Nurse just called said everything is fine for me to start clomid, that's tomorrow. Kinda of excited and anxious…
so funny the other day after we saw FS and got the drug, DH was holding my hands and really lovingly said to me:’ hope you won’t have any side effects darling…… you are moody enough’ I have to laugh
BTW, find a discreet way doing postings at work, just do it in word document so that no one can see what you're up to, then copy and paste into the forum...so chicky….

BW- It is such a shame when you think you can trust people and they let you down. That is great that your DH is at the specialist, wow that time went really quickly. Let us know how he goes.

I don't think I have ever posted so much in one day. It was so nice to have the day of work and just do nothing. I might just have to be sneaky like BeiBei and post in a word doc... very cheeky BeiBei very cheeky.
I'm pretty tired, so I don't know how much of this I have taken in, or how much I can communicate effectively.
DH's specialist is recommending surgery rather than the embolisation. This means at least a week off work, which seems... I don't know, I think the embolisation would have been a lot less invasive and traumatising.
Apparently DH also has small testicles. As the varicocele has been there for a long time (while he was growing) and has effected the devolpment of his testicles. I'm freaking out about this one, as DH has to have a series of blood tests - testosterone, FSH (:eek and LFTs. The testosterone seems obvious, the FSH apparently has a different role in men than in women, and while I know LFTs are liver function tests, I'm a little baffled as to why he needs them checked. I'm also petrified that DH's small, under-developed testicles are going to mean that it's impossible for us to conceive without IVF.
So... DH has blood tests, ultrasound, then back to the specialist to book in for surgery. Biggest panic for him right now is that one of our friends from church (young and female) works at the radiology place...
Well I did my test this morning and unfortunately it is a for me. Oh well I will just have to wait for af to show up. I will test again next week if she hasn't arrived over the weekend. I still haven't any signs of her arrival so maybe it's just too early early to test or maybe my levels are too low to be picked up on a hpt. Does anyone know what your levels need to be to be picked up on a hpt? I know that when I was preg last November I got a bfn at home and went to drs the same day and she did a b/t which came back possitive. Maybe I should get a b/t next week if no af. What do you all think???

Mako, I wish you more luck than me... every time I get to a decent length of time after ovulation and have no AF, and test and get BFN... it turns out that I never actually ovulated at all, so that is just what I generally assume now.
Interesting information that came from my OB friend... metformin should be between 1500mg and 2550mg. I increased mine to 2000mg this morning. And clomid will give me side effects regardless of whether it will make me ovulate or not (bugger!). And it more than likely is PCOS... because I responded to provera, because my reproductive system is (apart from the PCOs) normal, and for a few other reasons that I can't remember now. I'm just lucky (hah!) that it is non-obese PCOS, but unlucky in that getting me to ovulate seems to be quite tricky.

I know that I have ovulated as it showed up on my 23day b/t. Can you tell me why your ob friend said to take metformin between 1500mg to 2550mg? I thought it would depend on how we respond to the doses that have been prescribed and monitered. I don't really know too much about metformin and I was under the impression it was to control symptoms of diabeties. I'm not sure why I have been given this as I don't have diabeties and haven't showed any sign of getting it in the future. The only thing that my spec said is that sometimes taking the two meds together increases the chance of pregnancy. I would appreciate your thoughts.
