I agree sometimes it is best just to leave things the way they are if it is working. I was going to have my bloods done where I used to work but it isn't worth the hassle, as my IVF nurses are used to getting the results from one place and if I mess around with it something may go wrong or results get lost. Just not worth it.

I totally understand your feelings that IVF might not work. I am scared of the same thing. My partner and I have been trying for 4 years and have been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" which just sucks. We went through a lot of tests and exploratory surgery for me and they just can't find anything wrong. And I guess after 4 years of being heartbroken every single month I sort of don't know how to be any other way. I am just conditioned to being disappointed all the time. Now I am so excited and so nervous and scared all at the same time. I am trying to get on with my everyday life, which is pretty hectic at the moment as well, and every now and then it just hits me and I go all weak at the knees and feel a bit panicky.

Are you going to be doing IVF with ICSI or just the standard way? That is the other thing I am worried about. We are doing it the standard way because there is no reason to suggest it won't work, but then my specialist added it may be at this stage they work out what is wrong and then have to go another cycle doing ICSI instead. I know a lot of people go through many IVF cycles before it works for them but I am just hoping and praying that it happens first go.

I agree with your partner and I feel good to know there is someone close by going through the same thing as me. My other half is very supportive as well, but he can't really experience what I am feeling and he is such a big chicken S*** he won't even give me my injections!! I have to do it myself. Will your partner be helping you with your injections or is she a bit squeamish? I gave myself another little bruise tonight

If you are anything like me you may feel a little disappointed when you start taking the Provera and you get absolutely no symptoms. That must sound really strange to some people, but I sort of just wanted to some way feel a bit "different". It is hard to believe it is actually working otherwise! I haven't even really had many symptoms with the Lucrin expect from feeling a bit headachy.

Anyway, I seem to have written you a short novel almost and my other half wants to use the computer so I'd better go. Please feel free to send me private messages or use my email address which is koda28@hotmail.com. It would be great if we could meet up sometime and share stories, hopefully very soon we will be sharing success stories!

Take care

Jane
