    hi

    Hi Ladies

    how are you all?

Naenae- how u feeling with ur moxa & 2nd acupuncture session? Ive had a few sessions where its been a bit painful when that needle went in! Ive had moxabustion done a few times now; and like you find it really warms the tummy up.. altho it seems to take some time for me! And then i stink the train out with that smell on the way home!

Not much news with me.. taking a break from the acupuncture for a few weeks.. feeling a bit over it. We've been TTC since Sept and no luck. No AF for almost 3 months... which at any other time of my life would be awesome! lol.. however not now when all i was is to be UTD! Ive got an appt with the Royal Womens Hosp next month to see if they can help out .. Also in June an appt with an endocronologist (ive got PCOS)... Why cant it just happen like they tell you about in school.. you know.. if you have sex you fall pregnant straight away... so nooo sex! lol

My poor DH has been working so hard to build up some savings, working 18 hour days.. then was struck down with shingles.. so we not having a good run! However, on the upside im on holidays next week.. so maybe a bit of RnR with bring on AF and O and a baby? Lol.. i wont hold my breathe!

Just wondering ladies, you are both on Menstrocare.. do u have to see a naturopath to get that? Im taking Vitex, but thought i should try out Menstrocare to see if it can encourage AF to show!

Good luck with ur acupuncture!! And heres to loads of baby dust for us all

Hey lans - sorry to hear Af hasnt shown for 3 months! that sux big time! I actually posted earlier in a new thread, cos ive noticed a few days prior and post O I feel nausea on and off for a couple of days. I'm thinking it might have something to do with my hormones?

LOL @ what your taught in school - if only it was that easy hey!!

Oh accu really hurt this time LOL seriously, I could feel a couple of the needles in my leg and hands sting, i swear he hit a nerve cos my leg jolted! i kinda liked the moxa i could definately feel the warmth! I had to tell him it was hot, at one point i thought he was burning me (Could that mean im not cold inside??) The lady Mary (she's beautiful!) came in to see how I was going, and she stayed with me for around 15-20 minutes soothing me, this time around I was quite tense and made it worse when the needles hurt

My naturopath gave me menstrocare and ovarianne to take for the first month, along with polyfem. Now (2nd cycle) I am just on menstrocare and polyfem, a womens multi vitamin. He also gave DP a mens multi and zinc supps. The multi's he gave us were better than the menevit/elevit.

I feel for your DP doing 18 hr days! Thats crazy!! I hope he doesnt have to do the 18 hr days for too long, he would burn out rather quickly!

I've heard accu helps with your AF? Maybe you should see a naturopath (your choice of course) and see what he/she recommends? Can't hurt ... can it?

DP and I have until September to get a BFP, otherwise we will be off to a FS obviously something no one wants to do hey!

Sometime I wish i could think about other stuff when Im having accu. All I seem to think about is how invasive IVF/IUI is going to be, and its scary! I think about how accu feels, and wonder how much more painful IVF/IUI will be, and how uncomfortable it will be!

Wishing lots of baby dust for us all

    hi naenae83,

Oh ok, so i shouldnt stop taking the tabs when i get my af's, cool thanks, i don't take any other supps ,oh, only diabex for the insulin level, but i might look into taking a natural supp aswell !

I used to take multi vitamin pregnancy platnum ( natures own) which i might start taking them again i guess, well i might have to ask first?!!

What other supps are you taking? this will be my fourth cycle i'm on menstrocare, and i dont have any complaints about them, well i am actually surprised that it has worked so quickly, really, see i always want things to work fast , and i know that i always ' jump the gun ' ( i wanted to get pregnant straight away ) but as the naturo path lady said , it is best to fix me first and then everything will fall into place , hope she is right !!!!

Anyway good luck with your 2ww

    Hi lans,

We are in the same boat ! ( PCOS) and i too was taking vitex on it's own, and nothing was happening, although maybe i didnt give it enough time???

Anyway, i just searched about natural herbs and i made it a misssion to seek help, (other than the gyno, i did have a d&c and caz one ovary is blocked and of course the PCOS, he said to read up on IVF) but i dont want to go down that path,(yet) he didnt even consider me trying clomid !!

i can and i will do everything possible to do it and hopefully i can fix it for good , i always think, am i doing the right thing, and my poor dh doesn't really believe the herbs side of things, but, i need to try at least something !!!!

Any way i'll stop moaning lol, but give the menstocare a try, just ask at a health shop, but only practioner's are allowed to give them, and it does have a lot of diff herbs, i was told by the lady that it takes about 2 - 3 months to get a af, and i started in jan and i saw mine in feb, and again in march so just give it a try .

all the best in what ever you decide to do , hope we eventually ALL get that bonus in the end

P.S about the maybe baby, i think its good, caz you do see the changes of the saliver and i am using it every morning, i have a couple of friends who have used it and they swaer by it, mind you i did um' d and r'd at first !! plus i am doing everything and anything !!!! LOL I keep thinking, i dont mind spending it on something that could will help me in the future , if you know what i mean ( Baby) cheers helen

    Re: Trying something new

    Hi ladies!

Naenae.. How u feeling? Hope af isn't showing any symptoms and u get a bfp!!!

Tweety.. How u feeling? Great news about af starting so quickly after menstrocare. I might have to take myself off to a naturopath.

Afm not much news.. No af still. Finally got my letter from the hospital re appt for help. Had to ring the bug boss at work tonight.. Had to spill the beans that we were trying & having troubles and need to see docs.. And is that ok to take time off work etc. She was lovely about it and now have to fess up to my manager tomorrow. I hate that something so personal has to be spoken about with ppl you normally wouldn't. Drives me crazy that I need help & I can't just rock up and smile excitedly and yell I'm pregnant!!!!!

Ahh enuf if feeling sorry for myself! Went to a gyno not long ago who was rude and told me to lose weight & come back in 6 mths. When I asked about clomid he told me that there is 10% chance twins, which I said was cool.. But he's like NO! More complications blah blah blah so negative about it all. Almost feel like it's discrimination, cos I need help that a doctor can make comment & judgements on my weight, and virtually refuse treatment; however if I managed to become utd naturally they just have to deal with it. Hmph.. Sorry!! Just needed to get it out!

I'm on vitex, prenatal vitamins, royal jelly caps & propolis.. Tried licorice root for 7 days as that's supposed to help too.. I feel like a druggo sometimes!! Lol

    Baby dust for us all

Hi Ladies! How are we all?

My first cycle after the naturopath, I was put on polyfem, menstrocare and ovarianne. Now (2nd cycle) Im on polyfem, menstrocare and a womans multi

Lans - You poor thing re spilling the beans! It does suck when you have to spill your personal beans to someone you normally wouldn't confide in :hugs: for you.I know what you mean bout the situation driving you crazy! It drives us crazy too, we always sit there and wonder ... WHY? WHY US?? have you considered seeing another gyno for a 2nd opinion?

Tweety - we decided to look at other options too after being told our only option will be ivf . We have given ourselves a time limit, and if nothing happens by then we will be off to the FS, scary but if it has to be done, its has to be. We can only hope trying these things will help us with a BFP

As for me in my 2ww, its only 5dpo- and it seems to be going SOOO slow!! Not really feeling anything tho ... dont think think its even implanted yet .. fingers crossed tho!

    :babydust: for ALL of us

Well today is 7dpo, and I'm over TTC.

I couldnt be bothered having accupuncture anymore, or seeing a naturopath.

I do not think we are lucky enough to conceive naturally, so now I guess i need to decided whether or not we should bring our IVF visit up a few months.

Good luck ladies - I hope you manage a BFP naturally!

I am not too bad, i have been using the (maybe baby) for a couple of weeks now and i have seen today the pattern of oving, so now all we have to do is a little of planning (bedroom wise) and hopefully it works !!! i am still doing acupuncture which i hope is helping aswell, anyway i have to do try everything i can . I am giving myself till the end of the year and if nothing has happend i am going to get a second opinion from another doctor, i dont want to just yet, i want to see what happens, i have a gut instinct that it just might work . any ways baby dust to all

    Hi All
I had my first session of acupunture today and he also did cupping (after *****ing the skin, so some old blood comes out).
The man was very informative and I felt comfortable with him and I have confidence in him.
Apparently I need to keep my feet warm and see him once a week until I ovulate, so once more next week as Im CD1 today.
So fingers crossed, heres to trying something new!

How is every one else going?

    Hey girls,

I stopped the accupuncture. It just wasnt for me. I found it so uncomfortable. I am now on a liquid from the naturopath, this is my 2nd month and apparently its given me a 'clean out' so instead of a 28 day cycle, this month was a 21 day I just hope this stuff is really working for me. Our deadline is still September.

BTW - there are now 8 ppl in my fam pg which is depressing H&H 9 months to them, but i wonder why not us? kwim?

I try not to think about it tho, i dont want to be too negative about it ..

Good Luck Kate - hope it all works out for you

    so hows everyone else going?

Naenae - I've just booked my first acupuncture session for next week, but don't know how I feel about now after reading your posts. Fingers crossed anyway. I just wanted to say that if you end up having to go down the ivf road not to panic. I did it a couple of years ago and when the doc first mentioned ivf i nearly fell off my chair - but it got me the beautiful bub I'd dreamed of. Some women need intervention during birth, some need it during pregnancy and some need it to conceive. I'm just glad it is an option these days or maybe i'd still be TTC. Good luck!!!!

thanks Kaybee - The idea of IVF still freaks me out. when we were told the only option would be a referral to an IVF clinic it didnt really sink in until 15 minutes after i left. I was at the shops balling my eyes out. I just couldnt believe all our tests (SA, and O BT) cameback ok I thought we'd be able to do it on our own. Our first step would be iui - and that doesnt seem so bad (permitting iui is an option for us)

Try the accu - it may work for you I was just not comfortable having it done, but i know there are accu stories out there that are successful

BTW - I love your saying 'Some women need intervention during birth, some need it during pregnancy and some need it to conceive' I have never looked at it that way But your right on the mark!

Good Luck with the TTC journey - let us know how you go. Are you having sessions weekly? I also had a massage after my accu. That was the only thing i looked forward to LOL

    Naenae

Not sure how often my accu sessions will be yet, but will definitely ask about a massage while I'm there! I know the whole idea of ivf is so scary - it's like admitting those things that only happen to other people are actually happening to you. Iui was an option for us but I figured that if I was going to get help I wanted the help that was going to have the greatest chances of working so I could just get in, get pregnant and get on with life. Ahhh, decisions decisions! Best of luck

    Totally.

How long were you ttc#1? If you dont mind me asking - what type of issue do you/your dh have?

Basically we were just labeled infertile because the time that has lapsed and no pregnancy what so ever, and they couldnt find any other reason

    Good Luck to you too
