    going back to work soon...

well my time staying home is nearly up...
I have cried and pleaded with DH to stay home BUT i simply can't
It comes down to $$$ and we could financially afford for me to stay home BUT we wouldn't get ahead..if you get what i am saying...
We aren't paying for childcare when i go back as DH mum is going to mind Jack... but i feel oh soo guilty like i am having someone else (who i don't like and don't get along with ) raise my child... I am scared i am going to miss out on LOTS of things.. which then in turn makes me feel like a BAD mother...
why am i soo hard on myself???

It's a hard decision to make babe - I'm sure you wouldn't be doing it unless it was absolutely necessary for your family to get by in life.

I returned to work when both my babies were 3 months old - so I know how hard it is.

Don't be too hard on yourself.. we only do what we HAVE to...

Would it be better to pay someone you feel happier with???
I know how hard it is to go back to work with a little one, we cannot survive without my income so I had to go back but its still heartbreaking not to mention exhausting.
Sory your DH won't let you stay home. Are you going back P/T??

Maybe you can compromise by just going back a couple of days a week?? Is there a job you do where you can work from home??

I am going to be in your situation in about 6months and I know it will be hard. Big to you sweetie!

Why do you "have" to leave bub there? Day care centres are not as expensive as you might think, particularly when you get the 50% rebate from the government. There is no way known I would leave my son with someone I didn't like. You are never going to feel comfortable leaving him there and will worry about him all the time no doubt. Much better to put him in a place where you feel comfortable with the carers & where he will be well looked after & entertained, rather than with someone who may feel obligated to care for him.

My DS goes to FDC, its only about $7 an hour and I get 1/2 that back every 3 months. I think the money spent is worth it not to have to leave him with your mother.
Can you do more hours in less days??
