Well we are out of the running. BFN on POAS and strong AF cramps - same as she gets on a normal cycle. No actual AF yet though.

Oh Mel i so hope you get TWO cause that would be awesome.

Me well i keep getting AF pains so i guess it wont be far away. We went out for a family fathers day dinner tonight. Robs sister who i HATE with a passion pipes up and says she 6 weeks preg. I told her 9 weeks ago we were doing IVF so it didn't take her long to take over the show. It was a big mistake she said and i haven't had a period since i stopped breast feeding 3 months ago.Don't you have to get a period to Ovulate??? She has two boys under two. You see in Robs family there are no girls at all except her. So the spotlight has been on her her hole life so i guess she was worried someone else might get a little bit of it and not her. I guess she might have been worried that i might just fall pregnant and maybe get a girl and she would be the first one to get the girl. I had to sit there all night trying to hold back the tears while they all sat there and talking about it and laughed. I'm happy for them but they could have at least waited till i had my BT on the 12th cause they all knew when it was. Then she starts asking me if i was pregnant now how far along would i be. My god she just has no brain and if she had one she would be dangerous. Sorry for rambling im just angry and upset.

Rols- dont give up hope mate it might be nothing.

    Hi all,

One week til BT now.... the wait is killing me. Took another HPT this morning (see once I start I can't stop) technically I am 14 days DPO (EPU for me) so I would think that a HPT that picks up HCG of 10 would have shown up as positive if I was pregnant...still got a negative though so maybe I should just prepare myself. I finish the Crinone today so maybe that is all that is keeping AF away. We will find out in the next couple of days I guess. I do hear stories of women who don't get positive HPT's for 2 or 3 weeks after AF is late but still have successful pregnancies...maybe there is a glimmer of hope for me yet. It's just so hard to stay positive.

Anyway...Hope things are going better for everyone else today

    Cheers
    Shelly

    Hi everyone
So sorry to hear about the insensitive family mother of 5, i dont get it, you can understand one little slip up, but when they go on and on!!!! I have to say this is my third cycle and one was cancelled due to overstimulation, but the waits are killer espicially with all these hormones flowing through your body. I read your stories and i think you should all be so proud, it take so much strength and dedication to continue treatments, it shows true character and i know we will all get there in the end
Happy Mel big congrats, that is awesome, stay positive.
Well i have 5 days till BT but i had my last prgnyl shot on sat so i dont think i'll be able to home test as it wont be out of my system, so the wait is on.
To everyone who is spotting and cramping, i had that with my last pregnancy as well as hematoma's and went on to have a bouncing baby boy (who's now 4) so keep your chin up, you never know

    Hello everyone!

I'm a long time BB reader, but don't post much. Here I sit in the 2WW, I never actually thought I'd get this far! Hubby had a PESA same day as my egg retrieval last week, as he had a vasectomy in 2002, AND had chemo last year. Well, he had so many swimmers! 22 eggs retrieved, 12 fertilised, I had a 2 day embie transferred on Saturday and 8 frozen. My transferred embie had 4 cells, I thought it would have more. I didn't even ask why they didn't go to blast - my clinic is very busy, and personalised care is out the window.
This is my first (hopefully last) IVF. I feel so free from all the stims and sniffing - but am going crazy, madly googling implantation, statistics, etc!!
Anyway, just saying hi. Good luck to everyone in the 2WW!

Hey topcat. I too had day two transfer and they were both at 4 cells. They like to do a day two transfer because days three is normally the make or break stage i think and its normally very hard for them to make it past then. I had my transfer saturday before you. I think implant is between days 4 to 6 my clinic told me. Good luck with it all. There is another thread just under this one that says Blast Vs day 2 transfer. Have a read of it its very interesting

Hi Mumof5, im sorry that your dinner wasnt so good last night. Robs sister sounds very insensitive, i think some people just dont get IVF or infertility and well, they dont want to. Its bad enough to just blurt out at dinner that she is pregnant, but then to go on and ask you how preg would you be if you were.... whats with that?? I hope you dont have to see her to often! Try not let her get to you, she doesnt sound like a very nice person, at least, she sounds insensitive and you dont need people like that around you right now, you have more important things to be thinking about!!!
Hi topcat, i know about the driving you crazy thing with goggling stuff!! Does your head in sometimes doesnt it??!!! DH thinks im mad!! I hope that your 2ww goes really fast, sending you lots of
Scooby, not long to go now, fingers crossed!!
Hi Shelly, dont worry too much about the HPT yet. They dont always pick up a positive anyway- i have heard so many stories about them. I really hope things turn out well.
Nat how are things going today?? How are you Lucia???
Hi to BG and anyone else here in the 2ww.

    Hi Everyone
Mumof5 - It must of been so horrible to sit there and hear about your sister in laws pregnancy. How insensitive of her as she knows what your are going through. That really annoyes me. I am currently going through the same thing with my sister in law who I don't really like. She has just announced to everyone today that she is 3 months pregnant. We knew before hand so we have had to put up with her talking about it all the time and even trying to give us advice. We haven't told family about IVF as I can't be bothered with their opinon's as you just don't need it as its hard enough.
Scooby - Good luck for your blood test, not long now. My spotting turned out to be my AF, so starting synarel on day 21 ready for ICSI.
Hi Topcat - Good luck with your BT. I was a freek with google also hehe! Looked every possible sign word I knew.
Hi Happymel - me had a little cry today as got my BT and as I mentioned above sister in law announcing her pregnancy. I knew that we would fall this time, don't mean to sound negative but I just had this feeling as we transferred a Day 6 Blast and it was only a Grade 2. So this time we have decided to do ICSI as last time we had 14 eggs and only 1 Blast as we chose IVF. I was a little scared of ICSI and I don't know why. I was a and still a little of ICSI and I don't why. How are you feeling??? You must be over the moon!! So when can you find out if there is more than one?
Can anyone give me some advice on ICSI??

Im sorry things didnt work this time Nat. It really sucks. Isnt it hard when people around you are constantly talking about preg?? At my work, a couple girls were well into preg when i m/c. One in particular was so insensitive, im like WT??? I dont understand how some people just dont get it. Its prob just as well she doesnt know you guys are doing IVF, she'd prob ask more questions then!!! Just try keep positive and dont let her upset you too much, you will be there soon
ICSI- we never really had the choice. DH has poor sperm quality- all of it, so its like that or nothing. Im not sure, does your DH have any sperm problems??? I know that 14 eggs leading to 1 blast doesnt sound great, but giving ICSI a chance may change this, it may not. First cycle we had 11 eggs and 2 blasts, second cycle 12 eggs and 3 blasts which is great (all ICSI). They say a good result will end in one good blast to t/f and then hopefully one to freeze, or more if you are really really lucky. It depends a lot on egg quality and fertilisation. Lots of women on here get many many eggs (usually the girls who have PCOS), but its quality that you want and the fertilisation rate for you guys might be better with ICSI. Dont be scared of it, they do it all the time!! And if there is a problem with the egg or if its damaged or whatever, then the embryo just wont grow. I think its really worth giving ICSI a go, it prob wont be any less than last cycle, and cross fingers, you may get some great embies. I really hope so!!! If you have lots of questions too, on the egg collection day, its good to talk to the scientists, they really can contribute a lot.
When do i find out if its 2- well, the first u/s which is on the 18th. Im just hoping to see a heartbeat. We will both be happy then!
    I hoped i helped a little

Hey Mel, I just had a thought. Remember a few weeks ago when you thought your cycle was a write off due to follie numbers? Look where you're at now! This made me smile.
