I have a shocker....I went to my family GP when I first suspected I was pregnant with Emily. The doctor took the test, came back in the room and said
"Pregnant.......do you want to keep it"
WTF!!!!!! DH (boyfriend at the time) nearly went ballistic!!!!
When Dr followed me out into the waiting room to talk to the receptionist he gave us both a filthy look. Found out later he DISAPPROVES of babies born outside of marriage!!!!
Its doctors like these who put you off going when you think something could be wrong.
I had a encounter with one during a visit to the emergency section. Plain old fart who thought his opinion was the only one and I was wasting their time
I agree with Debbie Lee - write a formal complaint. It will be taken seriously. Awful man.
I'm in Adelaide and I saw Dr. Chris Sexton (Ob & Gyno) for my fertility problems. He was UNREAL! Such a fantastic bedside manner. His clinic is in Warwick St, Walkerville.
I am in SA and I went to a really good female doctor at Hyde Park medical centre. Not sure if thats anywhere near you? She specialises in womens health, and she referred me to a wonderful ob/gyn who I absolutely trust & respect. The GP is Angela Hill, and the specialist Karen Chandler (Attunga medical centre, next to Burnside hospital).
