Hi,

I'm not sure if I can be of much help but thought I would share what I know.

A friend of mine had a pituitary tumour and couldn't conceive but I think it may have been a different type, hers was making her produce too much prolactin (the breastfeeding hormone) so she didn't get periods and therefore couldn't conceive. She was prescribed bromocriptine which slowly lowers the prolactin level and eventually she must have ovluated while on the drug as she managed to have one period and three babies in 7 years!

My husband also has a pituitary tumour called agromegaly which makes him produce too much growth hormone. Again, this is a benign tumour but it causes a lot of changes to the body, some of which are very extreme. He has had the surgery to remove the tumour. They remove it through the nose. He saw an endocrinologist (so did my friend) as they are specialists in hormones. If I were you, I would make an appointment with a recommended endocrinologist as they are the drs who handle this type of situation and should know a lot more about it than your OB. Hopefully it is something that can either be removed or treated with meds and then you can go on and have a gorgeous little bub!

I hope this has been of some help. Let me know how you go, I will be thinking of you

Bun xx
