    JD,
I also did cycles on Puregon after clomid failed me...the only problem was for me that so many follies came up I was banned from bding as the ethical risk of having 12 embies...it was either a feast or a famine.
I'm glad it worked for you as for levels..ahh I'm not sure 125 seems a little high if nothing is going on. But then again I have no idea of levels

I am so glad to hear that someone conceived on this drug. While the injections aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be I hit a blood vessle on my third shot and got a massive bruise. It looked worse than it felt. Did you have the hcg injection?

Anyway I have been ttc since aug 06 diganosed with PCOS dec 06. Given Clomid for 6 months that didn't work so now been put on Puregon I was hoping to find other women who have had success with puregon. It is great to know there are other woman out there going through the same things as myself.

Briggsy's girl - thanks for that, that is so good to know. I had my first injection this morning. The FSH is to support IUI for me so I am very excited and hoping it will work. There is no reason for it not to but it's scary and exciting anyway.

    What does were you on?
    Thanks so much!

    And congratulations!!!

    Hi girls,

This is my first time on a forum so sorry I am not familiar with most of the abbreviations.

My background: I don't ovulate so going down the path of OI before IVF. I have been through 4 cycles of clomid with no response what so ever. But had terrible emotional side effects. Horrible stuff!

1st cycle of puregon with pregnyl triger produced 2 eggs that were released. But to no evail

2nd cycle produced about 6 so had to abandon the cycle

This is now my third cycle and had trigger shot Saturday 24th and hopefully ovulated morning of 26th. Pregnal support shots on 29th, 1st and tomorrow (4th Feb).

I have been naughty and doing lots of HPT's. I am geting a really faint 2nd line but realise this could be the pregnyl?? (also it is only 8 days after ovulation I guess) Does anyone know when I could do a HPT and get a reliable result??? I just cant wait

I am also getting quite bad pain behind my left hip and it hurts to walk and sit. The FS said this was quite normal. Has anyone else experienced similar??

    Thanks and goodluck everyone

    Hi Noodles
    Welcome to BB!
Anything is possible! In general a 10,000 iu trigger shot of pregnyl would take about 10 days until you were clear to test (which by your dates would be today), but it may still be around.

I know it is hard but pregnyl can cause false positives and you will probably have to wait until your blood test or when your clinic says to POAS.
Sorry but I don't know about the pain you are experiencing.

I hope this round gives you the BFP you so want.

    Hey Noodles,
I've been told at my clinic not to POAS following the pregnyl at all and to wait for the blood tests.

I've not had my trigger yet though with the IUI so it is easy for me to say. I'm sure I'll be desperate to see if I am pg.

Sit tight though babe, only a few more days to wait!!

    Hi noodles!

We have lost of similarities! We are same age, no response with clomid and now trying FSH and pregnyl. Do you have PCOS? I had trigger on 22nd and had my last pregnyl boost today with BT on Monday 9th. I got lots of ovary pain but not really in my hip. I phoned the clinic and they said that it was probably just swollen ovaries.

I've been reading lots about POAS and it seems that it's generally not recommended as it can give false hope. Even a small 1500 dose can stay in your system for 4-5 days so generally your blood test is more reliable. It's hard not to do it though. I did one yesterday just to check if I was doing the pregnyl injections properly really and it came up faint positive (2 days post 1500 dose). I think I'll try and not do another until my BT.

Getting lots of period type pain now and PMS symtoms ? drugs? cos it hasn't worked?

    Anyway, good luck!!!

    hello

hi there, it's a while since the last post so just wondering if any of you girls are still watching this thread....

i took my first puregon injection today for our first IUI cycle and am interested in what you've all been saying about it, and also in having someone to share this path with as my usual forum in births.com.au all talk about clomid but noone seems to be on puregon...

let me know if you're still on the thread!

    cheers
