One tube....help!

I too have recently conceived with one tube. I lost my other to ectopic pregnancy 15months ago. We had been ttc for 2years and had 2 m/c before my ectopic pregnancy. When my tube was removed they could see it had been damaged for a long time which is what caused the ectopic pregnancy and they thought this was also why I had m/c my other 2 pregnancies as the tube was making the environment toxic. Now it is gone I guess that risk has been reduced and we are now 13weeks pregnant. Hopefully your sick tube that was removed was making the uterus toxic to ant embies and now its gone you will fall pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy.

I have heard clomid can increase the chance of falling pregnant as your more likely to release more the one egg thus increasing the chances of catching one. They didn't give me clomid as they said I ovulate so well on my own and we did get there eventually although it did take 12months post surgery. Yes the doctor did say that the tube was causing a toxic environment with liquid flushing out any fertilised eggs. So it's nice thinking everything is healthy now. I do have issues with the other tube. It's not great but Doc reckons it functions well enough to leave in. Bothr ovaries also look ok (not great but ok)...........damage from a ruptured appendix.

I asked about clomid which she said may help and so she was happy to let me take it. Although she thinks IVF is really our best option.

After trying for 4 years now (obviously wasting a lot of time!). I just feel so tired, and frustrated. I guess I have to get my mind back into the zone and realise this could now be the start rather than being 4 years down the line! Some days though it's just too hard to get over.

I still have two tubes but one is completely blocked due to previous infection (undiagnosed for 4 years after postnatal complications ie the dr left a pad inside me). My dr didn't give me clomid as my cycles were regular, and I fell preg naturally two cycles after completing antibiotics to clear up the infection.

I am hoping that now your toxic tube is gone you will have the same result. I know how you feel it just drags on forever with test after test. But try to stay positive, as now is the start of a different type of TTC (without the toxic tube). I will have my fingers crossed for you...
