My cousin had similar issues with her employer - them changing their minds all the time about whether she can come back part time or not, well in the end they refused to give her part time work and she is now going through the court system.
Id do what the other gals say and state that you intend to come back after 12 months and then decide later on once bubs arrives as to what suits you best. Hopefully you will be able to negotiate something with them closer to your return date/
