    Ovarian reserve test stuff up

I was called by my gynocologists office today. They said they had been made aware of an issue with some women's ovarian reserve test - I think its called the AMH test? Apparently some women got false low results. They are sending me information and I will be able to have the test again for free but makes me quite upset. Mine came back as "adequate" I wasn't told the number though. Hopefully my test was fine but makes me wonder about other women affected - what if they commenced fertility treatment early because of a low test result? I had the test over a year ago, its taken a long time for the lab to realise!

    Anyone else affected by this?

Mmmm this is interesting! I had the test 2 times and both times it came back low - first time was level was 6, second time a year later it came back at 4.9. I am going to get mine rechecked once I've had this (my last) bub (not that it matters, but I just want to see how much my levels may have declined after another year and a bit).

During what timeframe? I had mine almost two years ago now, before I fell pregnant with DD2, and it came back at around 4 from memory, which is ridiculously low for my age. Then I got pregnant (accidentally, I might add) with DD2 like a month or two later. So I'm really interested in this.

Im not sure of the timeframe, but my test was done October 2012 and the gyno's room called me in October 2013 checking if I had got the letter from them which explained the issue. Maybe call the pathologist or specialist you saw when you had the test.

I am SOOOOO hoping this might be the case. I had a test mid last yr (2013) and level was under 1....which at 35 is a terrible blow. I so want number 4, but haven't had a period since my chem pregnancy last yr (march). They r saying I have been thru menopause and I have no chance without IVF, but I am pretty sure I O'd almost 9 days ago and am cramping terribly and I have lots of creamy cm which I have NOT had for a yr (in fact was so dry they put me on oestrogen pessaries which I haven't taken in 2 weeks really as I forgot. Been working 24hr days for a week). Please tell me there is a chance?! I have had 3 healthy natural bubs, and 4 m/c's including the chem pg. I want this one to stick

Katkins - Are you going to ring your Doc to ask about getting the test done again?
