Bindy I tend to get this after transfer too but I think we notice every twinge more sweet just because we want it so much
Hi All,
I have only been in this position once before and I really wasn't as aware of my body as I am now. I am now 2 days post 2 x ET and I have had small little crampy pains on my right side, the IVF nurses told me to stay on Panadol for 3 days afterwards to help to relax my uterus. I have read some of the threads regarding implatation bleed etc does this happen to all women? and when do you expect it?
Hoping you can help.

True, I am trying to busy myself, but it is always there in the back of my mind. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement
I am trying to do everything right, eating healthy organic food, taking my elevit and long list of medications, drinking 2-3 litres of water a day, no caffine and trying to keep as cool as I can - I know that everything I do has got to help the out come.
Thanks Tiggerlinda

Hi Bindy
I didnt get any bleeding with my TWW so id say no it doesnt happen with every implantation. I think it might be abit early but you just never know. The only real pain so to speak I got was at the end of my TWW. AF like sypmtoms but it wasnt that. I was pg. I wish you lots of luck hun. stay pos+++ and I find that sitting rather then laying down for relaxing is good. I found that every time I lay I ended up with BFN but when sitting I got my 3 BFP. Good luck
Oh and dont have baths!!!!
Bindy, not all women get implantation bleeding. Even those that have had implantation bleeding at some stage will not get it every time. I've had four pregnancies resulting from embryo transfers, and only one of those has resulted in any implantation bleeding.

Hi Bindy,
I cant really help you re implantation bleeding as we have not go that far, but I understand that it not that common, but can and does happen.
With my ET and FETs, I've got cramping a few days after the transfer (like a pulling or tugging - often around my belly button), and then normal AF cramps around AF time. I've rung the nurses re the early cramps who have said that they are prob too early for implantation, but could be just a side effect of the transfer.
Sounds like you are doing everything you can right, so try and relax and good luck. Wishing you a BFP at the end of the (long and stressful) TWW.
Good luck

hi Bindy,
those pulling sensations could also be the progestrone -are you using the cream? I have had constant pullings, tugging like feeling since my transfer 5 days ago. I also have sore breasts but I really do put this all down to the progrestrone cream I am using, as it tried to fool me before!
I did NOT have any implantation bleed when I concieved my son, but I know some do, and even a friend of mine had regular periods for 4 months until she found out she was pregnant !!
The very, very best of luck to you.
Hi Runnermum,
No I am on Progesterone Pesseries. I had a little blood last night (more watery pink with a tiny bit of blood) the clinic assured me that it was nothing to worry about - they believe it was just implantation bleed. I haven't got sore breasts, but they have swollen and yes I agree I think it is more the medications.
I will be crossing my fingers for you. Did you have an embryo or blastocyst transfer?
hi bindy,
I was meant to get a blastie but as it was my only surviving embryo, it was decided to put it back at 3 days, and not wait and maybe risk losing it. However, it was a grade 1 and looked great according to FS. But has it implanted, that is the question.
I don't feel confident. I suppose after 7 transfers (1 fresh, 6 frozen and now this one), I really hate getting my hopes up.
But we have to be in it to win it!! So I am not ready to give up yet, and at least my next transfer will be another fresh one.
very best to you also, let this be YOUR month.
Runnermum, I want to give you a little bit of hope with my story...
I've had a total of four blastocyst transfers, which have given me three pregnancies and three miscarriages. I've had major problems thawing embryos in the past, as well as major problems with hyperstimulating so I'd not had a fresh transfer at all.
We headed into our third stim cycle with a new plan to avoid the hyperstimulation at all costs. Believing that a fresh blastocyst transfer would be the answer to our problems...
Having PCOS changes the way egg numbers and fertilisation rates work for us. I got 20 eggs, but only 12 of those were mature. We'd never had fertilisation problems before as we use ICSI, but this time, only four of our 12 eggs fertilised. We were absolutely devestated at this point. On day two, we were told that only three of our embryos had divided... We'd gone from cycles giving us 4 and 7 blastocysts (from MASSIVE egg numbers), to only having three embryos and feeling extremely deflated. We too made the decision to transfer on day three and not risk growing to blastocyst and having nothing to transfer...
Fast forward three weeks and I'm now just over five weeks pregnant and hoping like mad that this one will stick long term. But it just goes to show that blastocyst culture is NOT the be all and end all of IVF. I wish you every success, but please don't second guess yourself on the blast decision. You did the only thing you could at the time (as did I), and people still get pregnant with day three transfers, and people still get BFNs with blastocyst transfers.
