Thought I'd say hello I don't post often but your story sounded v similar to mine! I have just started IVF after 3 failed IUI's, I think we are pretty much at the same stage with the IVF & I to am v nervous! I was supposed to start the Synarel nasal spray on Tues but my clinic had run out & the expected delivery had been delayed so I had no choice but to take the alternative - Lupron, which is an injectable!
I take it you didn't do the Pregnyl trigger shots with your IUI then? We had to do 4 a month so have got used to injecting at home, DH does mine, I have to put something over my head so I can't see him doing it otherwise I keep trying to grab his hand!!!! The Lupron is a syringe type, same as the triggers so we haven't had to many problems with it. I think the stims will be fairly easy for us given we are having to do daily injections at the moment, an extra 1 a day won't hurt! (Well it will hurt but you know what I mean).
I am on day 4 of the Lupron & so far just some mild headaches & bloating, hope it stays that way.
My clinic want us to take a week off around the eggie time, they also told DH that I have to be treated like a princess, no cooking, cleaning or work for 5 days. Sounds good to me, I think by the time I get to that stage I will deserve some "me" time!!!
