterday. Typical bloody Pom...!
Hubbie is off giving his presentation as we speak to a boring conference, and has left his laptop behind and so I have five mins to say hello!
V quick thoughts - I agree Ovidrel will be out your system 14 days later. If you are not on anything else, and used the kit correctly (like you aren't reading it 4 hours later, which could be an evaporation shadow) then yes, I'd start to be getting mildly excited. Ha ha ha who are we kidding, I'd have the naming book whipped out and be underlining nice ones. I hope it's the answer we all hope for and very good luck x
Airline - I probably look at it from a slightly different angle. The problem with most foods that you are warned about is because of salmonella/ listeria. And with far too many food hygeinists in the family, they will tell you that the two issues are source and time. If you got the eggs from a reputable place, cooked them yourself in hygenic conditions, and ate them straight you are at low risk and I wouldn't worry too much. Similarly, if you eat something higher risk, but that is highly turned over and therefore very fresh, also lower risk (I had veggie sushi from the best selling place in Melbourne last week and didn't even think about it.). Where source and time that the food has been sat around, then I'd be cautious - most particularly, buffets and barbeques. I've just had breakfast in the hotel and wandered round thinking the same thing!
Terry - really sorry to hear your news. I hope your husband is looking after you and that you are being cuddled lots.
Murraycod - I hope you are feeling ok. I am surprised that anyone can function at all as my *TMI*** nipples are suddenly bigger than Belgium and threatening to take over the whole Western seaward side of Australia. They are weapons of mass destruction. New Zealand, watch out. But not itchy or hot... should they be itchy and hot???? oh no now I have a new thing to look out for!!!
Anyway, I hope you are all travelling well and not going do lally. AFM - I have seen a dugong for the first time and am deeply excited about that. That's the good thing about being a tourist, you can go to Acquaria on your own and not look like a weirdo. I've also had a fight with a very very rude taxi driver who was v threatening and I got out the taxi whilst it was moving. Bought the worlds most expensive bra, because I'm feeling fat and horrible and it is a thing of beauty. Had a swim outside at the Boy Charlton pool, very lovely. And lots of sitting around sleeping with no dog to wake me up. That said, I'm looking forward to getting back and picking her up. My stomach cramps have stopped now, can't decide if that is good or not?
LM - what you said about food makes sense. Hmmm will have to think more along your lines. sounds like you're having a blast in Sydney. Yes, us Poms are a bit obvious to spot.....Lobster on da beach! I've given my labby girl an extra rub as she lies at/on my feet for you, seeing as yours isn't with you. As for your 22 bullets of nipples, my nipples get very sensitive...brushing the towel against them OOWWWW!, so I'd say it's a good sign. Again, symptoms will manisfest them in different ways every time we get a shot at the money slot (so to speak) I got really itchy legs the other day...no explanation...I wondered if it was the Crinone gel ...not that it goes anywhere near my legs sadly...that'd be more pleasant probably!
Murraycod - lovin' your work on the lack of cooking! Genius! Remember to take it easy with that housework. I'm doing things...slowly and not the manic way I often attack everything to get it done and dusted (pardon pun)
Coral - by the time I got to your 'so I bought a packet of 3 POAS tests' I was smiling! We go from self control to the point of smugness to full flow mad woman sitting on the floor with 11 pee sticks spread around her from various manufacturers squinting and comparing them.
I really don't know how long Ovidrel stays in system..but you said it was 14 days from taking it, it seems such a long time...but I really can't answer for sure. I'm sure someone on here will have an answer from their fs. Your test is 2 days before mine...it's getting close m'dear. These last few days are when I swing more and more from +ve to -ve and back again. Here's a sprig of clover for you
Starbright - hope you're having a nice time away. Catch up with your news (no more squeezing!) later.
AFM - well, I babysat last night and the girls 8 and 9 decided to watch up...DH hadn't seen it and so we watched the first 10 min and as I posted previously it makes very obvious reference to not being able to have a family...I had to walk out to 'get some water', thought I'd be ok, but just too much even the second time. It's silly I know, it's a kids animation, but...
Anyway, I had a couple of moments where when the youngest girl was asleep and I checked on her, I just started to well up. I've always told her mum I'm fine babysitting cos they're older, but it got to me a couple of times last night, but I kept it in check.
Have noticed I'm pretty tired....similar to that of last cycle, but could very probably be the crinone, so attempting to not focus on it. Haven't had any stirrings the last 24 hours...and the splodge would be into its 11th day today so wonder if the minor stirrings and couple of sharp stabs were implantation. At the end of the day...WHO KNOWS?!!!
Wish me luck, I've got the 'non-babyshower' babyshower. I'm gonna try and be strong, but after last night.... I think out of 6 there's 2 of us without babies. Have a good sunday, sorry for long post.x
airline ~ my DH and I watched Up the other week and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I could really sympathize with the Fredericksen's once they discovered they could not have children. However one thing that did come to mind was how far assisted conception technology had come and childless couples today are given some hope of realising their dreams of becoming parents, unlike the Fredericksens and other couples in that era.
Like you I had some major cramps on the 10th dpo and after that nothing....so not too sure what's happening down there at the moment. If I go on my previous natural cycles I would be expecting AF tomorrow. I have no other symptoms - no sore/swollen boobs, tiredness, nausea etc. I am planning to POAS tomorrow and see what happens.
Hope you survive the baby shower ! FX you will be having your own baby shower in 6 months time!
Londonmiss ~ sounds like the sights of Sydney are keeping you occupied for a few days during this agonising 2WW period! I hope the weather is good in Sydney as it's very average in Melbourne at the moment!
Coral73~ Sorry I don't know what to make out about your mixed results. However two lines albeit faint is promising. Don't give up yet! FX for Tuesday!
murraycod ~ Good to hear that DH has been spoiling you and you haven't had a need to cook in several days! I think that while we are on this emotional, physical roller coaster we should encourage as much support as possible!
Hello to everyone else - hope you are all keeping sane during this TWW!
I hope everyone is doing well...! I am going to attempt some personals but if I accidently miss you than sending you lots and lots of stickyvibes!!!
melttc - Thanks meltttc... me and DH have everything crossed as well! GOOD LUCK with the POAS tomorrow if you go ahead with it! :Praying that it will show you 2 special little lines! Hope you are doing well .
airline - You did really well to babysit even though it was for older kids... I missed a friend's b'day yesterday who is pregnant as there was going to babies galore and I just would have lost it! I hope the 'non-babyshower' babyshower went well today!
You are so right.... I have now done a total of 6 POAS's and do feel a little like a mad women! I think its a good sign you are tired, especially if that was what you were like last cycle! that the minor stirrings and sharp stabs were implantation!
LondonMiss - Sounds like you are having a great time in Sydney! Good to hear that you are spoiling yourself... we so deserve it during this 2WW!
murraycod - Good to hear that DH has been taking good care of you... I have been lucky and DH has been a bit the same! Glad to hear the cramping has gone.... It is so difficult to think of anything else whilst that is going on! Thanks for the post about the Hcg.... I just so hope it isn't still in my system!
Star`bright - I know what you mean... I don't know what I would do without all you ladies to share symptoms and feeling with! Even DH is now asking me for updates on everyone, he, he! Sending you lots and lots of !
Meg76/ Moonflower - Thinking of you both and hoping that you are doing well . Sending some your way!
AFM - Well... I think that I am actually more stressed out now than before taking the HPT's! I did another test at 1:30pm today and still the magic 2 pink lines (looked a little stronger as well - yay!).... I am so scared that it is Hcg still in my system! I rang one of the nurses from the clinic for advice and she said that it would 'most probably' be out of my system by now, however, there is still a small percentage that it isn't and they have seen it happen to girls before... I am going to do another HPT tomorrow morning and see what it brings ! If it still looks good, I will wait till BT on Tuesday, however, if it appears weaker/ negative I will go in for BT on Monday... 'ing that this could be the one!
Nearly forgot my symptom update: I have noticeable blue veins across my BB's and a little on my chest... that's a good sign isn't it?? Also cramping seems to have subsied and been replaced with a kind of stitch feeling near my left ovary... no idea if that means anything... also, after I eat my tummy sort of rumnbles a little - not always, but enough to notice...

ooh I'm back! Hello! Why my location matters on an internet blog, I don't know but anyway!! Coral - I think if the lines are getting stronger, and on midday wee, that's a good sign.
I have to heartily recommend a trip away in the two week wait if you can do it. It's made a real difference to my crazyness, something else to concentrate on. Had another fight with a cab driver on the way home. Grrrr.
I've had my first thought of "not my month" today. **TMI warning *** normally before my period starts, me, and my wee, smells sweet and it does today. I am trying to convince myself that it's only to do with the amount of cake that I've had in the last 72 hours, but my previously rock solid optimism is slightly failing.
LondonMiss- putting my nurses hat on lol, sweet smelling urine can be a sign of infection, so FX for you
Coral-OMG I would be getting very excited if I was you, definitly sounding +++++. Last cycle I tested around day 7-8 past EPU just to see if it would show the hcg still in my system and got a BFN
Mel- FX for your POAS tomorrow I hope you see those two magic little lines
airline- so sorry last night was difficult for you & all those extra hormones floating around dont help one little bit (((hugs)))
Terry- so sorry ((hugs))
Murrycod- that could be a good sign, the 'gush' a few of the girls who have had bfp's have reported a simalar thing FX
AFM- I dont think I have posted my news of the w/e. I went for a job interview on Friday & I got the job
I have to give my notice tomorrow as my current work, but should be finished there & starting new job in two weeks.
So murphy's law says I will most likely be UTD this monthNot that it will be a bad thing, but will make things somewhat tricky, especially as the only doc in my town that delievers babies will be one of my new employers hmmmmmm.
Anyways the whole job thing has kept my mind mostly off worrying in the TWW. I dont feel I have as many symptoms as I did last cycle, not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Bursting to POAS but I am only 8dp epu Will wait it out til at least Tuesday, then it will be 10dp
Murray Cod- how are you going? Glad to here you're a little better?
Hehe about DH, you sound like me, actually I'm worse I don't cook at all! I can't believe I just admitted that.
Airline- Just going back to what we eat- This is what I've stayed clear of; alcohol, caffeine (with the exception of chocolate- I figure if that's the only caffeine I'm having, I'm doing alright. :rolleyes & softcheese. I've had sandwich turkey, but it looked pretty good.
It is so hard to be perfect during a 2WW, because we have been here so many times with sad outcomes.
I'm sorry the babysitting was a bit much. Maybe not a good idea for the 2WW.
Coral- I'm so secretly excited for you!!! this is it for you! I'm a POAS addict too. I'm just deciding when I will do it
LondonMiss- It sounds like Sydney treated you well. I've seen the 'mermaids of the sea' at Darling harbour. They are gorgeous.
Hehe about the cake! I know that feeling. I jump minute to minute from feeling 'P'
(can't verbalise it) to feeling like AF is arriving.
Mel- GL with your POAS tomorrow.
Tracy- Congratulations on getting the job. Super news! We both have BT on the 7th. I was thinking of ding a POAS on Wednesday. That would make me 7dp 6det. I hope murphy's law works in your favour.
AFM- I'm really struggling with obsessing about possible symptoms. The only problem is I don't want to talk to DH about them because I don't want to get his hopes up. Basically, I've gone totally crazy. And I'm still trying not to squeeze my BB every 2 minutes. I still can't decide if they're tender or not??
starbright - don't you sometimes have the feeling that your boobs are tender because you feel them so often that you are making them tender??? ... (I do) .....
Hi All. I've finally made it back into the 2ww for my third cycle of HRT FET! 5 day blasty on board!! Now for the yukky 2ww. Hope everyone is ok in here.
hello baby2bee, welcome back to the thread and good luck for a BFP.
Coral - email us when you have any news.
AFM - I am bored bored bored, this 2ww is a tedious, despite the break awya. Spoke to the doc though, and confirmed that if this months IUI hasn't worked, we'll be doing a short IVF cycle with ICSI (I'll spend the whole afternoon at work googling rates for ICSI, now!!!) so that's good news I think. I wish they could give you a pill and make you sleep for 2 weeks, and just inject you with broccoli gloop or something healthy so that time flies and you wake up to a blood test result.
Hope you don't mind if I plonk myself down in this thread, just joined BB yesterday, and was delighted to find this thread! Stayed up til 1am reading everyone's posts, it lifted my spirits no end, and made me realise that a) I'm not alone and b) I'm not going (too) crazy!
Just to fill you in on where I'm at - currently towards the end of a cancelled IUI cycle - did 13 days of Puregon injects, with ridiculously slow follicle growth (Murraycod, I know what you mean), only to find out that DH had to ship out to PNG for 3 weeks, and no time to freeze any soldiers. So I'm now on day 31, cycle is usually 26 or 27, with no BT booked in as cycle cancelled! Feel a bit "all at sea" as I don't know when the end of the 2WW is. Have already POAS twice (I'm a fullblown addict), BFN both times.
Coral73 - I got so excited for you reading your posts, best of luck for the BT!
Good luck to Airline, Murraycod and all you other lovely ladies too! I think that every LTTTCer and AC/ARTer should get a medal as well as a baby, you have to have nerves of steel to go through this. Which I don't think I have... just a lot of grey hairs!
Look forward to following all of your progress - for all of you!
Cheers,
Leabie.

Leabie - you are very welcome. I did exactly the same thing as you when I joined - reading into the night!! It is so refreshing to find ladies who are going through the same ghastly journey! I only wish I'd found it sooner...
It's only 2.14 and I'm dying to go home already, this is not a good work day clearly!!
