Is this right / fair?

Ok well, I wrote my letter in, and recieved a letter back from them offering me a part time position 3 days a week. It is my old position, but just on a part time basis. So, I got what I asked for. They want me to start next week (yeah right!) but I'm trying to delay it till March.

I feel a bit funny about going back - like I'll be treated poorly because I caused trouble for them. They made it sound as if it was a bit huge effort for them to offer a part time position to me.

I dont know what to do though... should I trust my instinct that they'll be crap and not go back at all? Or should I just go back, work my butt off, see how it goes, and if theyre being crap then resign?

Tough call but if it was me, I would go back and see how things go. If it really is that bad you can always resign but at least you can say you tried.
