I have been given basically the same info as Scooby has posted. FS will only give 3 cycles of clomid before trying injections of FSH. FS will not give clomid until all tests have been done for both male and female. My FS didn't even go down the clomid route with me, he isn't a big fan of it due to the effects of it on the endometrium. I was put straight onto injections of Puregon after all our tests came back as normal. Hope this helps!
