How to register for Paid Parental Leave on the Centrelink website

    HELP!

I spent over an hour last night trying to register for PPL and got no where! The website is so confusing! I registered for online services and got a CAN number but couldn't for the life of me find where to actually register for the PPL!!!!

I did the online estimater but that only told me that PPL was better for me then the baby bonus... seriously the site sucks...

does anyone know where I have to go? is it easier to go in?

U have to log on to the online services and then one of the options is claims and in the next open column there is a start a new claim or my claims Somethig like that.. U can then start filling in the online application. U can not finalize the application until ur new baby is born though.

It takes AGES! BUt trust me, its easier to do it online than to go in! Minivini gave you the right go to items, just keep trying, you can save the application and come back to it later. If you go in, they will tell you to bring a whole heap of stuff and you will probably not have everything anyway, so they will refer you to the website!! Its a pain, but worth it in the end!! J.

    go online and log in
go to apply for a payment
    make a claim
choose the option of "i am a parent or guardian" or similar
then it will ask if you're due to have a baby in the next three months (or similar) - then follow the questions from there
