:happyforyou: Baymonster - That is sooo cool.:dance: I had the chat with my Doc about false BFP when I went to get my OB refereal. He said that the test only measure HGC which our bodys can't create without being pregnant. So if it comes up with a BFP then you're pregnant..... You can get a false negative if it is too early, but not a false positive. So congratulations hun you now have a little person growing inside you, they look like a sea monkey at the moment and it may not feel like you pgt (treasure that feeling MS is unbelievable) and welcome to the club...
-
Babymonster - woo!!!! Fantastic, well done
Tryinglikecrazy - I am on my 12th cycle TTC as well, not a very nice anniversary really. Hang on in there though, it will happen
Mabello and Airline - GL in your TWWs :goodluck2:
LSK - hello. I'm good thanks, just waiting to O. Boo. 4th round of clomid and I'm not really holding out much hope. I guess I'm just fed up of having my hopes dashed every month, it gets hard to pick yourself up every time :(
MelA - hello :hello:
Bella :woot: Thailand will be fabulous
-
Mel A and lou lou....thanks for the congrats.
Our doc rang this morning to tell us the news but he was a bit late as we already knew from the HPT. He got my BT back early and all the levels he was checking for the FS were raised and came back as an early pregnancy. So its official!:D I'm too scared to get really excited as this is my very first pregnancy and am unsure what to expect and DH wants to be cautious till 12 weeks. After trying for 2 1/2 yrs it stil seems like a dream.
I hope everyone gets some good news in the next few weeks...wishing you all luck!
-
Babymonster I am so pleased for you - especially now you have the offical BT news. After all this time you've done it - you're going to be a Mummy :happyforyou:
Of course you have to be cautious but still, this is the first step and you should feel very pleased with yourself :woot:
I am feeling down at the moment because it is my 12th cycle TTC but compared to what you've been through, that's nothing. Very inspiring - perhaps I'll join you in a few weeks?! ;)
PS - how come you have 2.5 furkids?
-
Hey Lou lou,
Thankyou once again for your support. I hope you join me soon as i'll need some pregnancy buddies! As for the 2.5 furkids this is the story. I had 2 dogs when i met my DH. Even though he loves them dearly he is a cat person. So I bought him a kitten for valentines day this year and well let me put it this way...she thinks she's a dog....not any dog but a german shepherd! Those two sleep together, play together , do everything together and the cat even grooms the shepherd and visa versa....She stalks my jack russell though! so hence we have 2.5 dogs as she does not act like a cat at all.It is very cute to watch.
-
Oh Babymonster - CONGRATULATIONS :dance::dance::dance:
i'm so happy for you. Hope a few more can join you soon. xxxx
-
Babymonster - that's so cute about your 2.5 furkids, bless :)
Bella - we'll get there in the end, I just wish I knew when so I could do something else to pass the time instead of obsessing with TTC. Sigh :wall:. Ah well, it'll be O time for me at the weekend so that's always enouraging :).
One general question - I read some where that you shouldn't take clomid for more than 6 cycles (I think it was an article on BB but I've read so many I have lost track). Does anyone have any info on how many rounds of clomid is the norm?
Well time for bed. Hello to everyone else out there :hello:
-
Hey,
My OBGYN has only allowed me to have 6 rounds of clomid as well.... to tell the truth not totally sure why, im sure he told me...something about effecting your body??
Ive havent taken it every cycle though due to my hubby working interstate, no point taking it if he's not there to "do the deed".
-
lou lou, bella and all the rest,
Wishing you all the best over the next few weeks.Hoping you get good results!
Lou lou... keep your chin up girl but i know what you mean about feeling down. I cried and stayed in bed for a day or 2 after our 21 day bt as we were told it didn't work! Only now I'm in bed due to bad heartburn and morning sicknes 2 weeks later! I wont say "relax it'll happen" as that use to drive me insane. All I'll say is take some time for yourself.Only you know how to bring yourself out of the dumps and stuff anyone else!
Bella...Have a fantastic time on holidays!
Airline...Hows the scrapbooking coming on?
Mabello.Goodluck in the TWW!
Mel A...I so understand what you mean now about ms being unbelievable but it'll be worth it i the end!
-
Hi Everyone,
LouLou - i hear you - I find it so hard to try and plan anything as well cause i'm always think "i might be UTD so no i won't go or i won't do that" then the time comes around and hey guess what I'M STILL TRYING :wall:!
Airline - We are thinking of going to phuket for 8-10 nights purly for relax, swim, sunbake and drink!! Thinking of staying at the Novotel or The Merlin (something like that!) What are your thoughts???? I know Koh Samui is beatiful but i think we will just stay in the one spot and relax. How are you anyway hun?
AFM - I don't feel UTD but i don't feel like AF is coming either???? Will wait and see closer to the weekend - was so going to test this morning but i'm glad i didn't
BBL to catch up
xxBella

Bella:
Most of my colleagues have been to Phuket, and love it!! My supervisor leaves on the 5th to go there...lucky thing!
I believe there are a few reasons why you don't take clomid for longer than 6 months, but they include the fact that it thins your uterus lining, and there is a higher chance of miscarriage apparently.
babymonster:
massive congratulations...sorry it's a bit late! how you feeling now???
Tryinglikecrazy:
I know what you mean about it being a year etc. I'm into 13th month officially (we came off the pill 19 months ago, but used protection...to get my body sorted after the pill
Mabello...how's your 2ww going?? or is that a silly question? I find that no two months are the same. I seem to feel different about each one. I'm less obsessed than last month, and I've limited my time on the forums which I think has helped.
I'm on CD25..8DPO. I am most definately not testing till the date suggested by FF.
Although saying that DH is going away for 10 days, on the day we should test,so if AF hasn't arrived we'll do the test the day before. I'll either be :( and he'll go the next day...or  and he'll go away the next day! Their software gave us a High chance of conceiving due to OPK, temps. etc, but it did last time and AF arrived.
I don't feel annnnnyyyy different...and it's giving me the *****!! The closer I get, the more I think negatively cos I feel 'normal'. Have to remind myself that a lot of people have no symptoms.
Anyway, my distraction..which is fast becoming my new obsession (must stay away from all shops) is scrapbooking. I'm loving it. I'm not very arty, but I like to play, and sometimes I feel quite creative. Every now and then, I think about the fact that it will be something that I pass onto my children, to show them our life before they came along. My new pages are my mum's birthday lunch and I've got a heap of photos developed and ready to scrap!
Just watched the State of Origin.....whoo hoo..go the maroons!!!! Billy Slater my hero!
-
Well girls....I found out today that someone overweight and who smokes heavily has fallen pregnant after a very short time. That threw me, didn't expect it. Went to the mall, and everywhere I bloody turned someone was heavily pregnant. Got home, collapsed into tears. Got myself together.....then discovered some blood after I went to toilet. :( I don't always get this, but sometimes before my period arrives. At CD26 and DPO9 it's about right.
Hope others having more luck.
-
airline: at 8dpo i had some light spotting and it was implantantion! a few days later i discovered i was pregnant! hang in there lovey xx
-
thanks mabello...I'd love to hope....but I know what I'm like and I quite often 'spot' before period. This is brown though....not sure if that's normal.
-
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick me note - BFN this am :wall: :( :wall: :(
Last round of clomid for us once AF arrives. I don't feel to bad as i really didn't think this was our month. The only thing i'm going to do differently this cycle is more BDing :D eating healthy and exercise other than that what will be will be.
Any news from anyone else
Hi to all
xxBella
-
Well its about time that I finally put fingers to keys and added my two cents worth to this site.
I have been reading your posts for a few weeks now and almost feel like I know you.
I have been TTC my second child for the past 6 months. I am currently taking Metformin for PCOS and am about to try my first cycle of Clomid. I have read lots of promising posts and have my fingers crossed!!
I conceived my son after nearly 10 years of trying then after just 3 months on Metformin the BFP I thought would never appear was there!
Anyway HI from me :) I look forward to getting to know you and love the opportunity to share in the difficult, stressful, sad & joyous journey we are all going through!
-
bella im so sorry...i got a bfn this morning too (12dpo). Hopefully it was just too early for us
airline: how are you travelling?
welcome nick! Hopefully the metformin works again quickly for you.
I went to see my FS today who said keep trying with clomid. waiting for af now to start my 8th cycle :(
-
Well my lovely ladies....sad news...AF arrived today....she's getting meaner every time. :(
Anyway, I did my crying the other day, so today was more about, 'hey ho where's the panadol?'
On a positive note, my cycle was 30 days with 12 luteal last cycle and 29 with 12 luteal this cycle. So happy that I"m textbook with my luteal phase...if nothing else!
That was my last effort with clomid...all natural now. Dh has just advised (whilst looking over shoulder) that we'll be pregnant next month )
Nick the chick....welcome welcome. Good luck with your journey and let us know how you're going. I find this a far better website than any other I've ventured onto. It allows you to express yourself freely, and you can have a laugh as well as sympathise/empathise with others.
Bella and Mabello, sorry for your BFN, fingers crossed just too early. If you don't get your good news....we'll catch up next cycle seeing as we seem to be cycle sisters.
Speak soon
-
Oh no, so sorry to all those who have had BFNs, boo :(
Nick - welcome and GL. 10 years TTC sounds SO stressful. I hope it's not that long this time
Me - I have O-ed (probably Sunday but I haven't been temping every day because of early starts etc.) so I'll just wait and see. I have given up getting my hopes up as I can't handle the let down. Still, you never know. Sigh.
Hello to all you lovely ladies out there :hello:
-
Any news Maybello???
Af still hasn't arrived for me so will test again tom if still nothing. I feel very moody though like iusually do pre AF so i'm not all that hopeful.
Hi to everyone.
xxBella
-
Mabello, Airline & Loulou thanks so much for the warm welcome.
I have been on the metformin for about 6 months now and had a miscarriage in late May.
So trying to remain positive, at least I was able to fall pregnant again!
Now we just need one to stick!!!
My doctor wants me to wait for a few months after the MC to give my body a chance to cleanse itself and then we can try again. It is so hard to not try.
I have just gotten my first script for Clomid and am going to start taking it next month. :crossfingers:
Given my age I can't afford for it to be another 10 years til I fall pregnant again.
God knows I don't want a newborn when I'm in my 40's, I barely have the energy to keep up with my son now!!
I am feeling very positive though and know that it will happen whent he time is right. Hopefully that will be soon!!
I apologise for the blatent overuse of smilies I am having a great time playing with them
Hope you are all fit and well and I send positive vibes to you all!
Nick :woman:
-
hi all. well i havent been hanging around lately as have been feeling a bit down, as i'm sure many of you have experienced!! congrats to all the people who have had BFP's...especially Babymonster!!!thats great news!! well i my blood test to see if i am pregnant on monday morning after my first round of clomid! i actually ovulated which i was totally shocked at, as i'm pretty sure thats a very rare thing for me, so we'll see what happens!! for now i'm just happy the clomid did something, but of course a positive result would be even better!! anyway, keep on trying to stay positive everyone, baby dust to all of you xo
-
Hey girls,
Sorry i haven't been on for a while so i just wanted to check to see how everyone was going? I'm keeping my fingers crossed fo you all. Dh is taking me to see mam mia tonight but me thinks it will be very cold at the drive ins tonight!
-

-
So sorry to hear that Mabello. It's a **** isn't it!
babymonster, hope mamma mia was good, going with the girls and my mum on 21st.
how cold is it!!! it's freezing up here in the 'sunshine state'!!
-
yep its freezing here in victoria as well :(
-
AF is on her way to my door, spotting started yesterday at 6DPO which is SO early (normally I get it at 8DPO). If I am losing my lining this early, how is a little one supposed to stick?! :(
Looks like round 5 of clomid is only a few days away
On a positive note, it's sunny in FNQ :)
-
Lou Lou I am so sorry to hear of AF's untimely arrival! I know how disheartening that can be.
Don't give up hope though, it will happen for you.
I am living proof that when the time is right it will happen.
I am actually waiting for AF to arrive so that I can start my first round of Clomid.
Chin up :) :bluedust:
-
Nick - thanks hun. I really hope it happens for all of us folk here soon. Sigh
-
So sorry Loulou. I'm on cd9...dh is away at the mo. so trying to keep busy. Actually going for a few natural cycles so should probably not post on this thread anymore...my 6 months of clomid's up
-
Hello everyone
So I've been trying for my fourth child (I know, I've got three already) and this is the first time I haven't been able to conceive within 3 months. I had my first son when I was 17, my second son at 19 and my daughter at 24. I'm now divorced and engaged to a wonderful man who has no children. I'm also 32 and the doctor diagnosed me with PCOS last year. I had NO idea what it was until I was diagnosed and was told after 30 it would be difficult to get pregnant.
Now I realize the problem may be with my fiance's sperm, but I'm not ready to have that tested yet, maybe a bit of denial or fright perhaps. I've been on Metformin since March 500 mg, split in half, one half in the morning, one in the evening.....nothing yet. I stopped taking it for a couple of weeks because I got discouraged, but I just started it again this morning.
My menstruation was normal for April, May and June but now I am 13 days late. I took a pregnancy test the first day of my missed period and nothing...
:wall:
-
hi cheetoh, hopefully the test was just too early. have you tested again since?hope its a good sign for you
bad news everyon..... i have to stop taking clomid cos it has been giving me severe migraines and i cannot look after my son when i have them.i really hope we can conceive naturally :(:(
-
Hi to all you lovely ladies out there :)
So sorry to hear that you have to stop the Clomid Mabello, I am just about to start taking it and have heard that it can cause bad headaches.
Welcome Cheetoh, I hope that your stay here is a short one and you are able to conceive soon.
There are lots of wonderful women on this site who can help you with any questions you may have.
Feel free to ask away....
ATM - I cannot believe that I am going to say this but I am actually happy to report that AF arrived this morning!! :cheer:
At least now I can begin my first round of Clomid & :fingerscrossed: we have some success soon. :excited:
Sending lots of :bluedust: :pink-babydust: to you all
