Congratulations Seph I just knew that this was going to be the one for you. You changed a few things by going to blastie and transferring 2 embies instead of one, and since your ET, I've thought that this one was going to work for you. I am absolutely thrilled for you, and you are definitely more than deserving of this BFP. You've waited a long time for this so enjoy it. I can only hope that I am as lucky as you for my next FET.
It so fantastic to see you finally acheive your dream. It truely is a lucky number 7 for you! Wishing you all the best for a happy & healthy pregnancy.
Just dropping back in to say another thank you to everyone for your support and wishes. It really does mean a lot - DH and I haven't quite got a grasp on the situation, so I can't get any sense out of him!
Hi Seph, A BFC (Big Fat Congratulations!!!!...I bet you are still in shock! I think it is a shock to the system even when it is all planned (and even to the minute as in IVF!) I wish you an amazingly happy & healthy pregnancy.
I hope you are adjusting OK. I am so,so happy for you. What an amazing result. What is the next step? Do you go back for further BT or on to another doc now??
Your support and experiences have helped me a great deal over the last couple of months (as our cycles have been very similar at times) and I am thrilled that someone as passionate as you are in supporting others has finally found success!
I am travelling OK, I haven't touched another HPT and will wait until tomorrow's BT. Just waiting for a bit of closure tomorrow and will figure out next step in the next few days.I am feeling a bit off, but thinking it is due to the estrogen & progesteron medication. (Have been on the estrogen double original dose for a few weeks now)
DH brought me breakfast in bed yesterday AND took me out for dinner last night.... he knows how to cheer me up (ie food). I think I have put on about 3kg's this cycle as I have been eating heaps due to constant nausea (and self comforting). I lost 10kg at the end of last year and half put 1/2 that back on whilst doing IVF, so I think I'll concentrate my efforts on getting healthier over the next few months.
Just popping in to say a big congratulations to Seph . What fabulous news!!!!!
Tantee- I with you on food and weight comment. I feel exactly the same, lost weight last year, started ivf and it is all back on again. Good luck with blood test tomorrow. What a lovely DH you have.
Hello all. Had my second IUI on saturday and am now finally back in the TWW ("back on the horse" as my FS mystifyingly referred it - ?!)> Slightly miffed that I was given a scanty 90 seconds post IUI to lie there... as the stand in FS was off to the game and rushed out the door scarf and gear on quicker than a post-coital playboy.
Quick question - I'm working from home today and would quite like to go for a swim. It'll be 48hrs pls post IUI - that'll be ok won't it? I mean once it's past your cervix, that's ok isn't it?
I hereby promise not to POAS for 13 more days. If I do, you may all shout at me loudly.
Congratulations on getting back on the horse as your FS called it, he, he! Good Luck with your TWW and I hope that it brings you that long awaited BFP . With the swimming, I would say that it is absolutely fine and even a good thing if it will relax you. The only thing to remember is that you should avoid getting your heart rate up so no swimming laps! Plus, I have been told to avoid saunas/ hot baths after an ET so if the pool is heated I would probably give it a miss.
If you are really not sure than I would just make a quick call to FS to check so that you can ease your mind, lol.

thanks - me swimming laps is quite funny, I swim about 0.1 miles per hour and I don't like to get my face wet : ) A little old lady tut-tutted at me the other day. I suspect my definition of "slow lane" is quite different to a healthy, athletic Australian octogenarian's!!!
Thanks girls for your wishes, they are greatly appreciated. I did an HPT this morning. No luck. Am waiting for nurse to call with results (closure) and talk about next step.
LondonMiss - glad to hear all went well, albeit a little quickly. Lucky he wasn't yet in support mode eg. cheering etc, that could have been awkward.
Well I was right (sorry to say for once!). I'm out. It was a BFN.
I'm thinking I will jump into the next stim cycle asap. The FS nurse said to call on CD1 to check it they are able to fit me in that round. I am crossing my fingers as I imagine there must be a bit of a rush for many to get in one last cycle of the year for Medicare purposes. Has anyone experienced this?
I want to thank you all for your support and wish you all the very best for your 2WW. I hope your dreams are realised in this cycle. I will be popping back into my usual thread at Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception but really hope that you all keep me posted on your progress as my thoughts will be with you all and as Arnie says..... I will be back (but hopefully many of you will be in the preg threads by then)
A bucketload of babydust to each and everyone of you!
I'm sorry that you now have an official BFN and big hugs to you . I'll keep everyting crossed for you that you are able to get in and do another stim straight up.
I haven't heard anything from my FS about possibly not being able to get in due to the last minute rush before Jan 01, 2010. I've even spoken with them about doing another stim after this one (have only just started Lucrin last Wednesday). They told me that as long as you start your FSH injections before January 1st then you can claim the cycle as being 2009 and not 2010. Hope this helps and a big Good Luck for the next cycle .
tantee - I am so sorry to read about your BFN. My finger were crossed that your HPT was a false negative. I have read and heard from my FS that the 1 Jan changes to Medicare are not as bad as first thought and depends on your clinics charges. ie if your clinic is reasonably priced it will have no or little impact. Impact will generally only be seen at clinics that have high charges.... this has apparently reassured many and stopped a mad rush so far. I hope you find your success soon. x
Hi,
Im hoping I can jump onto this thread..Im new to the site and have just had my 1st FET and am in my 2ww wait. This is my 1st go with IVf/ICSI as on my 1st stim cycle I over responded and ended up with mild-moderate OHSS so they wouldnt allow a transfer.
I seriously have my fingers crossed fo this embie to stick, as it has been a trying 15mths for us. I dont really know what to expect in this wait though, so Im hoping for some support with all the experience here
I am 3dp transfer with a 5day blastie. I am a little nervous though as the 1st 3 blasties they thawed died, and they had to thaw a 4th one on the same morning as my transfer...
the doc said it was uncommon but that there is no explanation as to why they didnt survive the thaw.
Now Im trying not to think about it, but I still have another week to wait...
Me 32 fertile
DH 37 4% morphology
1st ivf/ICSI stim cycle-26 eggs, 19 fertilised, 10 survived,4xd2 frozen, 6xd5 frozen
NO ET due to OHSS
2nd cycle- FET with d5 blastie - 2ww
